Come home drained and exhausted after spending a whole day fighting all those work deadlines (having to go to the office at weekend is merely a torture >"<) but that kissing picture of our So-Soo couple has saved my day  Luckily, my weekend isn't ruined completely and I have something to hold onto until the release of new episodes. I think I will just keep looking at that pic, swooning over their cuteness and sweetness, and let my imagination run wild   It looks like we're gonna see a double kiss because there is no way WS can let HS get away with stealing a kiss from him without paying her back, right  The only thing that makes me nervous is whether I can survive if the kiss will be in ep 15 instead of ep 14, which means another week to wait (NOOOO, I don't even want to think about it ) If that's the case then the person who leaked that pic out in the first place should be punished for testing and playing with our fragile hearts

Also, I have a list of shows that I want to watch later this year but if I really want to succeed in life, then I have to not log in to Soompi for a while....

@ruizaio Thank you for elaborating on the Shinju Kangs and their hand as kingmakers. Interesting that So was Taejo's favourite son, yet he was given to Lady Kang as a son, which I presume means he does not stay in the palace. Was this part of Taejo's plan to harness the support of the Shinju Kangs behind So as preparation for So's future as king? And he was the first among his siblings to marry, even compared to the Crown Prince? That certainly deviates from the drama as well.

Thank you too for sharing HJH's insights into Queen Yoo's relationship with her children, without which we would not have known that So was favoured, until he was marked by the scar. Definitely reinforces Queen Yoo's character as one who was never a mother in the true sense of the word, but saw her children as dispensable stepping stones to amassing absolute power. I guess in the drama, the only person she only truly loved apart from herself was her husband. Which explains why Yo was frantic when he failed to perform the rain ritual... fearing that he would lose his mother's favour, having seen first hand how she treats any son she heartlessly casts aside.

Fuuuuuhhhhhhh. I was away in real life and when I scroll my FB feed from JGfamily of this picture...my heart literally skip a beat......OMGGGGG!!! DAEBAKKKKK SAKO!!!

Wang So's lips touches softly yet lovingly on to Haesoo's upper lips while his eyes lingers deeply with love on his sarang (love). That mouth open, just gasping for enough air before the full touch of both lips is right on the mark. Time seems to pause and space is non-existent, consumed by the loving and intimate experience shared only by the two lovebirds. 

This glory kissing and touching of the lips is so SENSUAL yet very sweet. Lee Joon Gi romance and kissing scenes is one notch up-level in this drama. HOTTTTT!!! He must have dated and practiced more...*coughJeonHyeBin*

Fuuuhhhhhhh....Director-nim please I need more lovey-dovey scenes to compensate for my lack of dating DNA and romance in real life. JAEBAL!!

The Director is good at capturing melo-romance scenes if you watch Padam Padam. Director-nim this is where the close-ups is done rightfully. I repeat this is it!!!! 

 

P.S. Though sometimes I think the pictures, GIF, still cuts looks better and bring the story, characters, costumes and scenes more alive than the drama. Should be the filter that the Director is using.  Its okay, I still love and enjoying this drama to the fullest. It tugs at one's heartstrings .

Acting of casts is one of the main factor for the success of the drama but it is not everything. Great acting but with not so intriguing story will also suffers dismal viewership. Directing also plays a crucial role because it brings the story to live based on the vision and stewardship of the Director. Casting is also one thing. But an actor/actress who plays the role/character very well usually becomes the character, become like who the character is, and in doing so that level of intensity and immersion can be felt by the viewers. The character is alive. It touches the emotions and heart of the audience and that they can relate with the character. I will like to quote one of Yoon Si Yoon answers for an interview after he finished the King of Baking Kim Tak Gu which has one of the highest ratings of Kdramas all-time. The casts refute his casting for the main character yet the scriptwriter play a gamble by casting him because he is like the character. The drama has 50% of viewership not because of his acting - he is still a rookie, lack vocalization, technique, skills, emotional expressions but rather because he becomes one like the character. They are touch by his character and that pull viewers and they stay tune till the end. It's not about a skill doesn't it (not logic) but heart. How much are you willing to let go your-self and fell in love with the character and bring it alive. Ryu Seung Soo mentions that in acting you have to let go. Actors/actress usually knows that they are into the character when they need to have some time to depart from the character (withdrawal). Thus, Best Actor/Actress award in a highly reputable film awards usually award to the best actor who brings the character to live, or who becomes the character. No one can ever surpass the role. That actor/actress is the character. I think that is the best achievement, fulfilment a true actor/actress will want to have that he/she is the character. In short it is not a about skill or experience, it is about becoming one with the character. Lee Joon Gi does very well as Wang So. Despite his violent, obsessive character in the beginning many viewers are pulled in and sympathise with his character (one user mentioned this before as well). I have to reserve my final thoughts until the drama end.

Mu's death then, apparently. Do you guys think he'll be killed in Yo's surprise attack, poisoned, or just die because of an illness? That blood coming out of his mouth makes me think that it'll be one of the latter two.

Also, if all goes well with the baseball scheduling, then only two more days to go! I can't believe they've already started releasing bts of unaired scenes—they must know that we're getting impatient, lol.

CP reign is the most peaceful reign i think... HS slowly became herself back with the help of WS of course.. the romance is blooming between HS and WS...

i pretty sure we going to have a bed scene or a hint of bed scene... with this rate there is no way the director will skip that one.. also its an iconic scene in novel after 4th explain why he did't want RX to be his consort... and how RX have his heart...

I just wanted to say prior to Scarlet heart and lee joon gi, I never believed in those stories that the couple starts off hating each other and then starts to develop feelings. I came into Scarlet heart because of the ensemble cast, because IU look so pretty in those historical dresses, and also the simulcast.

I really didnt like Lee Joon Gi at all prior to Scarlet heart, the feeling wasnt even neutral,  I never watch any of his previous dramas.  But I have fallen so deep............its incredible.  So these hate to love stories are true   

Pride and Prejudice is such an all time classic, it applies to all countries and all eras. 

 

I'm sorry, I dont remember who made the connection between MLSHR and Pride & Prejudice. Woow, I'm amazed that someone would compare the two. MLSHR really does cause ripples. Discussion is not limited to Kdramaland only.

I love Pride and Prejudice. Jane Austen is one of my fave classic authors. There is a similarities between Elizabeth - Darcy, and Soo - So, but the similarities only scratch the surface. She is prejudice and he is proud, whereas Soo is like the combination of Elizabeth and Anne Elliot, throw in a dash of Catherine Morland, and So ... Well So is more similar to Darcy here. Never waver in his love. Always the savior. But of course, 2 different stories from 2 different world and period. 

@qwenli I never even heard of LJK before, sorry ladies, dont mean to offend. I'm still neutral about him, but I am at awe with his acting power. He is truly talented and professional. My hat to him!
