Yes, i was wondering if BJT is actually popular, since i dont  read chinese, so i dont really know...  good to know he has 28m followers.... i read on twitter that he asked people to watch his dramas on his weibo update today...  hmm..

 

I thought he looks better in his shorter  hair in this drama... longer hair makes him look younger, from the other photos i saw recently... i think his policeman XKL hair looks better, and manly on him... and more mature...otherwise he has such a boyish face...

 

Ok, whats with the evil sisters?.... and lo and behold, Wenbao suddenly wanting to date Xia? I guess the writer or director suddenly realised that the drama is ending soon hence cant drag another 5 episodes on their relationship???, i mean whats the rush before this right...*rolled eyes* ....  Man....30 episodes of nothingness, then bam, because the other guy, Lu Feng, want to hit him then he said he will date Xia...  urgh....

 

Saw snippets of the Wenbao and Xia's wedding and i hope Kelei and Mika would have one too?

 

Common where is ep33... i wanna watch it now... Kenyao having a hard talk on  two evil sisters is the best...cant wait to watch that episode

Chingus if you need to watch it with subs YAMH is released ok WeTV with subs but you have to pay a very minimal fee for VIP.  Other than than it is updated as soon as WeTV subs are out on dramanice dot so and dramacool.

IKR! She looks way older than MK and KL!  I'm fuming mad with the sister's actions.  It's like XKL had some debt to pay to them which is crazy given the background that was given.  

 

I want to pull their hairs out!  I was a bit disappointed the this took a bit to settle.  I like how MK handled things and how she lost it when it was necessary.  She isn't a pushover at all, just a very good person.  XKL had been indecisive on this one but not until he actually saw what mess the sisters made.  I think it's nice of XKL to ask her sister to help out.  He seems to already know that she doesn't really like them and that they fear her.  

 

Have I mentioned I love Keyao jie?  From the moment she went onscreen I had loved her interaction with XKL!  She is calm, decisive and no-nonsense.  Those traits she made the Shens taste them hahaha.  I love how so direct she was in resolving the issue with the Shens.

MK totally played it cool and stayed professional. I love how she got the nurse to call security to kick the little sister out. Even the patient that shared the room with the older sister had enough of them.  So is that it? We won't see them anymore? What a waste of 3 episodes on them. Lol

 

@realistic2280a  I agree. I can't believe it took more than 30 eps for Xia and WSB to be official. I don't buy his excuse about him thinking he is not good enough for Xia.

I actually saw him before in a variety show Who's The Murderer, where he is a regular, when Deng Lun was a guest but really did not mind him.  He was like a baby to me, especially with his face.  He looked so young.  I love how he looked as Xing Kelei and I hope he would sport this kind of look again.  Seems not tho.  His latest photoshoot with is back to his usual self.  I can't actually reconcile his character with his usual self we saw on TV.  Maybe because of his face and how he acted.  I salute him on this matter, showing how manly XKL is, like a real SWAT.

 

And oh my, his voice, totally fallen in love with his voice as XKL.  I wish he would do a docu voice over so I can listen to it over and over again.

 

Speaking of his voice, I wish he sang a song from the OST, he have such a easy singing voice to listen.

Right right! XKY is all sorts of awesome.  So direct.  Yeah MK is professional and over-all a good person.  She just brushed and laughed at the rumors even when she is bothered by them.  It's funny but I like how XKL handled the rumors.  Sadly he was at the combat when the worst happen.  I just can't with the Shens!

 

Well, SWB, it's such a waste that he did not act on his feelings if there are any for the past episodes.  He is such a blockhead, waiting for instructions on how to do things.  Xia will have a handful when she marries him.

First Impression

Four Positive Points
Bai Jing Ting and Sandra Ma use their actual voices in this drama. That means we get the real and raw emotions in their acting. It makes a huge difference when you hear Bai Jing Ting bark orders as Captain Xing Ke Lei of the Tiger Assault Team vs. when he gets nervous around Mi Ka. The mix of his acting and the raw emotions combined creates an experience lacking in Chinese dramas’ dubbing world. That's why it's always much appreciated when I see actors/actresses use their real voices.
	The lead actors' acting is wonderful individually and even better when they come together for their scenes, AKA cue the chemistry. When we see Captain Xing Ke Lei and Mi Ka on the job, they are serious and hardworking. However, when they come together, the atmosphere changes as we see two adults who have no experience in courtship life. As viewers, we can see how awkward they are: the little hesitant moves, the nervous giggles, and the expressions on their faces. This creates the onscreen chemistry that viewers have been raving about for this drama. It feels natural, realistic, and sweet at the same time.

 

 

Some behind the scenes below.  Bai Jingting and Ma Sichun have great chemistry on and off screen.  They are so goofy and I bet they enjoyed filming this drama.

You're welcome chingu!  I love his voice and it changes depending on his tone and even when he sings, in the variety it's quite different... overall I just love his voice.

 

Favorite line, definitely same as yours.  It does rang differently when he is saying those two lines.  Couple that with that look in his eyes... see I just fainted.

