Rain announces title song 'Why Don't We' featuring a 'top female artist'

 

 

Rain has dropped his title teaser for his comeback.

 

He'll be releasing his mini-album 'PIECES by RAIN' on March 3rd. He's now revealed that the title song will be called "Why Don't We", and that it'll be a duet with a female artist. The female artist in question is featured on his title poster, but she's only visible as a silhouette. 'PIECES by RAIN' will include 5 different songs including title song "Why Don't We".

Rain to release new EP

Rain will be making a comeback as a soloist, releasing a brand new EP.

 

“Pieces by Rain” is Rain’s first EP in three years and will drop on March 3. Rain’s management explained that the title of the album refers to the different pieces that make up the singer.

Rain invites Chungha to collaborate on the new mini album

 

 

 

 

On February 19th Rain Company released a series of Rain’s latest teaser pictorials announcing that the two will collaborate for the first time on his latest mini album titled "Why Don’t We".

 

 

 

 

Rain recently collaborated with Park Jinyoung and vocalist Sumi Jo. On January, he asked netizens to recommend someone for his next partner, and designated "must be a singer." Lee Hyori, BoA, Hyuna, TWICE's Momo, BLACKPINK's Lisa, and Chungha, etc., were all on the recommended list of netizens at the time.

Rain is expected to star in the new play "Ghost Doctor" in the second half of the year!

 

 

 

Rain might come back in the small screen after a year and a half!

 

On February 5, a spokesperson from Rain’s Company revealed: "Rain is currently actively considering starring in "Ghost Doctor."

 

"Ghost Doctor" is said to be a mix of medical drama and supernatural elements. It will be directed by Boo Sung Chul, who also worked on popular dramas such as The Inheritors and Jang Ok Jung, and written by Live Up To Your Name’s Kim Eun-hee. It is expected to be broadcast in the second half of 2021.

 

If Rain accepts the role, this will mark his return to dramas, which has been a year and a half after MBC's "Welcome 2 Life" in 2019.

《Ghost Doctor》是一部將醫學領域與鬼魂題材融合在一起的作品，將由《繼承者們》、《張玉貞，為愛而生》的導演富聖哲執導，《名不虛傳》編劇金恩喜執筆。預計2021年下半年播出。

 

如果 Rain 接受角色邀約，這也會是他自2019年 MBC《Welcome 2 Life》後，睽違一年半的戲劇作品。

The Hallyu King Rain (Jung Ji-hoon), who created another career peak last year will have his first surprise at the beginning of 2021. 去年再創事業高峰的韓流天王Rain（鄭智薰），2021年初的第一個驚喜，就是與恩師朴軫永（JYP）以雙人組合形式推出單曲〈Switch to me〉，他透露師徒睽違13年聯手，全歸功於粉絲敲碗，加上朴軫永起初為他量身打造的獨唱曲，彼此都不太滿意，但當Rain聽到朴軫永原定秋天推出的Solo作品，立刻認定：「就是它！」意外促成師徒倆共組「JYB（B跟韓文的雨發音相似）」合唱。

2002年Rain以JYP旗下藝人出道，憑藉《It'sRaining》、《Rain's World》等專輯揚名全亞洲，雖然他早在2007年離開自立門戶，但仍是外界心中奠定JYP娛樂在韓國演藝圈地位的一大功臣，RAIN本人也認為：「如果我沒成功，公司就不可能存在了！」但朴軫永卻在節目吐槽，現在的JYP是他東山再起後的成果，「如果在進軍美國時沒把錢敗光的話，那現在公司的基礎都是Rain建立的沒錯！」

 

Rain透露，當初一聽到〈Switch to me〉就非常滿意，這首歌也是他時隔多年有信心稱霸舞台的單曲，沒想到朴軫永竟以「沒信心寫出更好的歌」為由要求對唱，從MV到打歌舞台，甚至上綜藝節目宣傳都有對方的身影。

 

Rain的舞蹈實力有目共睹，師徒倆難得合作，他透露在準備過程中，朴軫永經常對舞蹈動作指手畫腳，今天建議伸展手臂，沒多久又反悔要求收手臂，私下還只練習三次，讓他委屈直呼：「如果不要指責我練舞就好了！」不過，朴軫永強調是編舞過於粗糙，大嘆：「Rain至今還是需要我撈叨，在跳舞方面還是有些缺點！」

 

Rain則反嗆朴軫永是老古董，「現在JYP是因為哥不提意見才能紅！」

 

Rain更加碼指控，朴軫永現在不僅幫旗下女團Wonder Girls和Twice過生日，還大方送禮物，但他卻沒這個福利，更形容自己的練習生時期就跟從軍沒兩樣。他透露某次生日跟其他練習生到炸雞店，還沒進食就被朴軫永抓包，在路邊教訓足足一小時。朴軫永急忙解釋：「因為我覺得他很有天賦，擔心他很有可能會自負才這樣！」

 

雖然師徒倆在螢光幕前相愛相殺，但Rain不諱言表示，遇見朴軫永是他「人生第一個機會」。23年前他因家境困苦，繳不出病母的醫藥費，加上醫療罷工，需要成年保證人才能住院，他四處求助無門，最後只好打給朴軫永求助，「哥，救救我吧！」對方二話不說立刻取消所有年末工作，陪他送媽媽入院治療，「所以我媽媽才能再多活2至3周。」這份恩情讓Rain銘記至今，他感性地說：「好幾次我向他致謝，感謝他讓我能生存下來、有能力謀生。」

Rain reportedly in talks to star in new drama, ‘Ghost Doctor’

K-pop veteran Rain could potentially make his return to the small screen soon.

 

According to a new report from Newsen, the singer is currently in talks to appear in the upcoming television drama, Ghost Doctor. Rain is apparently considering the offer with a “favorable outlook”, said a spokesperson form his agency.

 

Ghost Doctor will be directed by Boo Sung Chul, who also worked on popular dramas such as The Inheritors and Jang Ok Jung, Lives in Love. The series is said to be a mix of medical drama and supernatural elements.

 

If Rain accepts the role, it will be his first drama appearance since 2019’s Welcome 2 Life. Ghost Doctor is slated for broadcast in the second half of 2021.

 

Rain, real name Jung Ji-hoon, is also known for his role in the Hollywood movies Speed Racer and Ninja Assassin. The singer also made his Chinese film debut in 2014 with For Love Or Money alongside Liu Yifei.

 

It was also recently announced that the K-pop veteran will be collaborating with South Korean soprano Jo Su-mi on a new track that will be the theme song for newly released fan community app, UNIVERSE.
