Nice Guy Gets its Love Triangle as Park Shi Yeon Joins the Drama

nnnnnice.jpg

After being rumored to join the cast for the past few weeks, today Park Shi Yeon‘s agency announced that she has agreed to star in the drama Nice Guy with Song Joong Ki and Moon Chae Won.

It’s pretty much a love triangle between Joong Ki and his two leading ladies, so let’s not pretend we even care who the other male lead will be.

Park Shi Yeon plays the woman who betrays Song Joong Ki, turning the formerly nice guy into a not-so-nice-guy hell bent on revenge. I hope the betrayal is a real eye opener, because seeking revenge for a broken heart is pretty heavy stuff.

I’m quite pleased with the talented cast assembled, as I already adore Song Joong Ki and am very fond of Moon Chae Won, and Park Shi Yeon has continued to impress me in recent years with her acting improvement, especially her comedic and captivating turn in Coffee House.

When talking about his guesting in the popular variety show, “Running Man,” he said thatKim Jong Kook is the best runner, and if he were to participate again, he will catch Lee Kwang Soo. Song Joong Ki is thankful to the fans for their continuous support to the popular variety show.

During his last trip here, he was given some “bak kwa” (barbecued pork) to try. He said in English that “Bak kwa was very delicious,” and he really likes it.

On May 27 at the Singapore Shine Auditorium, the evening started with Song Joong Ki singing a ballad for his fans. He then sat down to have a chat with the host, Ah Dong. He appeared shy and embarrassed when asked about his dramas, but tried his best to reveal his thoughts to the fans.

To the fans’ delight, Song Joong Ki went down the stage to handpick five lucky fans to go on the stage for a game with him. The fan who was able to best portray a scene from his drama won a chance to take a polaroid with him. Seeing the disappointed faces on the remaining fans, the kindhearted star decided to take a polaroid with all four of them together.

The laughter-filled game was followed by a video of his childhood and a compilation of his works. The clip highlighted his roles in “Frozen Flower,” “Triple,” “Obstetrics and Gynecology Doctors,” “Hearty Paws 2” and others.

He also told fans that he used to be a naughty child who broke many windows, and he wanted to be an artist during his university days. Fans got to know that in Running Man, Lee Kwang Soo was his closest friend. A video from “Running Man” showed encouraging messages from the “Running Man” cast.

After a short break, Song Joong Ki came back with the song “I Believe.” A Q&A followed, plus another game time. Again, he went down the stage to handpick ten lucky fans to take part in an eating game where two winners, after finishing a bun and a sweet hidden in a plate of flour, had a chance to blow and burst a balloon while hugging Song Joong Ki.

After round one, he felt bad for the fans for having to finish up a whole bun, and he thoughtfully requested that the participants from round two only needed to take a bite. Unfortunately, players from round one protested and felt that it wasn’t fair. The game continued exactly the same as in round one.

Song Joong Ki delighted the winners with a gift that he personally purchased when he went jogging the previous night. A final song was performed, and the wonderful evening with Song Joong Ki ended on a high note when he gave high-five to all the fans.

Three songs, two games, fun chats and lots of laughters with the boyish star sent fans home happily, looking forward to another meeting with the friendly and thoughtful Song Jong Ki. It was indeed a “Thrill and Loved” night for the fans of Song Joong Ki!

if Song Joong Ki is my favorite actor, Lee Min Jung is my fav actress ... so when I found this article of my goddess talking about my hubby,, I almost fell of my chair because of my exciment !!!!!  Min Jung and Joong Ki? ♥
Reposted from Just Min Jung (LMJ Intl Fans)
Enews STAR : LEE MIN JUNG

