On a side note, Wikipedia is the worst place to read anything about them XD I was just reading KAT-TUN entry in the japanese Wikipedia and the famous Anti-fans got their claws on it again, poor song, FREAK OUT! may not be one of their best but it doesn't deserved to be altered like they did ¬¬

That was during that time, and he had Pi to help, but Jin even in the lowest moments still had a constant fanbase, very loyal and wide.

Koki is the sweetest thing, he is such a teddy bear he is also a deep thinker and very intelligent not to mention really good designing and even sewing!!

It's like how in photographs, Kim Hyun Joong from SS501 resembles Jin at a certain angle (and sometimes Yamapi) but if they were standing side by side, they look nothing alike.

It's just the angle/lighting/etc.

Junno and DBSK's Chang Min definitely look similar to me.

I'm very new to Japanese pop (like couple of days) and KAT-TUN was the first singer/group that caught my eyes because Gokuesen 2 is my favorite Japanese drama and just found out the Kame and Jin were part of KAT-TUN.

I read the first page for their bio and now understand why they are called KAT-TUN. Very original! LOL!

I was wondering if you guys can direct me to sites (non-Youtube) that I can see clips of them. I can download from CB so CB links are okay too. There gotta to be blogs/fansites for them right? I would love to see MV, live performances, or concert clips.

And also I also read here (in the beginning - I'll continue reading later) that Gokusen 2 had 2.5 hours special? I know Gokusen 1 and 3 had specials but didn't know Gokusen 2 had specials. Where can I find this with Eng sub?

Yes, Johnny thought it had a nice sound and also that it sounded a bit like katsun or good luck in japanese (roughly translated )

Sites non youtube? Have you tried http://www.dailymotion.com/ for example? I would say Veoh too but as they have stopped their services in several countries i don't use to recommend it a lot. You can also try the megasearchers http://fooooo.com/ or http://www.truveo.com/; you can introduce what you are searching there and they show you several sites.

LOL Yes, there are fan blogs and sites, maybe if you have livejournal a simple search about KAT-TUN or the members will show you how many First of all beware of them, there are places really biased and you will need to keep your head cold to find the true facts and question everything!

Thank you so much. I'll check them out. I usually don't like watching on-line but rather save it to my harddrive all my favorite clips so that I can watch it again and again anytime.

This is really new experience for me since I'm Korean and for longest time I didn't understand why "non-Koreans"" were into Korean stuff when they didn't understand and now I'm on the same boat except I'm now into Japanese dramas and songs/groups. I'm burnt out with Korean related right now especially after BOF which stressed me out watching it.

Would appreciate much help as possible on finding KAT-TUN related stuff.

I was surfing for Gokusen 2 related and saw that there was Special for Gokusen 2 and Kame was singing song from the drama. I tried to located the full show but cannot find it. Does anyone know where I can find the full show?

EDIT: What is the name of the song Kame sang during the Gokusen 2 special? Is it part of the OST? If not, where can I download that song?

In all those Livejournals you will find downloads with no problems I have way over 100 Gb in KAT-TUN things and that is just a part...

In my case i have always been more into foreing things that the ones of my country, i guess that growing up constantly moving from one place to another may have to do with it and i totally understand what you mean about BOF totally dissapointed by it

They've been together a long time, and it was a while before they officially debuted; also Domoto Koichi (KinKi Kids) had chosen them as backdancers for some of his solo works from 2001.

I'm really looking forward to finding everything I can on them. A friend of mine sent me "Priates" concert links so I was able to look and it and WOW they were awsome. They really go all the way with the concert. I was at first confused because there were so many other "cute" guys in the concert. I guess they are from other groups? You can tell I'm really new to Japanese entertainment industry. LOL!

"Someday for Somebody" i just like those two. Kame is not exactly my fav member, not even in solos LOL

Must as in from teh whole band? solos? more pop? more rock? ballads or more active things?...I ask because i am mainly a rock girl and i tend to listen to their more active songs

About concerts, "Real Face" is a must.

Those other "cute guys" are Juniors, Johnnys enter the company very young to be trained as entertainers, they are placed in temporary units that can be specialized in some things (acrobatics, dance etc...) and those units keep on working with the debuted bands to get experience, and if they become popular enough they can be debuted or if several guys from different units become popular they are joined in a new one.

