SUNNY AGAIN TOMORROW

RECAP, EPISODE 1

Kang walks to work in the morning.

As part of the interview process for a new job, Kang gives a sample strategy presentation for a new public relations program to a group of salary men who seem to be impressed.  When one of them asks what her college major was and she tells them she only graduated from high school, however, the mood seems to be broken.

The rest of the interview does not go well and ends when a harpy from Human Resources arrives and throws Kang’s resume into the air.

Back at Kang’s house, her Mother cooks a meal and prays for her daughter to get the job she is applying for..  Not only are her prayers unanswered but she burns the meal.   Park Do Kyung's Father, her landlord,  enters and they bicker about the relative success of their children.

Kang’s Sister arrives home and enlisted by her Mother in her prayer campaign for Kang..

Yoon Jin Hee, a wealthy but nasty piece of work, leaves her house.  On the street she is confronted by her daughter, Yoon Sun Hee, who for some reason she professes not to recognize.  .

Yoon enters a department store.  The store clerk, who knows her, tells her that she does not look well.  They go into a back room where Yoon explains that her daughter has made an appearance.  For some reason this is not welcome news and the two women emote.  There is some hysterical conversation   about DNA testing.

Kang walks down the street as she ponders life’s unfairness.  Her Mother calls and Kang incorrectly tells her that she doesn’t know whether she got the job.

Hwayng Ji Eun discusses the marketing of skin care products with two colleagues at work.

As a woman passes a coffee shop, she spots her boyfriend romancing a new flame.  She enters the coffee shop and makes a scene.  When the woman pretends to have morning sickness, her competitor leaves the shop.  After the woman leaves the man and his supposedly angry girlfriend are on suspiciously good terms.  Lee Han Kyul observes all of this.

Park Do Kyung tells his soon to be Ex boss that he is quitting his job because it isn’t fun.  His boss is like, of course it isn’t fun, that’s why it’s a job.  As he packs up his things, his co-workers tell him they are too busy to throw a party for him.

Someone tries unsuccessfully to bribe Lee Han Kyul.  He sends him packing.  As he leaves the restaurant, he sees the suspicious couple from the coffee shop interacting happily with some friends.

Lee and his Sister arrive home, interrupting his parents just as they were about to apply their seals to divorce papers.

The suspicious couple from the coffee shop split for the evening.  He hands her a money envelope, since she was hired to pretend to be his girlfriend.  This turns out to be one of Kang’s odd jobs.

Park tries but fails to come up with a good way to explain to his Father that he has quit his job.

Kang confesses that she didn’t get the job.  Her Mother tells her that tomorrow will be better.

A friend of Park’s Father calls and Park listens while his Father brags about the great job his Son has.

Kang works as a customer service operator taking orders at a Home Shopping Network.

At his desk, Lee monitors and evaluates a call between Kang and a customer.

A real corporate twerp type informs Kang that she has just been fired from her job in the call center.

SUNNY AGAIN TOMORROW

RECAP, EPISODE 2

At the Home Shopping Network call center, Kang fields a call from a customer who needs to know her bra size before he can order a pair of shorts.  This is followed by calls from other charmers.  At his desk, Lee monitors and evaluates Kang’s performance.

An supervisor wearing some seriously ugly glasses notifies Kang that she has been fired.  She thinks he is mistaken.  He assures her that he isn’t.

Yoon Jin Hee receives DNA results showing that the latest woman she thinks might be her daughter isn’t her daughter.

Yoon goes to the restaurant where the woman who failed the DNA test works.  The woman immediately apologizes, but is shocked when Yoon greets her as her daughter.  Then Yoon apologizes for not recognizing her as her daughter and the woman is really bewildered.

Mrs. Moon (Yoon’s Mother) and her Grandson Hwang Dong Seok eat breakfast.  They are joined by Hwang’s Son Ji Hoo.  Yoon calls them into the living room and informs them that she has located her daughter.

At her erstwhile desk in the call center, Kang places her belongings in the proverbial cardboard box.  The supervisor with the ugly glasses passes by and tells her that she is taking too much time.

Kang leaves the building and sits on a bench.  Hwang Ji Eun walks by.  She receives a call from Yoon telling her that she has found her daughter.  After she rings off, she sits down on the next bench and contemplates the news.

Yoon leads the woman she has designated as her daughter into the house and introduces her to the others.  Everyone accepts her but the woman is obviously frightened.

Lee’s Father, who is a shoemaker, squabbles with Kang’s Mother, who runs a shop across the hall from his.

Kang eats opens a can of OB, the Official Beer Of Korean Dramas,  at a table outside a Korean convenience store.  She is interrupted by Park, who is wearing a suit even though he no longer has a job to report to.  Doubtless, he has yet to inform his Father that he is unemployed.  She gives him a beer.

Park goes into the store to buy more beer.  The woman who was just fired from a low paying job that’s no fun, but that she wanted to keep, explains her situation to the man who has just quit a high paying job because it was no fun.  He tells her to Be Strong, Carry On, and ETC..

Back at the house, the Woman Now Known As Yoon’s Daughter auditions for the role.   She seems to convince them by “remembering” that she played with dolls in the living room, since very few girls play with dolls.

