Descendants of the Sun is ONE BIG WONDERFUL DRAMA and its THE BEST I'VE WATCHED since 14 years ago when I started on K-dramas. The warm satisfied feeling will always always stay in my heart  This is indeed a drama that's so EPICLY IN FULL CIRCLE. Even the little details are taken care of. And THE ENDING.....THE ENDING IS JUST DAE.TO.THE.BAK!! If only I could shoot HEARTS to the entire cast, especially the Song-Song Couple, production team and writers, I'll do it a million gazillion times.....

Actually, I started today with a very reluctant feeling for DotS' end, despite wanting very much wanna know the ending. Pre-withdrawals hit me really bad ........and now it would be on to the real withdrawals ......but THE ENDING, THE GREAT AWESOME ENDING, DID GOOD. I can begin rewatching again and again and KNOW that no matter how many times I rewatch, I'll always get SATISFACTION and WARMTH IN A BIG NICELY TIED BOW   

And while the drama proper has ended, I know I'll still be fervently visiting this forum to read all of your awesommmeeee posts and get updated on the latest happenings relating to DotS. Here's to an even livelier forum going forth! Weehoooo~~~~

I do honestly feel that this drama has now set a new standard for the Korean drama industry. There will be a pre-DotS and a post-DotS that's for sure. Not to mention that it's PROVED so much that you can have a strong female lead that can show strength without having to be any less of a woman. And that a man can show weakness and still be as manly as a bear.

And NO silly triangles, no misunderstandings that take centuries to get cleared out and more importantly, the one parental unit that tried to get in the way, even if I personally feared the worse, turned out to be an actually worried and caring father.

So, seriously kudos to this drama. Its greatness resides on the fact that was so incredibly fresh that I can easily forget about the less than perfect medical practices and the fact that Captain (Now Major) Korea seemed to be made of the best steel the Korean industry can produce. Who cares about that when you have such a good story going on that not only manages to entertain you but also reminds you of the value of the little things you do everyday to make your country, and by extension, the world, a better place.

I agree!! I am still over the sun moon right now and I just couldn't sleep! I have also temporarily forgotten that it's the end of DotS already!  Thank you so much KES for giving us this! I sincerely appreciate it. Sincerely. Apparently you did listen to your avid fans and viewers requests. This episode is really filled with adorable, lovey-dovey scenes! Such a nice ending for a finale.

I also still cannot move on from that beach kiss. Seriously that was over the top romantic. SO romantic. SO tender. SO loving. SO passionate. I think I am madly in love with SJK the great kisser now LOL. With that left hand grabbing her back like that, again, if I were SHK I would have shamelessly fainted.

The final scene.. HAHAHA the writers were totally trolling the viewers by mocking themselves and just how crazy of a ride this drama has been. I'm pretty certain this was the ending JG was referring to. At first I was.. huh? But then, in retrospect, it was so great and funny. Basically, it was kind of just telling the viewers: We know it's been crazy. Lot's of genres in one show. We hope you didn't take everything so seriously and just had some fun along the way. And the Armageddon walk at the end HAHA. You win writers. 

There were some questionable moments with the finale (as with any show), like Red Velvet or how quickly they explained the capture and release (though I did appreciate the return of the N. Korean Lt.), and how YSJ stayed in the army (I get it, it's consistent to his character, and man this guy is persistent to almost a fault about his morals! But I also respect it in the end. Which I'm sure KMY does too because it's part of who he is and what she probably loves about him. But dude, it will still be so tough on her guys. I feel a bit sad for her character in that sense but I can also see how she would still accept this about him and still love him). But yeah, overall a very fluffy and satisfying ending  not too many complaints from me.

I had been always wondering about the title of the show and why it was called DOTS, so I was happy with the way they tied it into the oaths and dedications of both soldiers and doctors basically being all descendants of the sun, working hard everyday to maintain peace and help humanity. 

AND I especially loved the kiss scene. They were really holding out on us until the last minute yeah? LOL. I mean, yes, it was a great kiss scene, but more than that I loved the dialogue that lead up to the kiss.

With the shooting star and the jokes about how YSJ must have saved the country in another lifetime which is how he was lucky enough to deserve a girl like KMY in this lifetime.. but OH WAIT! He's saving the country in this lifetime! So they must be meant to meet in the next lifetime as well. KMY telling him he must find her then. It was said all in a very light manner, but in terms of kdrama-verse, this is SO SWEET. Because the writers are basically telling us, they are fated lovers, in this lifetime and the next. They are really meant to be. And that they really WILL make it in the end despite everything. Because who knows what will happen in this lifetime, right? So yes, I was like yelling at them to kiss, kiss, KISS and so was happy when they did. But more importantly, the whole scene  just really got me in the feels and overshadowed any other questions. A really great moment and a great way to end the series.

The conversation is so meaningful. It refers to the wine kiss and their conversation on the stairs back in Uruk, when SJ kept asking MY to show him her cuteness.

Is anyone else bothered by how much anti-american sentiment there is in this drama? Like I can kinda understand but it feels like the writer is trying to prove South Korea's superiority (but there's no need to make America as the antagonist for every situation: i.e the CIA, Argus, reporters, etc.) but it's kinda overboard/distracting...

 Which I think might be another reason this drama is popular cause it stirs nationalistic sentiment.

The last episode was the most funniest episode of the entire drama, even without English subs I could still understand what they were saying. I'm pretty sure the rating will excess 40.1%.  This is definitely the best action K-drama of all time.  Thanks to everyone who posted their screenshots and videos!
