Kim Sa Ra (Lee Ji Ah) is the team leader of the divorce settlement company Solution. Kim Sa Ra was the daughter-in-law of the family behind the best law firm in Korea, but she loses everything overnight after being backstabbed by her husband. Afterwards, she transforms into a divorce problem solver who provides the perfectly tailored solution to those who were wronged and want to punish their bad spouses.

 

Dong Ki Joon (Kang Ki Young) is Kim Sa Ra’s business partner and Solution’s advisory counsel.  During his time as a prosecutor, Dong Ki Joon showcased an extraordinary sense of perseverance and intuition to the point that he earned the nickname “Shepherd.” He had the highest prosecution rate in the Southwestern District Prosecutors’ Office, but due to some reason, he steps down from his position, raising curiosity for his backstory.

Lee Ji Ah might be adding a new project to her list!

On November 3, Lee Ji Ah’s agency BH Entertainment made an official statement regarding her potential role in the new JTBC drama “Going Until the End” (literal title).

The agency stated, “Lee Ji Ah has received an offer for the new drama ‘Going Until the End’ and is currently reviewing it.”

SPOTV News also reported that Lee Ji Ah is currently in the midst of filming the new tvN drama “Lady,” so “Going Until the End” may become her next project after filming wraps up.

Lee Ji Ah is best known for her role in the hit drama “The Penthouse,” and she has starred in other popular projects including “The Ghost Detective” and “Dramaworld.”

Lee Ji Ah will reportedly lead another upcoming drama! 

On November 3rd, it was reported that Lee Ji Ah received the offer to star in the JTBC drama "Persist Until the End" (working title). The series will be one of the upcoming dramas on JTBC. 

Lee Ji Ah's agency BH Entertainment shared their statement regarding the casting news. According to the agency, Lee Ji Ah did receive the offer and she is positively reviewing it. 

If the actress decided to join, this will be her second upcoming drama. Lee Ji Ah will also lead the upcoming series titled "Lady." She will work with Lee Sang Yoon, Jang Hee Jin, Park Ki Woong, and Bong Tae Kyu. 

Meanwhile, the release date of  "Persist Until the End" is still undecided but it will exclusively premiere on JTBC.

 

 

In 2022, Lee Ji Ah decided not to appear in any dramas. Last year, the actress was busy with the new seasons of "The Penthouse 2: War in Life" and "The Penthouse 3: War in Life." She worked alongside Eugene, Kim So Yeon, Uhm Ki Joon, Yoon Jong Hoon, Shin Eun Kyung, Yoon Joo Hee, Park Eun Seok. Kim Hyun Soo, Kim Young Dae, Han Ji Hyun, Choi Ye Bin, and Jin Ji Hee.

 She also appeared in variety shows in 2021 such as "We Don't Bite: Villains in the Countryside" and "Sea of Hope."

For 2023, it seems like Lee Ji Ah will be active again in the drama scene.

Kang Ki Young to possibly have his first ever lead role in a new K-drama

Kang Ki Young will reportedly lead the upcoming JTBC K-drama "I Will Go Until the End."

"I Will Go Until the End" will showcase the main character Sa Ra's pleasant solution to justices about marriage. 

The upcoming series will be directed by Park Jin Suk ("Sell Your Haunted House," "School 2017," and "Haeundae Lovers") and written by Jung Hee Sun. 

According to reports on November 23rd, Kang Ki Young will be the main lead of the upcoming k-drama. 

Kang Ki Young's agency Namoo Actors responded to the casting reports and stated that the actor did receive the offer and he is positively reviewing to star in the series. 

Actress Lee Ji Ah also received the offer to star in the k-drama. She will reportedly give life to the character named Sa Ra.

There are no official details yet on the character that was offered to Kang Ki Young.

The premiere date of "I Will Go Until the End" is still undecided but it will exclusively air on JTBC.

 

 

If Kang Ki Young confirms his casting, this will be his first ever leading role since his debut. The actor has been active in the industry in supporting roles in different genres.

