This is getting very interesting. Seemingly, the late king's last order was to the brother of our heroine the Knight Flower, Yeo Hwa, who disappeared and no one knows if he died, hurt or in hiding somewhere. It seems he was given charge of a valuable jade object to safeguard which may have a great significance or symbolism to the kingdom. That jade object maybe something that the Chief Minister the FIL of Yeo Hwa also covets and is looking for. Therefore the Minister took Yeo Hwa as hostage widow DIl as a threat to her "missing'" brother. The question is, is the son of the Minister really dead? Was there a body, funeral rites done for the "dead" son? Is the Minister's wife who keeps her daughter in law hostage/slave also aware if her son is really dead?

So, Yeo Hwa finally reveals her identity to Soo Ho. We are slowly forming a team here the Yeo Hwa, Soo Ho, Yeon Son and big brother Yoon Hak who will be working for the King and a strong supporter in Merchant Jang So Woon.

About Soo Ho and Yoon Hak are "brothers" from what was inferred, that many suspect that Soo Ho was a son of the Grand Chancellor the father of Yoon Hak with a concubine, however the Left Minister the FIL OF Yeo Hwa does not think that the father of Yoon Hak would have a son with a concubine because Yoon Hak's father is too "proper" therefore he ordered his thug to get some info about Soo Ho. So who really is Soo Ho and why is Yoon Hak and the King hiding his true identity???

When the new chaarcter came in the picture I thought of the `dead` husband of Yeo Hwa. Now I wonder why he disappeared. I don`t think he had or will have a good relationship with his father. I am sorry for his mother who thinks he is dead.

The MBC historical drama Knight Flower scored ratings of 13.1% (nationwide) and 12.7% (metropolitan) for episode 7, remaining the most-watched in its time slot.

Seeing how the K-drama started its second half with strong ratings, it will, most likely, maintain the streak of double-digit viewership until the finale.

Okay, I picked up this drama again in ep 7 after having forgotten all about it after ep 2. :emmm:

I have to say that the budding romance between our leads is pretty cute. I can't wait for him to "bossam" (steal/kidnap) her. He will have to get a big blanket because she's pretty tall. hehe

Hoping for a happy ending and that she finally gets to live her life to the fullest together with a husband.

YES me too! The chemistry between them is AMAZING :transforms:. Although I'm terribly sad that there's only 4 more episode left!!! (Only 12 episodes in total or am i wrong??) but the pace and plot of the drama is very smooth and captivating! Now we know what sort of happen to YH brother...likely "dead" and with the dead husband back, i wonder how the remaining 4 episode will work out. How will YH deal with her Father in Law....and will there be a big fight between KPJ and YH? Will she avenge her brother...arughh cant wait for friday

Hehehe, the epilogues are so sweet, they are of Officer Park & YH sweet moments...really love it...:please:

Please, please drama have a wise mystic ancient oriental healer, incidentally appear to save the brother.

The jade object is a Royal Seal. Maybe someone who reads Korean can interpret what was written in that jade object?

So if bad man killed the brother, why would he still keep the sister? Now the sister is in danger of being killed by the minister, he does not need her anymore. When Yeo Hwa "innocently" asked the bad FIL about her brother, did she already suspect that her brother might be dead? I don't think she believes the FIL that her bro was a mere "royal guard".

Now, the two rapacious mercenaries, the wife of the dead abusive finance Minister and the villain Minister are at each other's throat. I hope the bad woman will beat the bad man this time

Knight Flower: Episodes 7-8

by Unit

KF8-00007.jpg

Trouble brews in the enemy camp, and as a result, our moonlighting heroine comes a step closer to learning the truth about her brother. Our amnesiac hero is not far behind with respect to his family’s massacre, and a new face pops into town to shake up everything we thought we knew about what happened 15 years ago.

EPISODES 7-8

We resume with Yeo-hwa unmasking herself in front of Soo-ho and telling him that she’s Lord Seok’s daughter-in-law. As a widow, Yeo-hwa says she is bound by societal restrictions and expectations to follow her husband to the afterlife. But rather than waiting to die, she implores Soo-ho to give her a chance to live via carrying on with her moonlighting operations.

Soo-ho agrees to keep her secret on the condition that she no longer engages in dangerous activities. One wrong move on her part, and all bets are off. Okay, put on a mask and follow her around. Is that so hard? Lol. I mean, he’ll definitely need that mask because Yeo-hwa soon bites into her next case: why did Lady Oh lie that Lady Baek’s ring was her husband’s?