Hwang returns to her office, which she shares with Lee and another woman, just as the workday is ending.

Lee and his Sister join their parents at a restaurant, to which they have probably called them to announce that they are getting divorced.  The parents inform them that they are “Graduating” their marriage (Aren’t they flunking it?)  Lee’s Sister irritates her parents by arguing with them.  Then Lee seems to disappoint them by calmly accepting their decision.

The Woman Now Known As Yoon’s Daughter eats dinner with the family.  They inform her that her name is Han Soo Jeong and that her Father died ten years ago.  When she tells them she needs to go “home” to pack, they remind her that she is already “home.”

Kang and Park return home.  Park’s Father owns the house and Kang and her Mother are tenants.  We learn that Kang has a crush on Park, about which he is apparently clueless.

Kang’s former co-worker calls her and informs her that Lee was responsible for canning her.  She commits Lee’s name to memory.

Yoon fusses over the Woman Now Known As Her Daughter as she sleeps.

Hwang returns home and is not excited to learn that her supposed sister is now in residence.

The next morning Kang is standing in a hallway when Lee arrives and rudely tells her to move out of the way.  She tells him she’s looking for Lee and he’s like, Yeah, I know him.

Then he is like, “Lee, C’est Moi.”

Freeze frame of Kang’s abashed face.

@jimb Thanks for the recaps.. I'm also following this drama.. I think the so daughter that she's found is a fake as well..  Even if your re the daughter of the CEO you still don't be barking orders as the CEO daughter at her mom employee.. She don't know anything about this woman she could be a big investor or some buyer..

I'm still curious into why the cousin is avoiding her did she have something to do with her going missing or what..

SUNNY AGAIN TOMORROW

RECAP, EPISODE 3

Kang pleads her case to Lee, who is not inclined to be sympathetic and, moreover, remembers her as half of the suspicious couple in the coffee shop.  He calls Security and orders Kang removed from the building.

Kang is ejected from the building by another salaryman with ugly glasses.  Hwang takes notice as she enters the building for work.

Hwang’s Brother is rudely awakened by his Mother and leaves for school to take an important exam.  The rest of the household is eating breakfast, including the Random Woman Now Known As Han Soo Jeong.  Madame Moon is angry that Hwang left for work without greeting the new member of the household.

Yoon goes with her “daughter” to her apartment to help her pack her things.  Yoon insists on buying her a totally new wardrobe although her “daughter” is fine with the clothes she has.  Then Yoon takes her to a beauty parlor.  Her daughter is undergoing a full Pygmalion.

We learn that Park quit his job to set up his own business with a partner.  However, on their first day his partner enters and tells him that he has gotten cold feet and decided not to quit his current job.  Nevertheless, Park persists.

Kang’s Mother brings Park’s Father some food.  Yoon’s Sister, who has just ordered custom-made shoes highhats Kang’s Mother and sparks fly.  After the wealthy customer leaves, Kang’s Mother and Lee’s Father bicker, as per usual.

After Yoon’s Sister leaves the shoe shop she encounters a woman from her past on the sidewalk.  She is polite but breaks away as soon as she can find an excuse to leave.

Yoon arrives at her office with her “daughter.”  By now the “daughter’s” wardrobe and attitude have been totally transformed and she has a Jeckyll  and Hyde thing going on.  When Yoon leaves the room for a moment, the “daughter” orders one of Yoon’s professional employees to fetch her coffee.  Yoon’s employee is like, WTF?

Hwang flashes back on childhood memories of the “Lost And Found Daughter.” She remembers her hogging a box of chocolates and refusing to share.

Kang sits outside the front entrance to the office building in hopes of waylaying Lee as he leaves his office building.  Unknown to her, he drives to work.  When he passes her in his car, she chases after it.  She trips and he makes his getaway.

When Kang arrives home, Park helps her apply ointment to her bruised leg.

Lee’s Father and Mother bicker, as per usual.  Lee’s Father learns that now that he and his wife have “graduated” from their marriage, it is he who is expected to find another place to live.  His wife has obligingly packed his things in a roller bag.  He leaves the house.

Lee’s Sister arrives home and is disturbed to learn that her Mother has actually kicked her Father out of the house.

Hwang arrives home and is not happy to learn that she will be sharing her bedroom with Ms. Lost And Found.

Hwang’s “Sister” introduces herself, radiating Creepy Vibes.

@sava2sava @UnniSarah  Interesting how the fake daughter failed the DNA test, but displays the same selfish qualities Hwang recalls of her real sister.

@jimb.... Yes , They are very similar chingu. I was starting that she isn’t the fake one. This actress isn’t listed as part of the cast. So I am very confused right.

Mystery how did she pass the test? How does she know that her cousin is behind the mystery of Soo Jeon’s disappearance??  Thanks for recap.

Thanks for the heads up @UnniSarah We will find out how exactly she's involved.. Maybe she thinks her cousin will remember what she did.. I'm wondering just how old they were for her not to remember her name or family when she went missing..

