I just started watching this drama after leaving an almost finished one that has lost my interest in - (Make a Woman Cry) so hopefully this drama would make me follow till the end.

BTW - I already hate the Chief.

@viyra,  I'm linking this drama to been following it since it first start airing, Sometime team leader needs to check her temper it's a little to over the top for a cop but she's good at reading people this what I like about her

There are actually a couple of very interesting subplots brewing beside the obvious murder investigations. Sunbae Han kept asking why Secretary Yeom (the cocky assistant of the chairman, the driver) looks familiar to him. Han kept thinking he'd seen him somewhere before and for sure Han wasn't there at the airport to arrest the chairman's son. I bet Yeom may have killed Han's beloved girlfriend and was involved in that accident which may not have been an accident. If that is the case, we can look forward to an epic battle between those two, haha, as if the hatred hasn't been amplified enough. This is getting really tense and explosive. The other battle is between two really bad people: chairman has a really accurate look at the serial murderer's face using the black box memory card and the serial murderer's advance computer skills have allowed him to access secret information of the dealings of KL Industries. I look for that pair to be around for a few more episodes to battle it out in front of the police. But for sure the chairman will be around until the very end.

@valsava - I don't hate the lady captain but the Chief of them all who takes bribes.

after episode 6, I started to dislike the rookie cop lady's attitude.  I hope the captain does something about her attitude towards her senior Han.  BTW, that casino chip Han threw on the culprit must have something to do with Han's previous life.

OT - did Shin Soyul have surgery - a big change - she looked different.

@peggygordon - They deserve the good ratings. In fact, this drama feels more like a throwback to the older and better kdramas, I've been recently watching.

@nearsea - Yeah, Kim Hee Ae's acting is so effortless, ergo the generally cool and easy vibe she exudes as the team leader. Also, KHA and LDH's willingness to look bad is admirable, you can tell, they're throwing in their best acting efforts into their roles unmindful of the way they look. That's uncommon with today's actresses. Together, they're giving Kim Min Jong and Son Ho Jun a run for their money. Lol

@viyra,  I'm not sure about the surgery thing,

I think it would be the one that just got release from prison inform team leader about who really killed her dad. I think the chief that take bribes got in that position by help setting him up so he will him inform team leader to look at the big picture drugs, prosititution, kidnapping trafficking you name he's involved in it all hes getting a cut.. Now the prison man will ask her what all of them have in common, He won't come out and tell her but he knows she pretty smart at reading people I just hope she can keep that temper in check when she finds the connection..

Now the younger team member she's got to learn to think outside of the rules and how to apply them to the rules she still have a long ways because she do everything by the book but will learn that what she was taught in the academy don't apply to life on the streets and criminals are way more smarter and elaborate with they crimes and not to take everything for what it seems if a crime is to easy to solve it wouldn't have committed in the first place..

Apart from the cops at the start..when they dint go back to the crime scene after failing to catch the killer..this episode was really intense.I love Min Do Young and Han Jin Woo too! Also the whole cop association along with the cooking ahjumma...though it's true that the family issues kind of fell behind and it was supposed to be a career woman juggling behind the two centers of her life..but considering dramas previously went from good to worst..this is going reverse here...from good to better.I can even see this going for a season 2..lol.While yongpal is more on the adrenaline rush..this drama deals with lots of severe issues..and they do their study too.And yah not to mention the cop lady again..she is a good leader and has a strong head on her shoulder, quite intelligent.

@valsava - that's what my thoughts are too regarding the person who killed Mrs. Cop father.

What I like about this drama is, even tho' it evolves around a woman who does police work, she don't do much like how men are doing - I.e., tumbling, punching, kicking, etc., which is too impossible sometimes.  I like her as a cool detective - that's why it is hard for her underlings to find out how she solves a case.