Speaking of Minister Yeom’s death, Pil-jik informs Lord Seok that Soo-ho is digging into the case, and Lord Seok instructs him to look into Soo-ho’s adoption into the Park family. In the meantime, Lord Seok orders Lady Oh to live in seclusion at a temple, but she refuses to quietly go off into the night after helping him amass all the power he currently wields. Trouble in the enemy camp? I’m here for it!

Knight Flower: Episodes 7-8

Yoon-hak reports his findings about Lord Seok’s daughter-in-law being Sung-hoo’s sister to the king, and the king is convinced that it is not a coincidence. Yoon-hak deduces that Lord Seok probably used the marriage as a means to hold Yeo-hwa hostage just in case the late king gave Sung-hoo his jade tablet and his last royal edict. The king suspects that’s probably why Sung-hoo hasn’t come out of hiding if he’s still alive, and he instructs Yoon-hak to find out if Yeo-hwa knows anything about it.

Lord Seok invites Yoon-hak for drinks in his house, and Yoon-hak is uncomfortable because Soo-ho was also invited. But guess who is more uncomfortable when they arrive? It’s a shocked Yeo-hwa who wonders why Soo-ho is in her house. Don’t worry, sis, today is not about you. Lord Seok tells Yoon-hak that he will keep a close eye on Soo-ho, and they both know those are not harmless words. Curiously enough, one of the Seok household servant’s gaze lingers on the Park brothers. Hmmm.

On a lighter note, Yoon-hak runs into Yeon-seon again, and she’s curious to know if Soo-ho accompanied him to the house (for Yeo-hwa’s sake, of course). A slightly jealous Yoon-hak misinterprets her questions to mean that she’s interested in Soo-ho. And when he asks her about Yeo-hwa (as per investigation into her brother), Yeon-seon misinterprets it as Yoon-hak’s interest in her mistress. Lol.

The king covertly summons Soo-ho to ask about Minister Yeom’s poisoning, and Soo-ho shares his suspicion that Lady Oh is behind it. The king reveals that the late king’s death, Soo-ho’s family’s massacre, and Lord Yeom’s death are related. He warns that if Soo-ho keeps on investigating Yeom’s case, he would be in danger. But Soo-ho insists on forging ahead for the sake of justice. If this is the king’s test, Soo-ho passes in flying colors, and the king invites him to join them in their ongoing investigation.

The king confirms from an eunuch who worked in the palace 15 years ago that Lady Oh personally served the late king tea that fateful night. And while the king and Yoon-hak can tell that Lord Seok was the mastermind, they need evidence to prove it — evidence that is within reach now that the poisonous petals have resurfaced. Soo-ho is tasked to keep an eye on Lady Oh, and he asks So-woon for information on Oh.

In exchange for a yet to be discussed request, So-woon discloses the half-sibling relationship between Lady Oh and Pil-jik. She mentions that Pil-jik became the head of a merchant guild around the same time Minister Yeom became the Minister of Finance, and that the family’s rise to power happened so fast. Hmmm. That was most likely compensation for Oh’s role in the late king’s death. Soo-ho thanks So-woon for the information, and insists that Yeo-hwa be kept in the dark because the investigation is dangerous. Awwwn. Showing concern for your beloved, I see.

Loving this drama, and episode 9 was probably the best yet.

From Secretary Yoon Hak figuring out the backstory of Officer Park and the missing fan, to Seok Jeong's arc with our leads and the supporting characters at the Inn ... you just know he's going to have fun teasing our leads when he finds out one is his "wife"

getting better and better!! So, Soo Hoo is the son of the assassinated Chief of the Royal Guards of the late king but is living as the son of Chancellor, the father of Yoon Hak. Yeo Hwa's brother was the a shadow guard (like a secret service??) working for the late king disguised as a royal guard and was given a secret mission, in charge of a jade object which may have been a royal seal. In the last episode, the Left Minister, the FIL of YH was shown talking to a young man who was on the ground wounded. The Left Minister was holding a jade object and a letter and his thug stabbed the wounded young man and left him for dead. It was assumed that was YH brother. But was it really YH brother, or could be a someone else? YH brother was "shadow guard" so he would be working behind the scenes even disguised, so would the FIL of YH really know what YH brother look like? Who is the young man then who was stabbed and left for dead whom FIL took some jade object and a letter from? Now, the sword that YH brother left YH, the sister, could it be that YH bro hid the object that the king entrusted to him in the sword that he left YH?

OK, now that the "husband" is back, how is the Left Minister going to deal with that and how will the husband react when he realizes that the woman whom he thinks is the secret lover of the Captain of the Garrison Guards is his wife whom he left long ago and will the husband help the two "lovers" as he sees them get together? Like Yeo Hwa said, would Yoon Hak have recognized the sword of Yeo Hwa's brother and the significance of the sword, what is hidden in it, if any?