What would it be like to drink with ‘Goddess’ Lee Min Jung? Every man who’s seen her soju commercials has probably dreamed of drinking with her one day.
Fortunately, I happened to meet her for an interview over drinks, at the pub night of the film Wonderful Radio, held on December 14 in Seoul. We touched on a lot of issues, and I found she was as attractive off-screen as she was on it.
Lee Min Jung up close
I kept thinking I should be drinking soju with her, because she’s currently modeling for a soju brand. The main drink for that day, however, was makulli. I always thought she would live off morning dew (?), but she drank makulli well. She managed to disarm everyone with her outgoing personality and her cute voice. She was exactly as she was in the SBS drama Smile, Love. I was drinking with the Goddess; what more can I say?
wonderful-radio.jpg
“Song Joong Ki, You~”
Wonderful Radio comes a year since her last big screen venture, Cyrano Agency. She teamed up with Lee Jung Jin, Lee Kwang Soo and Kim Jung Tae, forewarning a big screen takeover to take place in 2012. She’s returning to the big screen for the first time in a year; does she feel pressured?
“I’m very nervous, but it was so much fun to be working with such great people. Beside the film characters, I worked in perfect teamwork with the good boy Lee Jung Jin and bad boy (?) Lee Kwang Soo. I told my friends if the film brings in more than 5 million people I would buy them marbled beef, but if it really does go over that number I want to get them even more.”
Lee Min Jung was very attached to her film, and she felt a great responsibility toward it as its lead actress. The day we met, however, we were having drinks. We talked not only about the film but about personal gossip. We even talked about the much popular Song Joong Gi.
“Joong Gi is my junior in college (Sungkyunkwan University), but I never saw him when I was at school, and I’ve never seen him while I’ve been acting, either. He’s so beloved these days, so I think he’s busy. But still, ‘Joong Gi, you~ Won’t you come visit me someday?’ (Laugh)”
Her name is pronounced ‘Goddess’. That’s what her fans say to each other as a joke. This day also, she was called ‘Goddess’ more than her name. I wondered whether she felt pressured by the Goddess title.
“It’s actually pretty burdening. And I’m not a goddess (Laugh). There are things I can’t do because of the goddess image. I love gopchang (intestines), but I have to eat it in a feminine way because people keep watching me eat. You’re supposed to gnaw on gopchang to really eat it properly. It doesn’t taste as good if you eat it lady-like (Laugh).”
wonderful-radio1.jpg
Lee Min Jung was such an attractive actress and human being that even I became jealous of her qualities. But it′s those exact qualities that shine through the screen, making the actress as beloved as her characters, leaving me to wonder, ′How can you not fall in love with this beautiful actress?’

Park Shi-yeon joins the cast of Nice Guy
ParkShiYeon5.jpg
The upcoming not-a-nice-guy drama Nice Guy starring Song Joong-ki (Tree With Deep Roots) and Moon Chae-won (The Princess’s Man) has confirmed the lead casting and added Park Shi-yeon (Coffee House) to the cast as the woman who betrays the hero and puts him on the path to destructive revenge. Song Joong-ki as a lover scorned, hellbent on revenge? It’s so unexpected that I’m already intrigued.
Nice Guy is a melodrama from writer Lee Kyung-hee of I’m Sorry, I Love You and Will It Snow for Christmas, and will be directed by PD Kim Jin-won, who most recently did the drama special Ordinary Love (he was also an assistant director on Romance Town and other full-length dramas). I thought Ordinary Love looked great, even though the story left a lot to be desired, so I think he’ll do a good job with a moody melodrama.
Park Shi-yeon will play Song Joong-ki’s girlfriend who betrays him to serve her own ambition. And lest you think she’s the bad guy in all this, he decides to get his revenge by using a girl who’s lost her memory (Moon Chae-won) to get back at her. So, it’s a chain of betrayal? Are we going to like ANY of these people? I certainly hope so, because I’m gonna need to root for somebody up in here.
Nice Guy follows Gaksital on Wednesdays/Thursdays and premieres in August on KBS.

Feeling his Thrill and Love at Song Joong Ki Fanmeeting in Singapore

img_0667-630x420.jpg
His 3-day SIngapore visit ended in an exhilarating, 2-hour fanmeet, which was more like a friends’ gathering of how he treated his fans like friends. Actor and MC Song Joong Ki visited SIngapore for his first Asia fanmeet tour ‘Thrill and Love’ and made the sunny island his home for 3 days. His activities included his warm welcome at the airport, the open press conference, a close one where only media and lucky ticket holder fans witness his wit on personal interviews, charity lunch, and finally, his fanmeet where all fans have been waiting for on the 27th May 2012.
Ushering fans to the auditorium, they all patiently waited until host Atong comes out to assure the fans that he is behind there waiting for everyone to call out his name. It was only when the lights start to dim, and the spotlight turned on into one of the entrance on the right where the actor came in a green blazer and grey slacks with proper black shoes, only to serenade into a ballad song which made a surprising entrance.
“Nice to meet you all, hello everyone, my name is Song Joong Ki, pangaseumnida,” he greeted afterwards and sat on the prepared chair of three, with the host and his translator. Nicknamed as “the pretty boy” which the host came around to say it so, they chatted more on things that was previously discussed during the conference and dug deeper into more certain aspects of the drama and movies he portrayed in.
img_0539-630x420.jpg
“Singapore… I remember it being clean and serene. It still is, and this is my third time in Singapore,” Song shared his view on what Singapore is like for him. Despite his sudden jolt of thrill made during his jogging session at Marina Bay Sands, his fans who came on stage to play a round of games and made sudden contact didn’t make him loose his calm and collected composure. With much ease and gentleness, his face shared the same ‘pang of guilt’ like the girl who suddenly hugged him because she came in second place instead of the first (where the prize is photo-taking and getting a hug from Song) and was pulled away by security. He felt sorry that he couldn’t hug each and everyone of his fans who has cherished him very much.

