4 Saddest Moments In Episodes 3-4 Of “Queen Of Divorce”

4
by javeria

Queen of Divorce,” a drama that was initially anticipated to be fun and energetic, has turned out to be rather dark and emotional also. This week’s episodes unveiled multiple characters’ backstories and current struggles that even brought some tears. Here are four of the saddest moments from episodes 3 and 4 of “Queen of Divorce.”

Spoilers for episodes 3-4 below.
Warning: mentions of sexual violence.

When Sara Kim couldn’t meet her son

In the very first episode of “Queen of Divorce,” we learned that Sara Kim (Lee Ji Ah) lost her son in a custody battle with her ex-husband. It has been around two years since she last met or even saw her son. After months of staying away from the person she loves the most in her life—her son—she finally finds out his location through what seems like a personal detective.

She sits outside the mansion where her son is living with a few staff members. The sun goes down, but she still hasn’t found a way to get into the house. One of the staff members finally opens the door, just to threaten Sara Kim with the police, but she barges into the house without thinking of the consequences. While running up the stairs like a lunatic with tears in her eyes, she shouts his name. However, even after trying her best, she can’t meet, let alone see, her son, who is just a few steps away from her.

What made this scene sadder was the realization that the child had headphones on his ears, being distracted by a house staff; he couldn’t even hear his mother’s voice. It makes you imagine how abandoned he must feel, living in a house alone with people he doesn’t even know, away from his parents who he must have thought would protect him his entire life.

The reason behind Lee Joo Won getting married to Jang Jae Guk

Lee Joo Won’s case was introduced last week but came to its end in episode 3. Even though Joo Won (Shim Yi Young) and her daughter got their happy ending at the end of the episode, the mystery behind Lee Joo Won’s marriage was one of the saddest moments of this week.

Last week, while talking to Sara Kim, Lee Joo Won, despite trying to defend her husband in the past, is sure that her husband is guilty in the sexual assault case. She continues to explain by saying that she married her now-husband Jang Jae Guk (Lee Do Yub) because he took advantage of her while she was drunk. She didn’t love him, but she thought she had to marry him because she was carrying his child. However, she ended up regretting her decision. “I persuaded myself with lies every single day. We are a family,” says Lee Joo Won.

What can be even more upsetting than having to spend almost two decades of your life with someone who wronged you, someone who took advantage of you at your most vulnerable moment? You try to justify their crime every single day, and you look in the mirror and tell yourself that you are happy, but at the end of the day, you feel numb. No matter how hard you pretend to be happy, every night the mask falls, and you question if your decision was right.

Sara Kim’s reason behind marrying No Yul Sung

Last week, we found out that Sara Kim and Dong Ki Joon (Kang Ki Young) were ex-lovers. This week, we discovered that Sara Kim and Ki Joon had decided to run away on the night of her wedding. Seeing him waiting for Sara Kim at the airport, leaving message after message, as his bright smile faded, was quite painful to watch. But there is more to the story.

Lee Ji Ah And Kang Ki Young Lean In Close For A Kiss In “Queen Of Divorce”

JTBC’s “Queen of Divorce” shared new stills ahead of the upcoming broadcast!

“Queen of Divorce” follows the story of Sara Kim (Lee Ji Ah), Korea’s greatest divorce problem solver, and eccentric lawyer Dong Ki Joon (Kang Ki Young) as they fearlessly bring justice to “bad spouses” with their solutions.

Spoilers

Although Sara Kim and Dong Ki Joon were in a romantic relationship nine years ago, they unexpectedly broke up. Eventually, Sara Kim decided to marry No Yul Sung (Oh Min Seok), but she reunited with Dong Ki Joon again by working together at Solution. Not to mention, it appeared as if Dong Ki Joon still has feelings for Sara Kim, even remembering her coffee preferences after all these years and being the first person to save her from a raging fire.

The newly released stills capture Sara Kim and Dong Ki Joon closing the distance between each other. Unlike before when they tried to maintain a business relationship, the two gaze at each other fondly, conveying emotions they couldn’t before. One photo in particular depicts them seconds away from a kiss, raising tension. Viewers are curious to find out how the two will become close once again.

