Just some thoughts

I've just watched episode 4.. been pretty slow lately but now that I've seen it (albeit without the subs that could be quite misleading).. the only thing that could (probably) make SW turning his back on HJ if the Director had told him.. for instance .. that HJ is a traitor of some sort. Jealousy or rivalry is just too easy.. it has to be something more serious in SW's mind that it overwrites everything he feels for HJ. The Director can certainly provide some "evidence" that would incriminate HJ. He just doesn't want HJ to be caught alive by the North Korean agents that the secret might be known. But isn't HJ someone who can actually stand the torture but the easiest way is to finish him off instead.

Anyway.. episode 5 will be filled with more action. Except for his love for SH.. Hyunjun will have everything and everyone he ever trusted turning against him in order to break him once and for all.

IRIS' actions are the one turning the South and North against each other with HJ caught in the middle.

I like the face-off action between BH and KSW in the Hungary scenes, the adrenaline rush -- that was intense! And the NK Agents definitely had the upper hand against the injured Hyunjun but of course, we couldn't have the hero defeated too soon. Besides the explosion to come later, there's also the Akita action scenes between TOPand BH.. hope it'll be just as exciting if not more.. I can't wait want to see how the sliding down the dam sequence will look in the actual airing.

I haven't seen Ep 4 yet so I can't comment on the details of what was shown in Ep 1. But from the brief scenes we had of HJ and KSW's face-off interactions in Hungary in Ep 1, I could tell the intensity was stronger. Definitely enjoyed it a lot.

But in Ep 3, I don't know..I just thought everything seemed unpolished or not so refined as before.. from TOP killing off those 4 guys so easily, to HJ, SH and SW escorting that professor by just handing him over to the guys..etc. It all seemed just too easy.

Will be checking out Ep 4 tonight.. hopefully it will be better.

I don't disagree than the action in Episode 3 was lacking 'bite' compared to even just a bit of episode 1 intro but remember how HJ was saying he felt uneasy that they're handing the Professor in such an open-space area (the landing strip) but orders are orders, they went along. And this being a conspiracy...isn't it possible that the plan was breached that it's so easy for the assassin Vick to ambush the vehicle. It could be that the Professor was just a pawn to start something bigger.. that is to get HJ to do what he did? It all comes back to the Director, could be that he made his Agents go all the trouble as the perfect set-up just to get the professor killed by IRIS and knowing/unknowingly blame the NK because it made sense... {don't mind me, just being the way-ahead curious cat]

As for the Shanghai spree.. it's also possible there's someone telling Vick the details of the victim, his habits and all. Assassins are supposed to be fast and efficient, it's what they do best.. he would have studied the situation beforehand. Maybe it's the acting that could be more smooth?

Hmmm... your assumptions could be true. Everything could be just part of a conspiracy, which involves HJ when the bigger picture reveals. I guess I didn't think too much whilst watching the episode hehhe... I just absorbed whatever was shown and didn't even bother to think that there might be something else behind the picture.

On the Shanghai killing spree... ahh.. I guess I might have been a bit too picky on that. TOP's doing okay, I'm not complaining. I guess it's just the way that it was directed? I don't know.. it's just me.

I'm off to watch Ep 4 right now. Be back with comments later...

episodes 4 was intense! i feel like so much stuff is already going on so early into the series! i love the fact that it always keeps you guessing...though no production can be really perfect it just kinda feels odd that they would hand SeungRyong to those guys that easily, i was expecting for them to escort him back themselves...and i also found it funny that those guys at the hotel were chasing SW in his motorcycle with their old beat-up car! i was expecting something else given the budget they had...but oh well it's just minor stuff...

I feel so bad for HJ when he was struggling to survive and get out alive...we're not sure what prompted SW to do what he did...but i wanna believe that it's more than just jealousy i think their friendship is way deeper than that for SW to try to kill HJ for just a girl...i think this will be the beginning of a twist...episode 5 will definitely be action-packed and emotion-filled episode...

I really really refuse to believe that SW would pull the trigger on his best friend of so many years. Like you guys said, there has to be some other reason for SW to act that way. Maybe the Director threatened SW to do it and if he didn't, he would harm his family or something?

In the preview, HJ mentioned something to SH, telling her that if they (SH and SW) stayed by his side, they would be in danger. Maybe there's something behind that.. maybe HJ knew the exact reason why SW had to act that way.

As for HJ and SH, if they don't end up together in the end, I'm gonna cry. They better be...better be...

I agree too. It JUST CAN'T BE. In the previews for Episode 5, Sa-woo also tells Seung-hee that Hyun-joon is dead. I'm wondering if it's a lie, because Hyun-joon just can't die (although I'm trusting that Iris is like every other k-drama in that the lead doesn't die, the spy is immortal, etc).

I think the next epi will be more interesting, right now they are working up to that epi.

LOL it went by really fast, I have a feeling that perhaps from the start where hyunjoon and sa woo was in training in the special force then picked up by NSS was approx. half a year. Then their first project I think that would be like 2-3 months, and now to the present day it is less than a year since the very beginning of the story. I wish there was more developement for the beginning, but maybe because they really want to start talking about what happen after the assasination that is why they zoom through the beginning.

Hope epi 5 will be the best yet!

명령 (myung-ryung) means an order from your upper authorities.

and as for the technical / detailed reasons

it's because those other people, the north koreans, now KNEW HJ was in presence somewhere so the Director guy needed to kill off HJ and ordered SW too. it's kinda confusing but thats the main jist. sacrifice a man for the whole.

I can't wait for next week. I wish wed would come sooner because the cliff hanger ending is too much for me. The writers and actors have done an amazing job setting up the relationship betweenLBH and KTH. I really believe that they loved each other in that short amount of time. In most dramas i'm usually wondering why two characters fall in love.