This police drama is really outstanding and the plotlines are developed so nicely. At the end of Episode 8, there is some hope the good guys will soon gain an edge and the hopelessness that Team Leader Choi experienced (not since her rookie year) might end and that she could start kicking butts again.

(1) Once the young victim regains consciousness, she could help identify the serial murderer. She could also explain how she was lured by that man, the scheme of picking up an unattended cell phone. Since the team has already arrested him once for that reason, it would be case closed very quickly because they know exactly where he is (his studio of gaming art).

(2) I hope Mrs. Cop would not give into the demand of releasing the chairman's son early from prison because she does not need that black box chip that much (because of (1) above). Also, the chairman might have to deal with his loss of secured information to the serial killer and that he might be blackmailed to not release the chip. You see, at the end of the clock, the video showed the chairman with a cross around his mouth. That is daring the police to ask the chairman and then he wouldn't be able to talk. It is all about the "game" for the killer, he likes to play games. The information the killer has on KL Industries is that the company paid off the prosecutor and the police chief.

(3) The police could also look into the sales of black spray paint. In the USA, the spray paint cans are locked up in a glass case in most home improvement stores or auto parts stores because a lot of people were using them to draw graffitis. For a normal person to buy spray paint, he would have to ask for the help of a store attendant. Using police resources, they could identify most of the recent sales of the black paint. Just another lead. Also the white binding chord used in the murders and murder attempt are the same brand.

(4) Yes, the CCTV monitors were painted black inside the warehouse of murder, but other surrounding CCTV monitors could be used to see who has entered the building or specific parts of the building. When the car sped away at the end of Episode 8, almost running Min over, there were quite a few other cars parked next to it. Those cars all had a black box and they must be able to show a close-up of the killer entering his car. Also, that car has now some bullet holes.

Looking forward to more excitement early next week.

@drmjs yes, they deserve the good ratings, this drama so enjoyable for me so far. I love how the 4 leads potray their roles. I'm just a little bit disappointed coz Kim Min Jong has no long scene in each episodes..

Rookie investigator DY I can't believe she wrote a tail azz report on her co-workers she don't know that is a fine way to be stuck out on your on and become a sore thumb to the team but she fussing about him putting a innocent person in danger but what about her pointing that gun like that with a train full of passengers she not that good regardless to how good she was in the academy one bump and the gun could go off and hit anybody..

Just finish checking out ep 8 DY is so obsess with catching a serial killer she would rather get hit by the killers car standing there stuck like a deer in the headlights when she should react she don;t and when she do it's not needed.. SMH

I think Mrs Cop should report to some of those Missing girls parents or broadcast it on the news about the drug dealing kidnapping, pimp about the chairman car being in the area and saw the killer face and the only way he will give it up is to get his murdering son out of jail ..

Well let's see how things turn out but this drama keeps getting more interesting..

This weeks episodes was a vast improvement but that rookie girl cop still annoys me. I find it interesting that not only are the police after the bad guys but the bad guys have other bad guys after them.I also found it interesting that they found the body of the girl the serial killer killed but not the one the chairman's secretary killed. especially since the cop's was following the man that ended up dead.

I thought the scene were the two mothers were begging Mrs.cop to find their daughters after the news broke about the serial killer a bit strange, because if it was that easy to find runaway's they wouldn't be missing in the first place.

@doctster6: I live in Chicago and they made the sell of spray pain illegal several years ago so when I need spray paint I have to either go to the suburbs or buy it online.

@ibelis,  I think the president will use the serial killer to kidnap the sister he want touch her daughter she is no fun for him when they was leaving he friends home I got the vibe that someone was watching them..

I think the scene of about the serial killers and they mothers is a set up they never announce the killer the head police man revealed this information and sending those ladies there like that was also apart of the plan to torture team leader plus how did they know she was a mother unless somebody told them to appeal to the mother inside her..

I just caught up to ep 7 and 8 and I thought the thread would be full of comments but it feels cozy in here.