Queen of Divorce: Episodes 5-6

by Unit

This week in Queen of Divorce, the battle of the exes continues, and we get an insight into some of our characters’ motivations for joining the team of divorce experts.

EPISODES 5-6

The week begins with a comforting hug between Dae-ki and Sara. The show then reveals that Dae-ki had leukemia — not cancer like I assumed last week — and Sara ended up being his stem cell donor after his brother bailed on him. Apparently, Sara registered as a stem cell donor ten years ago, and while she was in prison, she got informed that there was a patient whose DNA matched hers. Agreeing to go ahead with the surgery meant that she could apply for parole, so it was a win-win situation for donor and patient. So that’s why Sara got out of prison early!

In the present, Dae-ki thanks Sara for saving his life, and while she’s surprised to hear that he was the patient, she’s equally grateful to him because the letters she got from the patient helped her through some dark days in prison. As to how Dae-ki obtained his donor’s information, he admits to hacking the system. He also applied to Solution as a way to repay her with said hacking skills, and it’s giving loyal puppy vibes.

While Sara and Dae-ki reminisce, Ki-joon takes to the bottle after witnessing the comforting hug from earlier and mistaking it for something romantic. “I was totally getting ahead of myself when she wasn’t on the same page,” he thinks, as he drowns himself in the Soju of Misunderstanding. Anyway, Ki-joon’s misery doesn’t last because he soon finds out that Dae-ki and Sara are not in a relationship.

Queen of Divorce: Episodes 5-6

Back to Yool-seong and his political ambitions, he uses Ji-in’s sex tape to force her to play a part in his political drama. Her role: to publicly get attacked by one of the protesters questioning Yool-seong’s candidacy since he’s the son-in-law of a disgraced assemblyman. Of course, the attack is staged, and Yool-seong jumps in to “defend” his wife. He gets slashed in the face, but he gains the title of a protective husband in the media. Sex tape aside, Ji-in goes along with the charade because Yool-seong promised to get her father out on bail if she cooperated with him.

Ji-in soon finds out that Yool-seong didn’t submit her father’s bail application, and worse, he makes a promise on live TV that he will stop his father-in-law from getting bail. Way to throw your wife under the bus to uphold your candidacy. Then again, only a fool would trust Yool-seong. Sara launches a campaign against him, and as his ex-wife, the video goes viral. Yool-seong storms Solution to scream himself hoarse, and he also tries to bargain with her using their son. But Sara calls his bluff because thanks to Ji-in, she’s already in contact with their son’s nanny — who agrees to send her pictures of the boy every month.

Yool-seong then calls for a press conference to clear the air on Sara’s allegations against him. Ji-in is also present in the role of supporting wife, but when it’s time for her to corroborate her husband’s statement, she jumps ship to team Sara. The Yool-seong Ex-wives Association is back in business! Ji-in reveals that Yool-seong blackmailed her, and his approval ratings take a nosedive. Consequently, the party nominates someone else for assemblyman, and Yool-seong is back to square one.

It’s ominous enough that Yool-seong declares that he wouldn’t forgive Sara, and it gets worse when he calls for a meeting at a shady location. On a rainy night! Against Ki-joon’s advice to wait for him, Sara goes in alone believing that Yool-seong won’t hurt his child’s mom. Her trust in the goodness of his heart is… astonishing. Then again, she only knows him as a shitty person, and not as someone with two murders on his hands.

Yool-seong makes an offer of half a million dollars in exchange for Ji-in agreeing to be the guilty party in the relationship, but Sara refuses his terms. Furious, Yool-seong attempts to strangle her, but his right-hand man pulls him away before he can do much damage. Nevertheless, he locks Sara up and leaves her alone in the building after vowing that she would never see their son again. Within a few minutes, the building is up in flames. But no, Yool-seong isn’t an arsonist, this is just an unfortunate case of lightning and electrical faults. Dammit! If only Sara watched enough dramas, she’d have known that bad things always happen when it rains in situations like this.