Hilarious games included a race of 3-rounds eating and the need to hug Song with a balloon in order to pop it between and re-enacting a scene from his acting. Song himself got down from the stage and personally chose his fans to play the game, a few being Koreans and one, after the discussion of having the use of insoles inside his shoe, was a fan who wore high platform shoes which currently is in trend. “Oh~ You have high insoles. Congratulations,” he announced, causing laughter, after picking the girl as one of the lucky fans to play onstage.
It was also a proud and eventful day for Korea.com’s own photographer to have won the eating game!

img_0652-630x420.jpg
Later into the session, they played a video in compilation of his childhood Fans had also prepared a special fan video for the actor. That goes as well to his trip down the memory lane as the fans and Song viewed his childhood memory video. “Ah, I was such a naughty boy, very, very, naughty,” he confirms, making the fans laugh. “I broke many windows” due to his notoriety of playing outside of his house, which makes MC Atong commented to all that “everyone should let their sons be naughty because they will grow up to be like Joong Ki.”
Successfully showcasing his well-rounded talents from acting, MC-ing and even singing, as he closed his fanmeet with the famous song “Red Sun” where everyone joined in to sing the chorus, the fanmeet was more than anyone can imagine, with the actor to walk down every aisle where fans were seated at, posed for pictures in front of fans’ camera, shook hands and personally picked the game players from the audience. What’s more, he prepared a limited bunch of roses that was given out to lucky fans that immediately swooned over his gentleman gesture.
His two-hour fanmeet concludes in a handshake or hi-5 session with all present audience at Shine Auditorium. His sincere gesture and amicable persona will make all fall in love with his down-to-earth and approachable quality of being a public figure, making all the fans and new fans alike cannot wait for his future return to the island!
Special thanks to Boom Korea for the access pass for the entire coverage!

Joong Ki is nominated on Mnet's 20 Choice Awards on the category 20's DRAMA STAR ( with Uhm Tae Woong, Lee Seung Gi , Jo Woon and Kim Soo Hyun  ... he's currently on the 3rd position , but he's a bit close to Soo Hyun, so please vote for my hubby! ^^ )

[20′s Choice Star] Song Joong Ki

60883301.jpg
After making a huge splash as the pretty faced scholar in Sungkyunkwan Scandal, Song Joong Ki made sure to leave his mark in pretty much any and every area possible – especially on the small screen, making his nomination for the 20’s Choice Drama award a no-brainer.
While he ended up departing hit variety show Running Man before it hit the height of its popularity, his stint as a regular cast member endeared him to the mainstream, and the young actor was scooping up commercial deals and scripts, left and right.
Though his foray into romantic comedies didn’t turn out so great, critics argued that Song Joong Ki’s performance in the film Love and Cash was the best part of the Han Ye Seul-driven romcom.
And no one could deny his acting skills once the mega-hit historical drama, A Tree With Deep Roots rolled around. As the young King Sejong, Song Joong Ki was unfortunately only in the first few episodes, but his acting struck a chord with so many, that even with Han Seok Gyu’s award-winning performance, few forgot Song Joong Ki was the one to bring King Sejong to life.

Same Aged friends reunion ♥
Lee Kwang Soo joins Nice Guy

leekwangsoo_16.jpg
One more addition to KBS’s Nice Guy comes in the form of Lee Kwang-soo (Bachelor’s Vegetable Store), which means he’ll be reuniting with his old Running Man castmate Song Joong-ki, who plays the (sorta) titular role.
I say sorta since the whole title seems to be riffing on how very un-nice our “hero” is, using one woman (Moon Chae-won) to get back at an old flame (Park Shi-yeon). (Although, I keep reading this drama as Chicken Man, since the Korean title is purposely misspelled and resembles chicken more than nice. Bak-bak-bakaaawk!)
Lee Kwang-soo plays a character from a prominent wealthy family with an outstanding education. In a word, the character is “perfect”… which, if you’ve seen him in, well, anything, is hilarious. I suppose we can say goodbye to his bumbling, hapless City Hunter and Running Man persona, although the role calls for a pure nature that gets him taken advantage of often, which I can immediately picture. It seems he’ll be much more of a true nice guy than the hero. A source with the production explained that upon reading the synopsis, they thought of Lee as the ideal casting for the role and sent it to him without considering other actors.
The drama features one main character who has lost her memory (Moon Chae-won), and we can expect memory to become a recurring motif, as the characters “try to remember the precious values that they have forgotten along the way.” If you’ve seen writer Lee Kyung-hee’s previous dramas I’m Sorry, I Love You, A Love to Kill, or Will It Snow For Christmas, you’ll probably have a good understanding of what kind of “conventional melodrama” Nice Guy will be; Lee has a moody, poignant touch and can write some heart-tugging relationships.
Nice Guy follows Gaksital and premieres in August.
