“Yumi’s Cells 2” released a heart-fluttering new teaser!

Based on the popular webtoon of the same name, “Yumi’s Cells” tells the story of an ordinary office worker named Yumi—from the point of view of the many brain cells in her head controlling her every thought, feeling, and action. Kim Go Eun plays the titular role of Yumi, an ordinary woman who struggles with expressing her feelings.

The teaser begins with Yumi’s past days in which she laughed and cried with her cells during a previous chapter in her life centering around her love story with Goo Woong (Ahn Bo Hyun). The scenes capture their passionate love from their sweet kiss to their tearful farewell.

However, the show abruptly stops after a sad ending when the writer cell suddenly yells, “Cut,” much to the other cells’ surprise and dismay. The emotional cell asks, “It ends like this?” and the anxiety cell and polite cell both express their disappointment. The writer cell smiles and proudly reveals, “That’s why I’ve prepared this! It’s the script for Season 2!” Throwing the script into the air, the cells celebrate with great excitement.

Last season, TVING's original series Yumi's Cells starring Kim Go Eun, GOT7’s Jinyoung, and Ahn Bo Hyun soared in ratings as they depicted a raw and real love story between two ordinary people trying to navigate their feelings with each other. Inexperienced in the aspect of love, Yumi and Bo Hyun's Goo Woong relationship take turn for the worse.

In the first season, viewers got a glimpse of Jinyoung's character Bobby and believed that he could be Yumi's potential love interest. After seeing Woong ending the relationship, the story cell appears and says, ''I knew this was going to happen and prepared it! This is the script for season 2''. The clip hints at Yumi's new beginning of a love story with Jinyoung's Bobby as she hesitantly agrees to go with him.

Till now, the makers have only released teasers featuring Kim Go Eun and GOT7's Jinyoung leaving the fans in the dark about the appearance of Ahn Bo Hyun's character. While the two did not end on a cordial note, many fans are pitching for them to get together in the second season and reconcile their differences.

tvN’s “Yumi’s Cells” has unveiled a super-cute new poster for its upcoming second season!

Based on the popular webtoon of the same name, “Yumi’s Cells” tells the story of an ordinary office worker named Yumi—from the point of view of the many brain cells in her head controlling her every thought, feeling, and action. Kim Go Eun plays the titular role of Yumi, an ordinary woman who struggles with expressing her feelings. The first season of “Yumi’s Cells,” which became the first K-drama ever to combine live action and 3D animation, aired in autumn 2021 and received a lot of love from viewers.

The newly released “group” poster features Yumi and her charming co-worker Yoo Babi (played by GOT7’s Jinyoung), as well as several of their adorable cells.

Most importantly, Yoo Babi’s giant love cell brings him and Yumi together with a warm embrace, as if he is playing the role of Cupid for the would-be couple.
