I have, unfortunately, never found the uncut Counterattack scenes with English subtitles () but if I remember correctly, there's a few racy scenes left out of the original version. There's nothing like actual intercourse - I don't think that's ever happening for BL unless it's...adult videos - but we get a very noticeable, up-close grope of Dachi's crotch...

If it's 80%, the following seasons will probably be even shorter. I'm honestly not looking forward to all the ex-girlfriend drama that's ahead so I hope they start it, wrap it up quick, and move on to the next part of the plot. I'm even okay with random domestic scenes. Those are my favorite anyway HAHA.

I think this novel has corrupted me too. Gosh. This is my first time reading a BL novel actually. Does it set a high bar for all BL novels? In terms story, characters & smut.

Also, OMG 80% of the novel???!!I That's 8 chapters with smut in them out of 10! Lol.. That's too exaggerating...

Welp. What bad news to wake up to. I guess the only way we'll find if they'll continue airing the series on YouTube or not is on Wednesday if they'll still follow their weekly schedule. 

But in my mind they might halt it until whatever organization finishes the inspection and lifts the ban. Simply because the audience is mostly in China, so us international fans might have to wait for a bit seeing how YouTube is not even accessible without a VPN in China, even with a VPN it's really slow.... 

Also about the smut scenes, if this is truly a BL drama they'll keep the smut to the minimum. The most they'll go is heavy make out scenes and maybe some groping but other than that nothing below the belt is ever going to get shown. This is good because the lack of smut means the less chance of something like this ever happening again (inspection). While I do enjoy smut to some degree I also do like the innocent puppy love and hope it stays that way, for the sake of the safety of this entire series. 

But thanks @alvinboi for comparing the episodes to the novel, it's always so crucial to read the pieces that were left out either by being cut or director's choice.

Guys, I watched CounterAttack because of you a few days and it was smutty (first "movie") without cuts, I watched it on YouTube with no problems.

On the side, how are the series in your countries? I mean, in here (Argentina) most of the series have heavy PG16 scenes and is no problem for anyone, they won't show full front nudity but as close as possible to that and also give some signs (i don't know if there is a word in english for what i want to say) like, only show hands, faces, etc. Pretty much like a movie, but on public tv-

So, as for me, as rotten or fujoshi I am; I would like to see something like that, you can make a lot out of that, without it being soft p0rn.

It's not really a matter of restraint. On the day before/after the show airs, I read the novel. Then, it takes one day to write the novel comparisons, depending on the number of 'holes' to fill. After finishing it, I'll need a break to do other stuff. And all these are done at my leisure time. And before I know it, another episode is on air. Lolll. The episodes come so quickly! Thrice a week!

Edit: Wow. Is Japanese one of the 3 languages? Or maybe Korean?

If season 2's ever gonna be produced.... Okay scratch that. It's bad to think about that now.

I agree 100% with what you wrote above. I just know that season 2 would be very damaging to my heart (but I'm still gonna watch it because duh it's heroin!!) so I prefer that they don't drag the drama out for too long.

Domestic scenes are also my favourite. I enjoy them more than smut scenes though I definitely wouldn't say no to the smut scenes.

Yes to both! I'm Vietnamese/Chinese, but I was born and raised in America speaking English and Vietnamese. I moved to Seoul for 15 months and studied Korean during that time, and later moved to Japan where I'm currently living. I studied Japanese in both classroom and independent settings during high school and continued studying it after graduating.

It hasn't been banned yet but all of the episodes on official channels (other than the YouTube one and the investor's) have been taken down for "investigation" (which may take who knows how long). The only source I had was LovelyThings on Wattpad but as all of the videos are gone, that was proof enough of the situation. You can find her post here. Make sure to follow the official channel on YouTube as it seems they'll be airing the remaining episodes on that for international fans - and even that isn't guaranteed. Hmmm. I think I've come to a conclusion. I don't really need smut to be shown in the series. I mean if it's not necesary to the story, why include it? Too much of smut makes the couple look like they are into being friends with benefits than lovers, right? 

But if a series is going to be full of smut, I'll rather know that first before watching it.

I guess this is my level of tolerance for smut in series. To each his own.

80% of them are smuts??? CJD, you're so lewd!!!! When she was giggling and filming those BTSs, I wonder what she had in her mind!!!!

If they cut out all the racy smuts and keep some light actions, it would be enough. And honestly, smut scene probably doesn't take much screen time anyway.

In season 1, they have to cut out a lot of cutesy stuff as well as smuts to fit the 100 chapters into 15/18 episode. I am sure even if most of the smuts are left out, there are still plenty of wonderful scenes to film.

Edit: It won't be corrupted or rotten if you think of it as GH + BLY and not Johnny + Wei Zhou. Right ?

Oh... So much smut!!! But id rather not see that much smut and have the web series continue than nothing at all! 

We, of course, have vivid imagination so might as well use it to think of the smut scenes with the help of the novel comparisons, spoilers, and translations of alvinboi, leo, skeletonworks,  etc etc.....

It took a while to catch up with all the additional pages. I'm really taken aback by all this news I've been reading. I've been rendered speechless.... I hope with all of thats going on that there is some light at the end of this tunnel. They really have a large international fan base and I hope it gives them a foundation to push forward. Let's hope for the best everyone.

Yeah, I agree with this!

Sure, the deepest, primal, part of me will always yearn for MOAR HaiYin smut but I think scenes which build on their emotions, relationship and attachment are the most important for this series. If there is smut, it is better to build the story, not smut just for smut.

That is why I am not (too) upset with the "mutual jerk off scene" being cut but rather upset with the "dialogue before moon cake scene" being skipped.

In France we have sex scenes with nudity (they show boobs and butts without any problem but hide genitals) at like 8pm on national television and it's like pg10 or pg12 (nc 16 is for erotica and nc18 for hardcore porn). So when I started watching Asian stuff and I saw it was censored nc19 for a make out session and some bare shoulders I was like wtf.?!

But these days,  well at least in Korean dramas,  they seem to incorporate decent kissing scenes. Thank God, because the awkward stiff pecks on the lips in slow motion were insufferable... 

I wish China could at least let the Internet be free in that matter .. Unleash the romance!!!