 

Just saw episodes 35-36, and if you wanna watch it, go check it on WeTV and dramanice dot so, they're available now.

So for episodes 35-36 XKL and MK agreed to go on a trip to the beach.  MK went to work, XKL prepared their things, got a call form Capt Hao.  Another special ops, XKL left and sends a message to MK that he will be out.  MK was not able to open her phone and see his message.  

There was a suspected MERS COV case in the hospital, ER got closed, MK not feeling well, seems to have been infected, got isolated, quarantined.  She ask for her CP and saw Kelei's message.  She wanted to tell him but instead sent the message to Xia.  Meanwhile XKL and his team is busy with the new special ops.  

MK was really sad thinking about XKL not on her side and also worrying about him.

XKL and team in operation and came to Renxin.  WJ and LN went inside undercover as doctors.  When WJ went to report to XKL she mentioned about the ER incident and the isolation and wondered if MK is ok.  

MK was discharged and allowed to go home, Xia came with no XKL in sight.

XKL arrived home looking for MK. XIa told him to take care of her.  He checked on her and she's sleeping.  XKL looks very bothered and sad at the same time.  He is lying on the couch inside his room when he heard some sound.  He rushed outside and saw MK scooping some soup.  He went to her, very apologetic and sad, told MK that she wants him to not only be strong in front of her but also show his vulnerable side and asked to that she do the same.  

Thoughts

This scene is really felt really sad, tbh I cried.  There is this vulnerable feeling between them.  I love how XKL is so sweet and cared about MK so much and how he felt really guilty not being able to take care of MK when she was sick.  I just love this scene. ( I think I mentioned this about YAMH a million times already lols)

They planned another trip, XKL prepared a lot of stuff to eat, MK's fave, since it will be a long trip.  They are well on their when the evil Shao called again. Poor couple.  Xia visited MK, they drink.  At one point MK tells Xia her thoughts that with their profession even if they live in the same house, it is quite hard to have time for each other and when they do they just have to say Hi and if that kind of relationship will last.

Dr. Shao informed MK she passed the initial evaluation of the Allen Med Institute.

WB asked XKL to help him buy a diamond as he is proposing. The blockhead XKL even took a pic of the rings and sent to MK with a hanging question.

WB and XKL tried the rings and even intertwined their hands amusing the saleslady. 

Saleslady informed them that if they can buy additional items they'd get 12% discount and WB asked XKL to just buy MK's ring so he can propose also, calling him insincere for not proposing yet.  XKL told him it is insincere to just a ring just for a discount and offered to buy him a necklace as his wedding gift.

 

Thoughts

It is kinda sad actually seeing them like this. I guess they just have to prepare themselves on this matter since they both knew what kind of work each one has.  One can have his/her own limits and sometimes you just can't help but be sad every time you get stood up. Their love for each other looks strong enough to withstand this problem yet it can dampen their relationship if not taken cared of.  

 

Funny scene WB buying a ring to propose to Xia, especially when they intertwine their fingers.  But really, XKL, SWB will propose first to Xia, will be doing it faster than you who had been supposedly mentoring him?!  Doesn't XKL know what it means for a girl to be given a ring or even ask her about a ring?! Tsk!

 

I just want to see a wedding of XKL and MK, nothing else.  it seems were seeing WB's tho.  

So, for the last episodes, we're in for separation and more XKL rescuing MK.

 

I hope we get up to episode 40 tomorrow.

ep 35/36  Ringgg time ..our Wenbao is on the roll and going for it 100%. He wants kisses, he wants rings and he wants marriage ....I think our Xia is going to be pregnant on her honeymoon night lol . 

Mi Ka is feeling lonely ...lonely in the quarantine, lonely at home ...and now even lonely when your guy has time to help others and she has to make a choice of short term separation or will it be long term angst.  

Its the minor life decisions that build the strong foundation and I just realized how not just important, but essential for these two to be totally open with each other since their time together is on razor edge constantly. 

 

4 more eps left....but watching the preview there is still spilled blood

After watching the next few episode's preview, seeing WSB and Xia's wedding pics took place at the base.....I really think they should have save that scene for XKL and MK or at least have them get married first. XKL is the captain and main lead, the base is HIS territory.

Yeah I couldn't agree more!  It should have been XKL and MK's wedding and aren't we all invested in them than in any other couple of this drama.

It seems like a prenuptial photoshoot made at the base.

Vincenzo is good! Esp the male lead. So good looking in DOTS. I started watching DOTS last week to kill time while waiting for YAMH new episodes.

Ke Yao asks Dr Shao if he was looking for a place to buy and tells him a friend recommended a place that looks suitable. Dr Shao asks her if the place will only 'accommodate' him? She pauses and says no, it's for the both of us. He is delighted and suggests a date that they can both take a look at it together. 