Oh Min Suk is confirmed to star in the upcoming JTBC K-drama Great Problem Solver.

According to Oh Min Suk's agency J Wide Company on November 24, the actor is confirmed to return to K-dramas with  Great Problem Solver.

This will be his first confirmed project for 2024. Oh Min Suk didn't appear in any K-dramas or films this year. Instead, he hosted the variety program Woontan Village Hotel Season 2 with Um Hong Gil and Park Sang Won.

Oh Min Suk last starred in the 2022 K-drama It's Beautiful Now with Shin Dong Mi, Yoon Shi Yoon, Bae Da Bin, Seo Bum June, and Choi Ye Bin. He also made a special appearance in the series The Law Cafe and The King of Pigs.

Scheduled to premiere on JTBC,  Great Problem Solver is the story of Kim Sa Ra, South Korea's top divorce mediator, and a cunning lawyer, Dong Ki Joon, working at the divorce settlement firm Solution. 

Lee Ji Ah and Kang Ki Young unite as a resolute team dedicated to solving their clients' tumultuous marriage problems.  

The script reading session was attended by director Park Jin Suk, writer Jung Hee Sun, Lee Ji Ah, Kang Ki Young, Oh Min Suk, Na Young Hee, Kim Sun Young, Lee Tae Gu, and Seo Hye Won.  

The actors displayed a mix of excitement and passion, leaving fans with a sense of anticipation.

Lee Ji Ah, playing the divorce mediator, exuded a commanding aura and energy that steered the flow of the drama. Her empathy-filled gaze while listening to clients' stories and hand gestures while trying to act out the action scene in the passage injected vitality into her dialogues.

Kang Ki Young embodied a solution-oriented advisor, Dong Ki Joon. His cheerful tone, dedicated approach to solving cases, and sad smile vividly brought the character from script to reality.

Lee Jia and Kang Ki-young form an Amazing Troubleshooter duo

Script reading stills are out for JTBC’s upcoming drama Amazing Troubleshooter, signalling the start of promotions before next month’s premiere. As the name suggests, the drama centers around Korea’s highest-rated problem-solving corporation. Their specialty? Resolving divorces and punishing wayward spouses. Ha, this premise sounds like it could be very satisfying, and very fun.

Lee Jia (Pandora: Beneath the Paradise) stars as Sara Kim, a team leader at the divorce solutions company aptly named “Solution.” Once the daughter-in-law of the chairman that owns the country’s top law firm, Sara lost everything she had in the wake of her husband’s betrayal. Fueled by the flames of her past, Sara now makes it her mission to assist those who have been wronged just like her.

 

Joining hands with her as business partners is Kang Ki-young (The Uncanny Counter 2), playing the legal advisor Dong Ki-joon. Back in his prosecutor days, he’d been nicknamed “Shepherd” for his unwavering perseverance and unmatched intuition. However, for reasons yet unknown, he eventually stepped down from his position and shed his prosecutor robes.

On the contrary, Sara’s double-crossing husband Oh Min-seok (The Law Cafe) seems to be maintaining his attorney career just fine. With his two-faced deceit, he’s been concealing his greedy desires under a veneer of mannerly etiquette. Hopefully, he’ll soon find himself the target of our troubleshooters — surely CEO Kim Sun-young (Queenmaker) wouldn’t let such big fish simply swim away, right? She’s described as having a tight bond with Sara, so I’d like to believe she has her back.

Rounding out our cast, we also have Na Young-hee (Gold Mask), Lee Tae-gu (Be My Dream Family), and Seo Hye-won (Alchemy of Souls) in supporting roles. The exact details of their roles haven’t been revealed yet, but I’m hoping we’ll get a variety of interesting personalities to fill out our divorce-settling, spouse-fighting squad.

Directed by Park Jin-seok (Sell Your Haunted House) with scripts written by Jung Hee-sun, Amazing Troubleshooter will premiere soon on January 31.
