Now back to your question: A preproduced drama means that the script was completed and entirely filmed before it's aired on TV. Actually preproduced dramas in SK are seldom. What is more common is like in "doctors": It means that the script for the entire dramas is usually not completed, only the first 5 or 6 episodes have been already filmed like in this case. This implies that they are actually now shooting the episode  7 and 8 during this week. This is why it is called live shooting. This is really difficult for the actors because it means, they must work till late in the night.

The so-called advantages for that are: the writer can change the evolution of the story based on the review from the critics. However, the adaption to the liking of the public opinion can have a negative impact too because the writer can lose the center of the story.

 

Oh I see. Well... as long as the writers don't decide to make PSH end with another male except KRW, I'm fine with it. My OTP, nobody moves! lol

I don't know but I can see SW with PYG because he has a similar mentality. I don't want her to end up with YD. Sorry... but she doesn't love him at all. She has no idea what love means.

As for SH, I like the idea of SH with YD's uncle (it's from @caray). He is a womanizer, but I have the impression, he has never met someone like SH who is so innocent and childish. The uncle has a similar mentality in the end. Besides, he is such a good friend of JH.

Honestly, it happens seldom that the female lead character is paired with the male second lead. But it was only changed because of the reaction of viewers. Here, this will definitely not happen. The drama has such high ratings with the OTP.

Back in her internship days of being a Doctor she appeared to be very immature and blind to see JH rejection towards her. Also, I simply don't have the time to back read so far so I skip to pages where I'm mentioned (thanks @Kasmic) and the end. It's a shame but I simply lack the time  

To answer your question: like any human being, we love attention. So whenever a woman gives us attention, especially when we're not used to it, we will keep it going forever if we can and we see no problem with it. In Joo never posed a problem untill she tried to lay claim on JH. But as he's unwilling to lose her as a friend, he tells her no in a jokingly way. Ofcourse she doesn't get the hint because women are as daft as men when it comes to gathering clues  

The important part here is that we do this as long as we see no problem. Since JH had no other interests in women, he was okay with In Joo hovering around. He felt wanted, liked the attention and knew someone had his back whenever needed. He knew he could count on In Joo to help HJ out but he also made it clear enough he wasn't interested in any other way (like where In Joo mentioned he caught 2 birds with one stone when he asked her if she could help HJ as his friend).
He never outright denied here and so In Joo remained hopefull. A lost cause for the outsider, but an unrequited love for her.

You could ask yourself who's to blame for that. We don't know a lot of the story between JH and In Joo, though I'll bet we will soon enough. It could very well be that In Joo never truly confessed her feelings to JH although she did make some strong hints towards that idea. She might never have come out saying "I like you, be with me.".
On the other hand, it's also likely that HJ never discouraged her, telling her he wasn't interested in an earnest way. He was always joking about their relationship and it's obvious he liked her company in a friend's way. He might have been fearful he would lose her as a friend if he told her he wasn't interested in her in a romantic way.

In the end, it seems In Joo finally found the clue and made her own decision: JH wasn't interested in her and she could tell him who he was interested in instead (the scene where she walks off in the rain). The obvious answer, though we haven't heard it yet, is HJ.
That scene had me in doubts though (now that I'm analyzing anyway). If In Joo was already so sure about who JH liked, why not show that answer? It's obvious throughout the story so far that JH has been searching for HJ since he got back in Korea, that he had tried to keep in tabs, that he asked In Joo to take care of HJ. So why not show us what the answer to that question was? Is there another woman who, albeit briefly, occupied his heart? It's doubtfull, but the scene made me think about such things.

If I find it difficult to reject a woman's advances? It depends on our relationship. If she's a friend than yes. I would most likely lose a friend. I've been there and it has cost me friends (sorry ladies  ). If she's nothing to me, than no, I don't have a problem rejecting her. No matter how much I like the attention, there are some people out there who you don't want the attention from (again, sorry ladies  ).

Well, as much as I want JH to struggle a little and to see YD as a possible suitor, I would like the love triangle to be rather short. To me, it would be great if HJ decides to date JH at the end of the episode 8 because it would be great to see how the couple deals with problems and there are many:

- JMJ with the halmoni

- SW because of YD who will defend HJ

- the position of JH's father in danger

- the scandal from the past

- the reappearance of In Joo

HJ has never been in a relationship before and she needs to learn to rely on her boyfriend, to confine to him aso. Moreover, due to her childhood, she has never experienced or witnessed a normal and healthy relationship in a couple. Her father was a coward who didn't dare to argue with his wife. 

Therefore what I really wished is that YD becomes HJ's close friend because so far, she has no real friend except SH. We can't count JH because he wants something else. However, HJ needs to learn that she can have more real friends. She needs to learn to socialise.

I would actually be seriously ticked off if someone said that about me. I'm married now so I'm all taken (once again.. sorry ladies!  ) but I had a situation where some girl I had no business with said I was in a relationship while I wasn't. I was interested in her friend though. After she told her made up story about me being in a relationship, it shot all my chances with her friend (which was most likely why she did it). Eventhough I did manage to finally clear up the misunderstanding, I never got around to dating the girl.

In the end a good thing as I wouldn't have met my wife, but yeah, lies go a long way of being annoying and problematic.

Ah, still no preview as of friday. Actually it has come to a point where I realized, it might be better without a preview if it's 2 days away from airing. To pique and heighten our interest even further that we would all want to tune it so terribly. 