There have been comments about how the episodes are so disjointed, there is always a new character introduced and no followup, I was also disgruntled cuz I felt the same way up until ep 5 and 6.  thats when I realized that as this drama goes along the last episodes will be an epic culmination of all their investigations and hard work.

For example, I cant wait to find out who jailbird ahjussi/hyungnim really is?  Why did his daughter die?  Why was he watching the president and why is he now working at the president's company as a janitor?  What is driving him? Who is that man he beat up and is keeping hostage to torture? (Truthfully I cant get over him right now cuz he's acting as a fool ahjussi in AAMM)

Namja Newbie/JW how does he recognize the president's secretary?

Doesn't president's secretary have some mad skills though, he killed a man with a towel? While I'm at it who is it that he killed?

Ep 8 was great.  Why because our team leader is great.  She is almost the epitome of a modern woman.  Working to feed and support a family that she barely sees or spends time with but dedicated to her job because not only is her job a means to eat to live but doing it well has an overall worth in society that makes it better for her family.  Not only her dedication to her job makes her great but dang she is smart as a whip.  She does not run ahead like Chief Yeom (who would have gotten that girl killed) but decidedly takes action.  She is a bada$%.  Also there is a vulnerability about her and loneliness thats makes her character human and real.

Speaking of, who else notices her vulnerability? Her sexy boss dooeess.  AHHHH I screamed when he almost touched her as she is agonizing over finding those girls.  But my superhero mrs cop although smart is dumb cuz she totally missed sexy boss basically telling her to lean on him.  ARGH!

Oh and newbie yeoja cop/DHYgrew up a little in this weeks episodes, but just a little.  She's learning so I can't harrass her character too much.

Finally not to be missed my kwangie did what he loves to do and his shirt was off this episode showing dem guns while rubbing down the victim.  Kwangie's body fighting! :) (I'm a perv huh?)

Agoo Agoo Agoo @b2stsb2uty,  You also feeding on the same questions that's been going through my mind, I'm wondering did the man jailbird ajjussi daughters death and did the one he have tied up have some kind of connection to it the jailbird carried some weight and power did he stab him in the back thinking he would be able to step in his shoes in one sense jailbird saving his life getting to him before they do because the other party sure as hell will kill him just to keep him quiet.. So I'm also intrigue by how they will tie all this together and at what point will the chairman bring the serial killer in to also do his dirty work but the serial killer got one better on him and that's the list of all those people that also involved in drug deals and selling lil girls and murder.. I'm starting to get a little annoyed with DY myself I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt but she just go overboard with this by the book crap.. How can she not see as being a cop it's best to get to them young less problems when they older, To me she don't care of the person killed or not as long as all the sign point to that person lock them up and were  is my merit badge or my reward SMH

Also I thought the little girl problem was some boy she has a crush on

Me: IKR, how could she as a woman stand to see that woman being boxed and thrown all over the street and not do anything?  Then she has to nerve to look in crowd that is just as passive as she is and shouts someone call 119.  Isn't she 119.  And then she has the heart to get pissed off at JW.  Oh his life is not gonna be easy if they get together.  I did love her sister romance with the teen victim

Also I thought the little girl problem was some boy she has a crush on

Me:  You called it cuz I thought she was just being a bully to get her mom's attention.

Need to put more substance to their investigations; first, they let the owner of the phone 'supposedly stolen' by the runaway girl in episode 7 go.   The CCTV showed the guy purposely made the phone a bait because he was looking for a girl to kidnap; the cops didn't look well into that.  Second, they were wondering why and how President Kang was in that industrial area in episode 8 - what happened to the investigation on the missing Chairman Kim?  Did they fail to make a connection with the other department (narcotics)?

Just like the others, the rookie lady cop annoys me to death.  How come she is not being reprimanded with her actions towards her senior Han?  Isn't throwing water on the face (especially of a cop) a sign of assault too?  She's a cop - she should know that.
