I started preparing last night...started re-watching the earlier episodes with my best-friend. Every time jigs appeared on the screen, I was cringing. And even my friend said, "Grrr! I can't stand that guy!" LOL

Ok, for like a split second I was feeling sorry for Tolayts but then "boobs" walked up the stairs I couldn't but think "Dude! You trying to woo Tiffany." What's worse about of this is that he was oogling "boobs" in front of Mang Sol. He's not even been invited in yet he's already been kick out and is in Tiffany's dog house. Silly Tolayts. 

As for Clark and Leah just smack them both up against the head already. May be, just may be some sense will seep in and we can move on somewhat.

Although last night's episode was full of heartbreak and every scene made me want to punch the lights out of Jigs' delusional mind, Tolayts managed to redeem the episode.  His scene with the sexy lady was hilarious, with the distorted face of Tiffany on the side.Haha. 

I hate and love Aunt jack at the same time.  How on earth could Leah make herself clear that she doesn't want to get back with Jigs at all?  With Aunt Jack using Leah to win Jigs' heart and restore her relationship with her son, I don't see her giving up on the idea that things will work out with the two.

@mashedtomato I agree! It was very rude of them to tell Cleah what to do with their marriage and when to break up. It may be a fake marriage but it's still a marriage. Tita jack and jigs (OMG jack and jigs, I just realized that) shouldn't interfere with Cleah's decisions as a married couple. *sigh* 

If I was just a rich bish I'd throw stuff at my TV everytime Jigs gets delulu over Leah

With those scenes with Jigs, Tita Jack, Clark and Leah they have to be at least aware of the mood of the room whenever they talk about Jigs and Leah's past or the prospect Clark & Leah's divorce. At some point even the daftest of person would feel the awkwardness crushing their very being to the point they even question what is they're saying/implying. Where is Tita Jack in all of this? She has to know that, her son be damned, Jigs is honestly in the wrong here. When will it be time for Tita Jack to smack Jig's across the head again?

I was watching the episode last night when in the middle something went wrong with the TFC signal on our cable. So I have this one blank scene that I don't know what happened. I tried to replay the episode after it was aired and with no luck. That scene was a blank as well. So I gave up understanding the whole episode last night.

Hopefully when I watch it again later (will try my luck with catch up) it will be complete without the void.

But from the scenes I watched it's all heartbreaking and Jigs made my blood boil. Dang it! He keeps on forcing himself on Leah when she clearly told him that they can't be together, they won't be together at all.

@AlexMao Exactly my sentiments!  Aunt Jack has to realize that Jigs needs someone to wake him up and accept the reality that you can't force yourself to someone.  She has all the right to teach him some lessons about about respect and love for that matter.  I just hope that sooner than later, she'll stand for what is right and not be swayed by the guilt she has for her shortcomings as a mother.

well anyways as i was lurking at insta i saw there's are a lot of spoiler pics that came out today.. these blur photos already made me feel KILIG in an extreme way possible what more when it airs?.. its been a while since i've felt this way.. I just cant stop smiling, I'm so happy I'm gonna pee... aaarrgghh!! what have this show done to me? help??

@ranxie I didn't get to watch everything last night because TFC failed me. But from that few moments that I was watching, it was already heartbreaking. So imagine watching the whole episode.

Jigs will be as usual make your blood boil. Clark was mad. Really mad but he can't show it. It was painful and hard for him. What was happening. Same with Leah.

Oooh... Looks like they're going to go "back" to the Philippines. I wonder what will happen? Will Leah's green card will be revoked because of Jigs? Please no. Just let her come home and Clark will follow her.

What's hard for Clark is that he can feel but he cannot tell his feelings aloud to others. Because he cannot tell Jigs that he love Leah. I have a feeling that for Clark he feels like he doesn't have the right to do so. To tell them that he loves Leah. She's his wife so they need to back off (yes, tita Jack and angry bird Jigs). Unlike Leah, she can tell Jigs all she wants that they can't be together.

What I hate about Jigs is that he's getting all the credit. Yes, he told tita Jack to help Leah while she's in SF. Do things for her. But can't he realize that Leah is not comfortable with what he's doing. She's getting suffocated by him.

I guess we've reached a new major chapter in the story arc of the drama. I love how the entire first chunk, the summary of what happened previously, was done in the context of Rico's (Jigs' friend's) poem. And it is obviously a new major chapter because we have another narration. I thought that was a nice touch to say that the game has now changed or has reached another level because --

The jury is out on this one: we all hate Jigs.

Just for the sake of argument and well, fairness (I guess?), I also tried to look at opinions that are good to Jigs. I read a lengthy one, I forgot where, that said, Jigs is only in love, and that he "let Leah go to the US" despite it being difficult for him. That opinion also said his persistence in winning her back is because he loves her and they had good years together. 

To all that, I will argue:
He issued an ultimatum to Leah. He made Leah choose between going to the US and him. He has said very clearly. Once Leah steps on the plane, they're no longer anything. Leah chose to chase her dream; he did not "let her go." Trying to win her back after she has made her choice is not only futile or moot, but it is also stupid. HE issued the ultimatum. He even said he doesn't want a long-distance relationship. Now he's going back on his own word. He wants to get back together just because it suits him. 