Yool-seong makes a U-turn on noticing the fire from afar off, but by the time he arrives, he sees that Ki-joon has already rescued Sara from the building. For all his fury earlier on, it would seem that Yool-seong still cares about Sara. But who cares about his feelings when Ki-joon exists? From chasing after Sara’s kidnappers to rushing into a burning building to save her, Ki-joon is out there being the hero we all need. Sparks are flying, y’all, and not just the fire or electric kind. Sara is beginning to realize just how much Ki-joon cares about her, and it looks like those feelings she used to have for him are resurfacing.

4 Heartwarming Moments In Episodes 5-6 Of “Queen Of Divorce”

Feb 20, 2024
by javeria

As “Queen of Divorce” only has 12 episodes, last week marked its midway point. While episodes 5 and 6 addressed darker themes, the week also presented sweet, lighthearted scenes and moments that evolved from emotional to heartwarming. Here are four scenes from “Queen of Divorce” that left viewers feeling warm and fuzzy.

Warning: spoilers for episodes 5-6  below.

Sara Kim and Kwon Dae Gi unknowingly save each other’s lives

In episodes 3 and 4, we were misled into thinking that Kwon Dae Gi (Lee Tae Gu) was romantically interested in Sara Kim (Lee Ji Ah). I was hoping that he would not end up being the second love interest as that decision would have been very out of character. Thankfully, we finally got to know why Dae Gi wanted to help his boss so much.

At the very beginning of episode 5, Dae Gi asks Sara Kim for a hug and later reveals that she saved his life around two years ago unknowingly. Dae Gi suffered from cancer—leukemia to be specific. While his brother abandoned him and left him to die on the hospital bed, Sara Kim showed up as an angel in his life. In jail, Sara Kim’s doctor informed her that she had matched DNA with a leukemia patient named Kwon Dae Gi and cell donation from her could be life-saving for the dying patient. Initially hesitant, Sara Kim later agreed and ended up saving Dae Gi.

On the other hand, Sara Kim reveals that while she was in jail and going through a tough time, she read Dae Gi’s letter, which he wrote to persuade potential stem cell donors. His words were the sunshine that she needed in her dark days.

Sara Kim finally sees her son after two years

Ms. Lee, the nanny of Sara Kim’s son No Seo Yun (Jung Min Joon), did not let her meet him in the previous episodes. However, Sara Kim kept begging Ms. Lee to at least let her talk to her son on the phone.

A few days after the incident, the nanny calls Sara Kim and tells her she cannot let her meet Seo Yun. However, she does send her photos of her son, and Sara Kim almost cries tears of happiness after seeing them because it has been two years since she last saw her son.

Han Ji In gives Sara Kim evidence on Yul Sung

There is nothing better than seeing two women working together to take down their mutual criminal. In this case, the two women are Sara Kim and Han Ji In (Lee Seo An), and their perpetrator is none other than No Yul Sung (Oh Min Seok). Ji In couldn’t be happier when Sara Kim not only helps her get a divorce but, more importantly, gets her an alimony deal. According to Sara Kim, when she got her divorce without any alimony, people questioned her and assumed that she was the reason why the marriage ended. That’s why she did not want the same to happen to Ji In.

Sara Kim’s good karma returns in the shape of some documents on Yul Sung that Ji In gives her. We do not know the content of these documents yet; however, they are surely going to play a huge role in Sara Kim getting her son back.

Dong Ki Joon and Sara Kim’s relationship development

The last moment is technically not one moment but a collection of all of the sweet interactions between our main leads. No matter how cool Ki Joon and Sara Kim try to act, their expressions clearly convey the love they have for each other in their hearts. Even if they broke up years ago, they still think about the love they once shared, and now that they are working together, their relationship is finally taking a romantic turn.

We first see that at the start of episode 5 when Ki Joon calls Sara Kim and asks her if he can come to drop off her shirt that she left in his car. She agrees, and he looks evidently happy, thinking he will meet Sara Kim again. However, things take an unexpected turn when Ki Joon sees her hugging Dae Gi. Without knowing the full context behind that hug, he leaves. His clear jealousy serves as evidence that he still loves Sara Kim.

The show could have possibly dragged out the misunderstanding plot for a few episodes where Ki Joon would think Sara Kim and Dae Gi are dating. Fortunately, after a few scenes, Ki Joon realizes that he was just misunderstanding Sara Kim and Dae Gi’s platonic relationship for something completely different. The Solution team later goes on an after-work drinking session, and Ki Joon and Sara Kim share a sweet walk where they reminisce about the people they used to be.

