Film Promotion Committee, 'Korean Actors 200 National Assembly Special Exhibition' photo exhibition... August 11-12

The Film Promotion Committee (hereafter, Co-pick, Chairman Park Ki-yong) will hold the 'Korean Actors 200 National Assembly Special Exhibition' on the 2nd floor of the National Assembly Hall for two days from August 11 to 12. 
 

This exhibition is co-hosted by Copic with Rep. Im Oh-kyung of the Democratic Party of Korea and the Korea Film Reporters Association, and includes Ik-pyo Hong, Chairman of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Chung Cheong-rae, Chairman of Science, Technology, Information and Broadcasting and Communication, Oh-kyung Lim, Yun-deok Kim, Assemblyman Lee Yong-ho, Assemblyman Seung-su Kim, Ye-ji Kim, Member of Parliament. It is co-hosted by National Assembly Member Ho-Jeong Ryu, Assembly Member Yoo Jeong-Joo, Assembly Member Lee Gae-Ho, Assembly Member Lee Byung-Hoon, Assembly Member Lee Sang-Hun, Assembly Member Lim Jong-Sung, Assembly Member Jeon Jae-Soo, and National Assembly Member Hwang Bo Seung-Hee. 

At the opening ceremony held on the morning of the 11th, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Park Bo-kyun and actor Dong-geun Dong, president of the Federation of Broadcasting Artists Association, will also attend and give congratulations, and former SBS announcer Choi Ki-hwan will host the ceremony. 

Through this National Assembly photo exhibition, Copic announces the re-take of the Korean film industry, which has suffered enormous damage due to COVID-19, and draws attention to support for the film industry. Following Bong Joon-ho's <Parasite>, Park Chan-wook's <Decision to Break Up> won awards at major international film festivals, further strengthening the status of K-Movies in the world. 

Chairman Park Ki-yong emphasized, "Now that the film development fund is on the verge of being exhausted, the active interest and support of the National Assembly and the government is more necessary than ever for the continued success of K-Movie."

 

Meanwhile, the 'Korean Actors Overseas Promotion Campaign (English: KOREAN ACTORS 200)' selects 200 female and male actors representing today and tomorrow of Korean cinema in a situation where the global film industry is temporarily suspended due to the 2020 corona pandemic. It started to introduce Korean actors through texts, photos, and videos. 

Following the digital exhibition in Seoul in 2021, the photo exhibition held sequentially in New York and Busan, the National Assembly exhibition was held under the name of 'Korean Actors 200 National Assembly Special Exhibition'. 

The next exhibition will continue in Seoul and New York respectively. The Seoul exhibition will be held at Art9 N-Hapjeong Artplex from August 12 to October 11, and 200 photos of 200 people can be seen at the 'Discovery Your Korea' event hosted by the Korea Tourism Organization in New York in August.