I would prefer if a preview should be released, at least 3-4 days prior? It's like a roller coaster ride, the building of the anticipation is usually when you're slowly reaching its peak - you see how high you're climbing, you're anticipating a huge drop coming etc. 2 Days away from airing, it's like you're already at the peak of the week and then they give you a preview but then you have sorta reached your peak of your adrenaline rush that it's like oh... I can already see the drop coming, so the anticipation drops a little. 

Haha, I hope I made some sense. 

SBS seems to be releasing minute-2min long ep teasers on the day of airing too. Not complaining really but I felt that took away a little of my anticipation. Just 10% away from my already built up 100%. haha! 

Still cuts and bts - I'll take it anytime though

Honestly, is it just me getting quite annoyed on the Official Doctors FB page (which has half-million likes atm) that keeps on posting more about the 2nd lead than the other characters and the OTP itself. 

How I wish some admin of that page could intervene with that. It's supposedly Doctors Fan Page and not 2nd lead fan page.

I'm not against YD, he's such a charmer in Doctors and I find him awkwardly cute! He has chemistry w/ HJ too but not as strong as our OTP. But to see THE SAME repetitive posts about 2nd lead is already becoming annoying just because he/she likes him more than the lead.. and thinks everyone else is suffering from SLS (which is not the case really here)

It's a good thing though that most people in the comments section are still rooting for our strong OTP.. shouting HONG HONG HONG 

I mean.. FB is supposedly a good avenue for the drama promotion esp to international fans. There are a lot of lovely BTS stills released and not all fans have seen them. Why not post them and place proper captions instead of indulging in SLS posts?

It is indeed an honor for me to respond to an Immortal. I don't think I am the right guy to answer this question as I went to a very high-end engineering school which has only 10 girls (out of 1500). I married a biology major who became a doctor, so I am very interested in this drama. My wife was only 19 when she decided to marry me, so I really did luck out. If she were older, she might be become someone like In Joo.

I will answer your question from the Korean Drama perspective. To me, as a viewer, I am amazed by how many beautiful ladies or even ahjamma who need a good man. In Witch's Romance, which I am sure @bebebisous33 watched because she recommended a German lock for the OTP when they were making out inside an unlocked house. The opening 15 minutes of that drama had a radio announcer talking about "White Day" in Korea and she wished happiness for all the ladies whose romantic life has dried up. On a supportive note, I once told a Chinese student, a young genius (I am an engineering professor now), that he should find his girlfriend in the USA because there are 35 million more young men than young women in China because of the one-child policy. He told me something that is shocking, he said all throughout Asia there are many lonely young women with no men to court. Even in China. He said all throughout Japan, Korea, China, Singapore, Thailand, etc. SW (Pretty and rich) was rejected twice in her confessions. To confirm further, before the ages of emails, I received a postcard from an Indonesian former student who wrote, "too much smoke (Indonesia has a lot of forest fires), job is boring, no marriage prospect in sight." The conclusion is, as much as men are not stepping up in this modern world, it is very hard to find a good man who is willing to marry. So JH, being in his 40s, is not unusual. His father (adopted) is from an earlier generation, so he wished JH and In Joo could have married as he was sad that In Joo got divorced. I hope I did help a little bit.

Since he had lost his first wife, I guess, he didn't want to get through a divorce and thought, it was the best solution if he acted as if nothing was happening. 

Besides, after the funeral of the halmoni, the stepmother attacked HJ and blamed her for everything and her father stood just there saying nothing hence I believe, he was just a witness and has always closed his eyes. Therefore HJ believed that her father never loved her because he never defended her in front of the stepmother. IT seems that the stepsister doesn't know anything about the abuse and it would be great if not only the stepmother but also the father would be confronted by JH so that the stepsister realises what her mother has done. I wished, her own daughter would cut ties with her for her behaviour.

@bebebisous33 I agree chingu, Hye Jung was abused by her stepmom. She displays all the signs of being abused. Hye Jung was abused verbally and physically. At first it was both until she learned to defend herself and then it became just verbal abuse. I reallly am disgusted by her father. He allowed his precious daughter to be abused and he himself would hit her but she would never show them they hurt her. What truly disgust me is the way these teachers did not see the sign that Hye Jung was asking for help but all they saw was defiance. It is so sad, that she had to come to the conclusion that her father doesn't love her. I wonder if "HE REALLY DOESN'T LOVE HIS CHILD".  But i think he did by abandoning her with grandmother , he gave her the chance to be normal again. Maybe i am looking for a father and daughter reunion later on but I wish it did not involve that b**** of a stepmother. I think the only way it can happen is if SHE IS NOT IN THE PICTURE AT ALL. All these years, that woman has never changeed at all, she still the same bitter woman who hates Hye Jung for no reason. I believe at one point in her life she wanted that woman to love her , but i thinks it is impossible with that witch involved. Look at how she showed her true colors in fromt of her own daughter and HJ's coworkers. smh smh smh smh

What is sad it that those tell tale signs are still there because Hye JUng has never addressed or verbally said she was Physically abused by her stepmom. Until she admits and seek help she will never get ove it. It will always rule her life and make it difficutl for her trust another human being.  Ji Hong and Soon Hee went to great lenghts to get her to trust them. THey also have to be careful around her so doesn't misunderstand them. I think Ji Hong knows she was abused which is one of the reason before he does anything he verbally says it so she does'nt go on defense.  Everytime  Yoon Do tried to talk her alone she would always flinch or move to the side because of reflex. It hurt my poor heart to see still acting this way.   smh smh s...... crying noww.... this is just to sad for me. I really HAte it when people grow up being abused because sometimes they themselve end up being abused.
