An ode to Faith by Guest Beanie

Listen my Beanies and you shall hear
of a widely panned drama that I hold very dear
In 2012, I tried a new genre
of serial programs called Korean drama
My first one was Faith and I have to admit
that it began my addiction—it thrilled me to bits
I was quickly sucked into this fantasy story
of loyalty, love, and violent glory
I would watch Faith for hours and hours
Just to see all the villains with their magical powers

 

I wanted to hang out with Court Lady Choi
And who can’t help but love every Woodalchi boy?
Lee Min-ho as the General captured my heart
He was my kind of hero—kind, courageous and smart
Best of all was Eun-soo, as tough as one gets
She was clever and brave as she faced all the threats
She kept General Choi Young on the tips of his toes
and… honestly? Led him around by his nose
You may laugh, but I loved the king and the queen
And when she miscarried, I actually cried at that scene

 

I liked all of the intrigue, the politics, the war
(because for me, light romances are a bit of a bore)
So I say to my friends, I don’t care that they think
that the directing was clumsy, the villains absurd
I liked that Oh-sung played Ki Chul with a wink
and I liked Sung Hoon, though he said barely a word
And though I agree that the directing was blah
still the drama did touch me and isn’t that all
that each of us ultimately, eagerly looks for?
So keep the faith all you Beanies, forevermore

I went to the COEX today.  I showed my friend where he shattered the glass... and saw the big Budda.  It was so cool!  She wants to rewatch the drama again;  YAY!!!

It’s a funny story how I got introduced to the Korean Dramas . I live in the States,but watched my first Korean Drama on Polish Tv,(guess my nashionlity-ha ha).It was Empress Qi,it was 2015. I really got hooked .Really liked Joo Jin Mo character Wang Yoo (fictional Korean prince).Started  checking every where about Korean Drama s and then I saw Faith poster,got intrigued and that was it,watched the drama like 10 times.Historycal drama w/modern medical elements,Looked for any information about it everywhere.Akcually from  Soompi forum I got tons of information and explanation,so when I watched later I got better understanding of this drama and I appreciated it more .Really loved it and still loving. The Best Drama Ever!The other thing,the girls who recapped the drama where very funny so the reading was very entertaining . Sorry for that long post.

@misiulmh:  I'm in the States also.  Faith was my first K-drama and LMH drama.  My aunt in Hawaii sent it to my mom who didn't know how to use the DVD player so I was forced to watch.  I'll admit I did not have a favorable opinion initially, but I got hooked on LMH and never looked back lol.  We're rewatching Faith now on the LMH thread, not quite the same way as this thread, but something to pass the time until LMh returns from MS.  If you're interested, please join us.  It is an interesting rewatch because one person has not seen Faith, the rest of us have.

My plan was to join the rewatching Faith on LMH tread but my real life got very complicated right now.Maybe I will join later .Nevertheless I just want to say Thank you guys for keeping this tread alive and still posting beautiful pictures and gifs. I am new so I don’t know how to post anything,ha ha ha .
