The newly released teaser captures Sara Kim—who boasts a 100 percent success rate—working tirelessly to help save those who are suffering from their marriages.

 

Sara Kim confidently says, “I will help you get compensation for all that you’ve felt wronged until now.”

 

By her side, Dong Ki Joon runs around in efforts to help Sara Kim, but he appears to be slightly lacking in comparison. While getting pinned on the ground by a dangerous man, Sara Kim comes rushing in with a powerful kick to save the day.

 

The teaser ends with Sara Kim narrating, “We will move just to save people whose marriage lives are hell. Then, shall we begin?”

Lee Ji Ah plays Sara Kim, who is the team leader of the divorce settlement company Solution. Sara Kim was the daughter-in-law of the family behind the best law firm in Korea, but she loses everything overnight after being backstabbed by her husband. Nevertheless, Sara Kim has a bright personality that matches her easygoing smile and her motto of, “If I get stressed, I’m the only one who loses.” Being soft when it comes to people she loves, she even ends up in prison after being betrayed by her husband.

 

In order to be able to reunite with her child again, Sara Kim aims to either send her ex-husband to prison or to completely take him down and all his savings.

 

The newly released stills depict the eventful life of Kim Sara, showcasing how she goes from a successful lawyer at a major law firm to a prison inmate to finally the team leader of Solution. In the still of her as a prison inmate, viewers can feel her resolve for revenge through her fierce gaze.

Queen of Divorce is the story of Kim Sa Ra, South Korea's top divorce mediator, and a cunning lawyer, Dong Ki Joon, working at the divorce settlement firm Solution. 

The first teaser of the K-drama has just been released. It offers a glimpse into Sarah Kim's impeccable record as a divorce resolver with a 100% success rate, fiercely punishing malicious spouses. 

Their divorce resolution firm Solution caters to those trapped in agonizing marriages yet unable to break free. From grabbing collars and hair to even engaging in brawls, the lives of the clients are nothing short of hell.

Kim Sa Ra, the team leader of Solution, expresses her relentless dedication, stating, "I want to save those whose marriages are hell," determined to alleviate the grievances of her clients regardless of time and place.

Queen of Divorce is the story of Kim Sa Ra, South Korea's top divorce resolver, and a cunning lawyer, Dong Ki Joon, working at the divorce settlement firm Solution. 

The poster boasts Kim Sa Ra and Dong Ki Joon's confident gazes, bolstering trust in their divorce resolution prowess. Kim Sa Ra, who went from being a daughter-in-law of Korea's top law firm to a divorce resolver, and Dong Ki Joon, formerly a prosecutor at the Eastern District Prosecutor's Office and now a consulting lawyer for the resolution, exhibit intelligence and legal acumen.

The first teaser has arrived for JTBC’s upcoming Queen of Divorce, where our dressed-to-impress Lee Jia (Pandora: Beneath the Paradise) makes her grand entrance with Kang Ki-young (The Uncanny Counter 2: Counter Punch), here to solve the nation’s marital woes.

Having faced the ugly side of marriage and divorce firsthand, our impassioned Sara Kim (Lee Jia) dedicates herself to helping others to not become like her. Thankfully, though, her hard work – and swift kicks – at the divorce solutions company has been paying off and the teaser begins with the company’s success rate of 100%, promising us that they always have the perfect solution to tenaciously punish evil spouses with zeal.

 

 

But finding solutions and putting them into action isn’t a one person job and we’re next introduced to Sara’s business partner Dong Ki-joon (Kang Ki-young), the company’s legal advisor.

In the action-packed sequence, we also briefly see their feisty CEO Kim Sun-young (Queenmaker), who oversees our two leads along with fellow team members, Lee Tae-gu (Be My Dream Family) and Seo Hye-won (Alchemy of Souls).

Meeting with another client, Sara reveals the company’s mission that, “We want to save people whose marriage is a hell. That’s enough to make us move.” The teaser then comes to a close as the team rallies together to set out on their next case and Sara announces, “Let’s begin!”

Directed by PD Park Jin-seok (Sell Your Haunted House) with scripts by Jung Hee-sun, JTBC’s Queen of Divorce is slated to air in the Wednesday-Thursday slot, premiering later this month on January 31.

Before coming to Solution, he was an excellent prosecutor who had the nickname of “German Shepherd.” He picked up the nickname because of his persistence and keen intuition, but Dong Ki-Joon left the prosecutors’ office for an unknown reason. Kang Ki Young plays Sara Kim’s business partner and Solution’s advisory counsel Dong Ki Joon. With his sharp looks and bright manner of speech, Dong Ki Joon showcased an extraordinary sense of perseverance and intuition during his time as a prosecutor. He’s great at sniffing out the bad guys, and once he bites, he refuses to let go, landing him with the nickname of “Shepherd.”

After facing various difficulties since his time as a prosecutor, Dong Ki Joon was eventually scouted by Solution, raising questions about his backstory.

On his character, Kang Ki Young used key words including Shepherd, racehorse, pure-hearted, and roly-poly toy to describe his character. Although Dong Ki Joon moves fast while only looking forward, he becomes pure-hearted in the face of the person he loves. Kang Ki Young added, “Behind his sharp appearance is someone who is unexpectedly pitiful and has the spirit of a roly-poly toy that doesn’t fall over in the face of danger.”

Kang Ki Young takes on the role of Dong Ki Joon, a consulting lawyer at the divorce resolution firm Solution and Kim Sa Ra's (Lee Ji Ah) business partner. 

 

 

 

Dong Ki Joon is a man with a smart appearance, a pleasant manner of speaking, and a cool personality. During his tenure as a prosecutor, he achieved the highest prosecution rate in the Southwest District Prosecutor's Office. Known as a Shepherd for his unyielding determination and keen ability to smell out a bad person and never let go.

Dong Ki Joon experienced various twists and turns during his prosecutor days. He eventually joins Solution after being scouted and transforms into a consulting lawyer.

 

 

Although Dong races forward like a racehorse, he is an extremely pure-hearted man in front of someone he cares about.

Kang Ki Young commented, "Behind his [Dong Ki Joon] sharp appearance, he hides a sense of injustice and an unwavering spirit in the face of crisis."

In the released stills, Kang Ki Young portrays the allure of Dong Ki Joon. While he maintains seriousness during work, his playful side adds warmth to the ambiance. Furthermore, his resolute stance while apprehending wrongdoers catches attention.