With their years together--I think going by Jigs' story, it was about five years? Since he met her on his 20th birthday and in character charts, he is 25. With that long a relationship, it's highly unlikely that there was no love there, or that it wasn't true. I just think Leah invested all she can and when there was no return on that big an investment (i.e. support of her American dream), Leah no longer sees Jigs as an option to be her lifelong partner in her future. As Leah says in the latest episode, SHE has changed.

I don't know if we'll get to see more of Leah and Jigs' relationship dynamic back then, but I guess by now it's a moot point. But what I see from Jigs is that he wore Leah down with courting; Leah has invested; and now their paths have just naturally diverged because they didn't want the same things in life to begin with.

When Jigs started talking about how nothing will change, that he will send Leah off and pick her up back from work, or that he will defend her against hecklers in the street like before, it struck me as very shallow - the constituency of his relationship with Leah. He sees that as taking care of Leah, even his attitude towards calling in favors, as for Russell and Mang Sol's doctor's fees, etc. I think what their entire relationship was, while significant in time, was really very insignificant on the whole. 

I'm a little disturbed at Jigs' actions because they're bordering on abusive and manipulative. That time he faked the gravity of his accident to get Leah to come home and this manhandling of Leah's life, basically. Talking about her need to divorce Clark and telling Clark, "Thank you for taking care of her for me. I'm here now, I'll take care of Leah from now on" makes Leah what? A house pet? A rose bush?

But for all that, I do know a "Jigs" in real life, the ex-boyfriend of an associate. He's disruptive to the point of harrassment. I was and still remain in my stand to be harsh to him (at one point, I consulted a lawyer to help protect people in my associate's circle, which includes me against him). I'll spare the details, just what I mean to say is - yes, unfortunately, a Jigs does exist in real life and "On the Wings of Love" portrays this kind of person realistically. (Which is kind of scary)

Jigs coming to America really is the important pawn that changes the movements of all the pieces on the board. But bottomline, what I see him as is the physical representation of the real obstacle for Leah and Clark - the competition of values. It *is* true that Leah wouldn't have had made a life for herself in San Francisco if Jigs didn't tell Tita Jack to look after her, but everything Leah strived for after that initial push is on her own. It *is* true Clark and Leah wouldn't have gotten married if not for Tita Jack, but the life and teamwork they've built between them are apart from Tita Jack's influence already.

(There also lies the difference between my real-life "Leah and Jigs" and this universe's Leah and Jigs.) Leah does owe Tita Jack big time. In Filipino, it's utang na loob (http://www.oed.com/view/Entry/33838408) Leah's utang na loob for Tita Jack runs wide and deep. And her values sense will never let her live this down. 

That said, re: Tita Jack

 

The only way Clark and Leah will feel free enough to love each other is if they get Tita Jack's blessing. Which isn't about to happen because of one very important word with four letters. Unfortunately it's not L-O-V-E, but J-I-G-S. *Feel my frustrated sigh.*

I don't know if I'm right but I have this sense that we're being led towards Mang Sol finally learning the truth about Leah's secret husband. That will, of course, set off another round of complications and another battle of values. Let's see. They've still mentioned Russell, so I don't know...it might end here, or it might be a planted clue for something else that the creators are building for later.

I'm very sorry about my reaaaaallllyyy looooonnnggg post. I just have so much feelings.

Hello @SuperNastar - I believe this was taken backstage at an event, so it's Albie (Jigs), Nadine and James in their own skin in this appearance. For all that I write lengthy rants on Jigs, I find it nice that it does seem like Albie Casino who plays him has an easygoing sense of humor to him, as evidenced by the earlier posts on this thread.

wow I just saw this past few days bashers were attacking James nonstop on IG and recently Nadine replied to one of them already because they are just plainly rude... bashers need to find their lives... I dont really understand what satisfaction they get from bashing and scrutinizing other people tbh but anyways here's the trans of that pic.

BASHERS: It seems like its just recently that Nadine and James made their names on television, after making their consecutive movies -- DIary ng Panget, Talk Back and You're Dead, at Para sa Hopeless Romantic.

But Nadine  went through lots of issues, intrigues, bashings, criticizing before people liked her teleserye with James.

The young actress expresses her feelings with, "Well, this is because, when you go to showbiz, its not possible you wont have bashers."

ok I'm now watching tonight's ep.. it looks like the supposed "returning home of Clark" is not for a bad reason afterall.. it looks like his wood crafts will take him home.. the girl who asked him to create some furniture for their Cafe met him again.. she said they'll be opening a branch in PH and she wants Clark to do the furniture (tables and chairs) again. >__<

Gosh! Jigs is so annoying and Tita Jack is starting to get on my nerves. Wow! I have a lot of back reading to do since i havent opened the thread for almost 2 days. There's another TV show that's popular now and a loveteam named Aldub. I often heard about that but last sat was my first time to watch it by chance and although i didnt understand a lot coz i never saw the earlier episodes, it pushed all the kilig buttons and my mind was just about Aldub for two days! Haha Sorry guys, i know this is the OTWOL thread, just i have no one to talk to about it and now im going crazy because of two tv shows! Haha. This will be the death of me! However Now, ive regained myself and my loyalty will always be to Clark and Leah! 

Im wondering though, can a tourist visa holder get a job legally? I mean, i remember that Leah had a hard time finding one before coz she didnt possess a greencard and Tita Jack had to even find underground or unstable work options for her, and Jigs suddenly has a job interview? wHat???!!!
