Yes, I had to be cajoled.  

I think some people can be BOF haters, but I want to show the good stuff about the show.  I’m not blind to the weak points, but there’s no denying the impact of this show.  It’s good to remember that the source material is a comic—so there are going to be fantastical elements, but I think there is also some good social commentary mixed in with the tropes and escapism.

 My thoughts on episode 5:

I thought the serious and dramatic moments were well done, but my favorite parts were Jun-pyo and Jan-di’s bickering (it really never ends) and Jun-pyo’s interactions with Jan-di’s family.

I think Jun-pyo is very sweet with her family, not condescending, but understanding and curious.  We’ve heard, but haven’t really seen yet, that his family is not warm and loving.  Jan-di’s family is over-the-top, and maybe annoying, but they do care about one another and really want the best for each other.   Would you rather have a picture-perfect, showcase family (who are mean and superficial), or a wacky, embarrassing family (who truly love you)?

Sigh.....that he was not able to attend the presscon. I believe that Anchor Beer will be in good hands even when he's on MS right now. Can't wait to see the CF.

1. Lee Min Ho - Before the Hallyu star rose in fame in Boys Over Flowers, he was injured (along with his friend Jung Il Woo) in a car accident. The severity of the injuries meant he lost his role in a TV drama and was hospitalized for a year. (Due to the permanent damage to his leg, he is now serving in civil duty for his required military service.) What sustained him is apparently finding a strong purpose in life and keeping an optimistic attitude. As soon as he got out of the hospital, he went right back into acting until BOF came along.

 

In a 2014 interview, he said:

"For many people, the age of 20 is when they first reach adulthood and it's a time full of ideals and dreams. But when I was 20, a lot of misfortune came along. I spent a year in the hospital and couldn't move, and I was forced to think a lot. The perception I formed at that time became the sustaining foundation for me to continue to quietly persist and never be self-satisfied."

Yes, the contract covered 2 years.  Is there any other celebrity can get  a 2-year overseas endorsement contract just before enlistment ? Be proud of him. Love and respect him more and more.

First, his love for the documentary was the reason. I hope the documentary of good content will be widely known through his appearance. I also wondered about the DMZ, which is a land in which people do not reach for 60 years.

I really find the documentary very interesting. I learned so many new things. The production is first-class and the music score is excellent. And uri Minho's talk about reproduction makes my ovaries explode, jinjja  I just hope he doesn't get ideas of his own too soon lol

Hi gtLmh, thanks for the reply. Ye, RAIN had (2) CFs, which the period of his contracts cover the term of his two-year military service. Upon discharged, his contract was still extended and renewed. I'm also proud of LMH.

I thank ICE for the English Subs. See him so normal with the two young guys, so comfortable in the tent. No airs or arrogance like I am a big star. That is the attraction of LMH. Down to earth, simple, caring and friendly.

I am really enjoying the ONDEMAND Korea with the English subs. The prologue was so entertaining with the subs and knowing what LMH is saying. Without subs we are left just looking but not really understanding what the conversation is about. Enjoy seeing his interaction with nature and the animals. It is a must see for anyone who ever liked LMH. Still have 1 and 2 to finish, taking my time to enjoy them. thank you again for the link @minoz777

gtLmh, thanks for sharing this. NICE charity deed! This is a heartfelt moment when LMH gave back to communities..... he's giving out some big love..... I know this isn't new to him because he is constantly giving back, donating funds, volunteering to help those in need, both domestically and internationally. gtLmh, thanks for sharing this.  So many 1^st & last for LMH on this project - This was his last project before his enlistment. This is the 1^st time that LMH become a documentary presenter while at the same time he took an active part in filming this documentary. This is the 1^st time also that he had gone to this place called DMZ.