 

The rest of the video is about our second leads taking photos for their wedding album. At her (registration) reception, Qing Xia says she hopes her best friend, Mi Ka will be the next to obtain happiness (meaning to get married) and tells Ke Lei to be good to Mi Ka. Of course he says he will. And Qing Xia pushes them to have a 'couple's drink' (arms intertwined) and the rest of his team urge them on. Mi Ka objects but the couple say they don't mind. Next we see a plane in the air (Mi Ka must have gone for an exchange program/ further studies abroad?) and Ke Lei is crossing each day out. They have a video call and Mi Ka says she is  very committed to her studies (eating while studying?) and has lost weight, to which Ke Lei replies that she doesn't appear to have lost any weight. She threatens him to repeat what he just said and he laughs it off.

 

Episode 39

 

Mi Ka is back in China and rushing to board a bus that she has nearly missed. The bus driver seems reluctant to let her board but relents. It seems she is going to a place "Chang Gang" (Wiki says it's a station in Wuhan). Our dear girl sees a man grabbing another passenger's bag and tells the person seated next to her. (Mindless courage I have to say or blissfully ignorant of the consequences of her actions) She taps the shoulder of the person who took the bag, and somehow a gun is revealed (it's holstered on his waist). All hell breaks lose and someone gets shot (perhaps two, the baddie is more acutely wounded than I think the one who shot him, probably a cop?). Mi Ka dutifully treats the wounded and the head baddie 'demands' that his comrade be saved. I think the authorities are informed as the bus load of passengers are probably being taken hostage. She speaks to the authorities about the need to carry out surgery on board the bus and says she will provide them with a list of items needed, requesting for medical personnel to assist her (to board the bus). Ke Lei gets a call to attend to the situation but is unaware that it's Mi Ka, until he arrives at the scene. Someone on the scene asks if the equipment that Dr Mi asked for has been prepared. Ke Lei catches on quickly and asks for the name and gets his suspicions confirmed (he looks horrified). He boards the bus, dressed up in a doctor's garb and they lock eyes. He walks towards her, and the baddie in charge asks him to remove his face mask.

 

Episode 40

 

Ke Lei is running frantically towards the bus, boards it and we see Mi Ka being taken hostage by the head baddie. He fires a shot at Ke Lei and Mi Ka courageously puts up a fight with him, trying to disarm him. Ke Lei rushes towards the guy as he throws Mi Ka to the side. He has a knife and tries to stab Mi Ka and I think (not shown clearly) that Ke Lei shields her, getting stabbed. As he tries to stab Ke Lei again, we see the baddie getting shot at (probably reinforcements have arrived). I think Ke Lei has been stabbed in the lungs and there is fluid gathering in it, and if she doesn't do something, he can't breathe. So she has to do the same thing (she did it to a patient in the elevator, earlier episode) - I think it's called a thoracentesis, to remove fluid or air from around the lungs, and a needle is put thru the chest wall into the pleural space. She's nervous obviously about doing it but he gives her words of encouragement. After that needle-piercing scene, we see him unconscious, in an ambulance and Mi Ka talking to him. Asking him why he shielded her under such (dangerous) circumstances, saying that she just got home, and they haven't seen each other for two years. And upon meeting each other, this has befallen him. She beseeches him to wake up, recover soon, and get married. "You said that you would marry me."

And we have to wait till next Thursday then to see all this!

@realistic2280a I tried to google ranking for police in China, but there isn't a captain rank (it's constable, superintendent, supervisor, commissioner). I suppose as he and the team are part of the special police unit, theirs is more like the army (which according to Wiki, is based on the German structure, and quite close to the US one). So after Captain it should be Major or Liutenant Colonel (his boss?) and his underlings should be First Liutenant, Second Liutenant or Seargent Major (warrant officer - a highly specialised expert and trainer in his field, which seems more suited to Wen Bo).

Song Jong Ki is quite a well known actor, (knew him since Sungkyunkwan Scandal) fame exploded due to DOTS and marriage... and the shocking divorce after that...

I had been wondering about this as well.  As far as I know the rank Captain, has only one Captain in it. Unlike the Lieutenant, Colonel and the General.

I think they want to emphasize by showing this how ideal Xing Kelei is, knows how to cook, cleans the house and basically knows everything.

Yes,, isnt it a curiousity why all of them are Captains?...  Wenbao, most of the time, who listens to KeLei's instruction when they are in training and during missions, how can he be a captain as well?

 

Ep36, highlights the issue of being in a relationship of people with different specialisation. Will women eventually have to give up work, to take of a child, if conceived? Or KeLei becomes an instructor? Hmm... realities of work, unless the grandparents are there to help take care of a child.

 

Wenbao going so fast with his relationship and thinking about marriage, im not sure if that is wise... would Xia be comfortable with such a not so smart man, in romance? Xia is a type of girl who does need the romance, and i doubt Wenbao is up to. Sigh.. in real relatioship, given a year, they probably will broke up coz of Xia's frusturations over Wenbao's unromantic ways and work issues, let alone rushing to marriage.

 

As for Mika's disappointment, i think its real relationship issue and should be explored in the drama... 

 

Perhaps its good that she is leaving, to sort out her feelings overseas before making decision...