SUNNY AGAIN TOMORROW

RECAP, EPISODE 4

Hwang’s “Sister” asks, “Are you really glad to see me?”  Hwang asks, “What do you mean by that?”  Before “Sister” can answer, Yoon joins the two women in the bedroom.

The family eats dinner.  The “Sister” claims to have a clear memory of Hwang.   Like, she remembers playing with her . . .  As the family brings up specifics, the “Sister” suddenly gets a “headache.”

Kang, Park and their families eat pork barbecue outdoors.  Their parents argue about the incident in the shoe shop with Yoon’Sister.

Kang’s Mother asks her about the job she applied for.  Kang says that she is still awaiting the company’s decision.

Lee and his Father drink soju at an outdoor table.  A group of kids in baseball uniforms are nearby.  We learn that Lee had hoped to become a baseball player before injuring his leg in an automobile accident.  They discuss the “marriage graduation” and his Father imparts wisdom.  “Nothing in life is easy.”  “A man’s got to do what a man’s got to do.” And etc.

Lee returns home and talks with his Sister.  His Mother has left a picture of a potential blind date in his bedroom.  His Sister wonders why their parents don’t just divorce and be done with it rather than “graduate.”

We have a split-screen in which Lee’s Mother and Father each dance alone in their separate abodes and celebrate their freedom from each other.

In the middle of the night, Yoon walks into the kitchen and finds Hwang drinking beer alone.  Yoon recites a litany of hardships her newfound “daughter” claims to have borne in the intervening years.

At work, Lee berates a salesman who is trying to sell the Shopping Network on a shoddy new product.

Lee receives a call telling him that his car has been dented.  When he goes to the parking garage to check it out, he finds no visible damage.  As he is about to return to work, Kang appears out of nowhere.  When she asks for her job back, Lee threatens to have her arrested if she contacts him again.  Then he walks away, Korean Hard Guy Style.

As Kang trudges down the street, her Mother calls and asks her to buy her a blender from the Home Shopping Network.  Kang agrees, although she isn’t keen on buying anything from the Home Shopping Network at this point.  After she rings off, her Mother wonders why it sounded like Kang was outdoors.

Yoon, with her “Daughter” and other family members in tow, visit her deceased husband’s crypt.

We learn that Hwang is Yoon’s niece and not her daughter.

When they arrive home, Hwang prepares to bring Yoon some tea but the “Daughter” grabs it out of her hand, telling her that from now on she is Yoon’s only daughter.  The “Daughter” does not know that Yoon has entered the room and witnessed this exchange.

Hwang leaves for work.  Yoon gives the “Daughter” a Look and takes the tea from her hands, leaving the room.  The “Daughter” wonders whether she has committed a Fatal Error.

Yoon suggests to Halmoni that maybe the “Daughter” could join her business as a fashion designer since “she liked to make clothes for dolls when she was a child.”

Yoon encounters the “Daughter” as she is leaving the house to “have lunch with a friend.”  Yoon offers to drive her but the “Daughter” declines.  Before she leaves, Yoon gives her a credit card to use.  The “Daughter” pretends to be reluctant to accept it.

In her car, Hwang recalls her various unpleasant and creepy exchanges with the “Daughter.”

At work, Lee’s Sister learns via a picture posted on social media that her boyfriend is no longer her boyfriend.  But it is all a trick.  The next moment Prince Charming, a fey caballero, enters her office and they embrace.

Kang has dinner with her Mother and Sister and tells them she has “quit” her job at the Home Shopping Network.  Her Mother tries unsuccessfully to persuade her to go to college rather than looking for another job.

Hwang drinks in a bar and recalls a disturbing incident from her childhood:  The “Daughter” demands that Hwang return a ball.  Instead, Hwang throws it and the Daughter chases it into the street, where she is hit by a car.  The driver scoops up the “Daughter,” places her in his car and drives away..

The “Daughter” arrives home drunk.  She shocks Yoon by drunkenly raving about how much she hates Hwang and resents her for “pretending to be her daughter.”

The “Daughter” enters the bedroom, wakes up Hwang, and drunkenly demands to know “Why you did that to me 20 years ago.”

Thanks @jimb  So there we have it.. She saw the car hit her and never told anyone that the driver that hit her took her away.. So we now understand why she was avoiding her.. I thought the one that was fired from the home shopping network could have been the real daughter the way they showed them at the end in that one episode..

I'm confused because it looks like the evil daughter is indeed the real one. However, my experience in this kind of dramas tells me that the lead actress is 100% the real daughter, which means her mom slapped her in the latest episode :lol: If the other girl is an impostor, I hope they find out soon because she's getting on my nerves. She's not listed as part of the cast, so I guess she won't last long. Maybe JE will expose her and take her place as the show's main villain since she's "responsible" for her disappearance, even though she didn't do it on purpose, but still, it would make sense that she wouldn't want the real SJ back...

If HN really is SJ, then I suppose she lost her memory due to that accident when she was a child.

I was thinking the same. I do not believe the so call real daughter . She has a plan. But if not she must be a really pain of a person. She would make so much trouble. And also HN please change a little bit. Be moore mature and keep your job. Some time she gets on my nerves, specially with the young male.
