Good day, everyone!

Soompi's community has always been about passionate people sharing their contents.

 

The best way to do that has been through the promotion of social media.

 

Unfortunately, as of the first week of June 2020, a US court's preliminary ruling of a case has determined that Instagram does not grant any sub-license to embed content for commercial usage.

Soompi is a US commercial domain relying on advertisement revenue meaning that from this day, it is possible that any content creator from Instagram may launch a lawsuit to protect their copyright claims against us.

From this day, in order to protect the image of our company and those who are passionate about the community:

 

-----> Instagram embed posts are strictly forbidden until further notice. <-----

 

We know this is a very lame BS rule but we cannot have that risk running on our website until the current case is 100% cleared.

 

From this day forth, moderators have the right of hiding Instagram embed posts without notice.

 

This is a terrible setback but we ask you for your due diligence and cooperation!

This is a super stinky rule! (I am not mad at Soompi. Just the situation.) I always thought that the point of posting IG links on Soompi was that the images didn't live here at all, but were just a link with a preview? 

 

It's still okay to post a link without the image, right?

Filming Korean dramas are not as easy as it may seem. It's actually a challenging process since it requires a lot of talent and effort from the cast and crew. Plus, it can take months for the actors to memorize and rehearse their lines, be ready to get in character, get their bodies in shape, and prepare their physical appearance for the role that they will portray.

But sometimes, this could lead to some actors craving for a break for some time since the whole process could bring them huge stress.

Well, perhaps this is not the case for these actors as they have participated in a lot of drama for consecutive years. Truly workaholics!
