i really love the scene in the 1st episode where in empress ki got sad and shed a tear when she saw king kang woo from afar during when she was introduced as empress ki by the emperor.. :x that scene is daebak! :-bd 8-> my heart broke for king kang woo in that scene.. =(( how sad that he didn't get the get the girl he likes.. =((

:-B I SWORE up and down I would not touch a 50-60 episode drama.....and then I made the biggest MISTAKE and that I watched eps 1-2 solely because I am a Ha Ji Won fan. I like her movies, her dramas and just the way she carries herself...there is an air about her that radiates total confidence. I knew very little about this drama, and as I watched the first two episodes I realized that it had a VERY STONG supporting cast...Leads: Joo Jin Mo whose last drama Dream, 4 yrs ago, was totally Forgettable and Ji Chang Wook whose portrayals are always believable but nothing 'to call home about' (keke)....if the future, Empress Ki (Ha Ji Won) didn't fall in love with these two in the first two eps...I'm sure the fans did. Add to the list of solid actors ...Choi Moo Seong my favorite undercover cop gone-bad in Cruel City (the guy can ACT!!!!), Jin I Han, Kim Yeong Ho, Lee Won Jong and quite a few other actors I know more by face rather than name. Will I continue to watch... :-/ yes, so long as it stays interesting....there is bound to be some lows; but, so long as there are more peaks than lows...Empress Ki just might end the streak of 50-60 eps long-dramas that end up being just ridiculous and totally not worth watching.

In the novel does empress Ki bear Wang Yoo'child? I think she has a son with emperor, and later this son becomes king, right?

sadly i have to wait for hulu plus to air this week's episodes. i am working on how i can actually record it to my dvd recorder so i can bring it with me to watch on my lunch at work. if i do gosh...i am madly screen capping all scenes emperor related. and here i am telling myself no more saeguks after WBDS.....

Why is this happen? In my opinion, this episode is so interesting even more than Ep 1 &2 on last week.

"Empress Qi" stays in first place

MBC drama "Empress Qi" remained in first place despite the drop.

According to Nielsen Korea, the third episode of the MBC drama rated 12.8%. KBS 1TV "Gayo Stage" rated 10.5%, SBS "Suspicious Housekeeper" rated 9.3% and KBS 2TV "Marry Him If You Dare" rated 6.5%.

Previously, this drama rated 11.1% and started off at the top of the list. Then it jumped up to 13.6% despite the hesitation this time.

"Empress Qi" is a historical drama about the love and war of a woman who controlled the Yuan Dynasty.

AGB Nielsen:  Nationwide 12.8% (6th; -.8%) / Seoul 14.5% (5th; -1.3%) WUT?!?!?

TNmS:  Nationwide 11.7% (11th; -.3%) / Seoul 14.9% (4th; +.3%)

Week Ending 3 November 2013:  12.4% average / 18th place overall (Episodes 1 and 2)

I'm not worried about the slight dip in ratings (especially with special programming put on by KBS2 last night), so....

Still Yet Again Number One in its time slot!!!   Ta Hwan most certainly approves! :X

Okay, I have watched the three episodes and Imust say, I like this drama.  I have always liked HJW and JCW.  But why can't I find a decent site to watch it on?  All the sites I have watched this drama on it rebuffers or just plain stall. It's making my head hurt.  So I will continue to look for a decent site. Wish me luck!

By the way, I'm on the Nyang & Huizong ship.
