[Looking back at a masterpiece from 10 years ago] Lee Min Ho delivered a bold performance in 'Faith'!

Lately, Lee Min Ho has shown off hard acting with hard work, but it was 2012's "Faith" that set him apart as a complete actor. ..

[Photo] 'Faith-Nobuyoshi' historical drama in which Lee Min Ho and Kim Hee Sun's co-starring became a hot topic [Masterpiece Theatre]

At that time there were many dramas that slipped in time between the present and the past, but among them "Faith" had an exceptionally large scope.

The story began in 1351 during the Goryeo era. Lee Min Ho played the samurai Choi Yong, who values faith. He firmly accompanied the young king, but was attacked by a thug. Choi Yoon defended himself fiercely, but the queen was seriously injured in the commotion.

"Your life is dangerous!"

In such a tense situation, only a special "faith" could save the queen's life. In desperation, Choi Young went to the mysterious heavens in search of a "divine doctor" and eventually found a "divine doctor" in Seoul in 2012. It was Yoo Eun Soo, an orthopedic surgeon, dressed as Kim Hee Sung.

Belief-burning Choi Young takes Yoo Eun-soo back 660 years to save the queen's life. Thus, the ferocious fate of men and women, transcending time and space, begins to move rapidly....

A masterpiece that went down in history

Throughout this drama, Lee Min Ho's determined samurai figure has been impressive. His dignified expression shone with the complexity of the scene.

It was so cool that I really fell in love with it.

In real life, Lee Min Ho was 10 years younger than Kim Hee Sun. Lee Min Ho would be disappointed because the Korean entertainment world has a strict hierarchical relationship, but he was proudly dressed as a loyal samurai and played out a great love story that transcends time and space.

However, Korean historical dramas are overwhelmingly dynastic court dramas, and there are surprisingly few dramas in which strong samurai play an active role. Among them, Choi Young's samurai appearance, which Lee Min Ho showed off in 'Faith', was a truly reliable and memorable character. In the sense that such a hero was beautiful, Faith is a masterpiece that has remained in the history of historical drama.

August 28, 2022

No one hates action movies, and in the drama world, this genre guarantees the same "bread with spectacles."  Action dramas give you an adrenaline rush and keep you hooked until the very end of the season.  And the action in them is active and developing quickly.  Especially for you, I have collected 15 dramas that are good not only for action, but also for handsome guys in the main (and not only) roles.

Faith (2012)

25f3a1e66b21aeecb2d802efb8885e34.webp

Duration: 24 episodes of 60 minutes.

Cast: Yoo Oh Sung, Kim Hee Sun, Lee Min Ho, Oh Kwang Rok, Song Min Hyun, Im Hwa Young, Jung Yoo Chan, and more.

Another cool mix of fantasy, romance and action.  Lee Min Ho plays a king guard warrior from the past who enters the future in this drama.  His task is to find a doctor who could save the queen, who suffered after the assassination attempt, from death.  And he finds her, only now the girl is a little shocked by the fact that the warrior asks her and where he comes from.

I can so relate to wanting to see Faith again for the first time! This was the second K-drama I ever watched (the first was Jumong). I was just stunned with the visual beauty combined with manliness and sincerity of Lee Min Ho! His acting was especially striking in some of the later scenes, like this one where he's fighting off soldiers to save the King in episode 23, and later when he rescues Eun soo and asks her to be with him. Just so tough, courageous and touching.