KAT-TUN is rather exceptional there, they were formed to be Koichi backdancers but became incredibly popular and because of that even when Pop Jam finished they were kept toguether. They even held concerts before they were debuted and are one of the few junior units that nade it and could debut toguether.

I've been Shinhwa fan for 3 years now. With some of them in the army, I got loney so I started to venture out KAT-TUN caught my eyes because of Gokusen 2.

Not only are they 6 of them (like Shinhwa) but I noticed Jin missed one of the album (like Andy).

I got a question though. I read in some other thread that Jin and Kame doesn't get along. Is that true? The reason why I love Shinhwa so much is not so much for their music but their "closeness" and "their goofiness" when they are together. I was hoping to see that in KAT-TUN.....

Does Jin has any solos?

He has many solos including: "Care" (which will be release in their next album), "Hesitate", "Love or Like" and "Lovejuice" (This song is release in Don't You Ever Stop single).

He can play the guitar and has composed both music and lyrics for "Murasaki ", "Ha-Ha", and "Pinky".

He also collaborated with bandmate Ueda to create the song "Butterfly"

LOL XD But it is true! He may have brought up some of the most present bands in Japanese pop culture but he definetelly has a problem with naming...AND DRESSING!! Jin has many solos, and most written both lyrics and music by him , he is the third biggest composer in KAT-TUN toguether with Ueda and Koki. You have most between the ones Immortal_Angel posted, he also has great covers of other songs i particularly like "Kimi wo Omoutoki" he was still a kid there (almost) but he started to show how good he was singing Oh and he had a new solo for this album too but it seems it was not ready for the time the record had to be done.

And "Butterfly" is deff one of the best KT songs, even when it is just a duet

About the Juniors, i think not even other Japanese companies do it like that either, it is something very particular of JE, they even have their weekly show "The Shonen Club"

About Jin and Kame, yes, they don't get a long, they were friends once but they began to grow apart around 2003 and by 2005 they were already quite distanced and from 2006 and specially 2007 since Jin came back they are just co-workers. The reason only they can say. But i think that they drifting apart was something good for KAT-TUN, up until then it was Jin and kame and then the rest now it is KAT-TUN. .

You won't find that kind of closeness in KAT-TUN, they think of it as a job, they are coworkers, despite this they have friends inside the group, kame is extremelly close to Koki, they go out toguether, drinks, trips...they share their personal clothes and complements are constantly messaging each other to see if the other is ok, they always give presents to each other when it's their birthday... kame and Koki are also close to Maru, who always acts like a bridge between the two sides of KAT-TUN. Then you have Jin, he is closer to Maru, Ueda and Junno; with Maru and Ueda he has even gone for trips too and he himself has said that "his" KAT-TUN are Maru, Ueda and Junno, after all it is with them the ones he has been more time with since he entered the company, Maru and Jin are a extremelly funny "bully and bullied" pair XD; Jin and Ueda are like fraternal twins, they share interest and think quite simmilarly, and trust the other incredibly, and both have lots of patience with the other ^^; and Jin and Junno have been toguether since they got into JE and know each other very well, good and bad. Lately Jin and Koki have also found a kind of understandment. but all of them keep their work and personal life very well apart. And i like that they are like that, i see excesive "fanservice" and unnecessary "touchyness" in other bands; KAT-TUN get along well and work toguether even better, i ask no more

KAT-TUN Tokyo Dome concert sold out!

Popular idol group KAT-TUN Tokyo Dome concert on May 15th-22th has been sold out soon after accepting the minutes sheet. They are due to perform eight concerts on eight consecutive days with 440,000 tickets sold out immediately. Kamenashi Kazuya comments " "Honestly, neither in reality nor in my imagination i could have believed it". They will also have concerts in Kyocera Dome in Osaka, including performances which will mobilize 685,000 people.

On the 29th they will release "Break the Records - by you & for you-"They currently have promotional advertisement around the area Shibuya Station giving viewing pleasure for their fans.

It is!! It is amazing how KAT-TUN delivers always the biggest surprises and manages to beat their own records

There are previews already out of "Care" new version (not a lot of changes), kame's solo, "Water Dance" and "Sadistic Love".