The day after Ki Joon saves her from the fire, he asks Sara Kim to be more careful and shows his concern, asking what if Yul Sung tries to harm Sara Kim again, to which she replies, “You can save me again.” This scene is romantic and shows how Sara Kim trusts Ki Joon with her life.

Kang Ki Young And Kim Sun Young Infiltrate A Pseudo-Religious Group In “Queen Of Divorce”

Feb 21, 2024

JTBC’s “Queen of Divorce” has shared stills from its upcoming episode!

Spoilers

In the past, Son Jang Mi (Kim Sun Young), the CEO of Solution, was able to successfully conclude a divorce that could have gone horribly wrong with the help of Sara Kim and Dong Ki Joon. Feeling a deep sense of duty, she established Solution Company, appointed Sara Kim as the team leader, and strongly recommended recruiting Dong Ki Joon as an advisory lawyer to take charge of the legal matters.

Son Jang Mi trusts Sara Kim completely. She stays out of the way and only steps in when capital is needed. When Sara Kim and Dong Ki Joon inadvertently caused chaos in a bakery during a solution operation, Son Jang Mi showed up and compensated the bakery with flour that was several times more than the original loss. She also displayed her charismatic leadership by not hesitating to raise the auction bid amount to resolve Choi Ra Hee’s (Han Bo Reum’s) case.

The released stills capture Son Jang Mi, who usually works behind the scenes, working along with Dong Ki Joon. Dong Ki Joon and Son Jang Mi, who are wearing glasses and have canes in their hands, appear to be in danger as they are captured surrounded by suspicious men.

Above all, the fact that they disguised themselves and infiltrated a pseudo-religious chapel further heightens the tension. Viewers are curious to find out their reason for infiltrating a pseudo-religion that is notorious for keeping outsiders out and whether they can successfully overcome the crisis unharmed.

Queen of Divorce: Episodes 7-8

by Unit

Between dealing with a cult leader and putting up amateurish acting performances, our divorce team has their hands full this week. Our hero gets a break in his side investigation — although it eventually goes awry. And we get a twist in one of the ongoing murder cases.

EPISODES 7-8

We resume with last week’s kiss — which wasn’t an actual kiss, as it turns out. But it’s not the action, or in this case, the inaction that counts, it’s the intent behind it. Sara justifies herself with the fact that Ki-joon used her first, and she sticks to that conclusion despite his insistence that he didn’t come to Solution to be in proximity with Yool-seong.

The rest of the team notices the friction between Sara and Ki-joon — which is made worse when she makes him step down from a case — and Hee-jin updates Yool-seong. This is welcome news to Yool-seong, but his elation doesn’t last for long because Sara and Ki-joon eventually patch up their relationship, and agree to “use each other” to send Yool-seong to prison. Lol. There’s nothing like having a common enemy to unite two conflicting parties.

Since Yool-seong is packing enemies faster than his political career can take off, it’s no surprise that Solution’s next client is one of his antis: KIM YOUNG-AH — the party representative who stood against his nomination as assemblyman. Young-ah is also against the Chayul law school project, and Yool-seong now seeks to oust her from the party.

As for her private life, Young-ah’s husband asks for a divorce based on spiritual instructions from his pastor — who is actually a cult leader — but she doesn’t want to divorce him because she loves her step-children and she can’t leave them behind. You see, she didn’t legally adopt the children after marrying their father, and it’ll be difficult to get custody if the divorce pushes through.

Once again, Hee-jin informs Yool-seong about Young-ah’s case, and Yool-seong swings into action. He teams up with Pastor Psychic Power, and they leak footage where the pastor talks about being Young-ah’s mentor and consulting with her on elections. Young-ah’s public image takes a hit for associating with a cult, and she can deny it all she wants, but it’s true that her husband is deep in the cult. The only solution to redeem her image is to get her husband out of the cult.

Jang-mi and Ki-joon go undercover into the cult and manage to gather evidence of fake miracles before they’re busted by some of the cult workers for being scammers. How ironic! Unfortunately, Young-ah’s husband doesn’t believe in the evidence — and even worse, he throws out his sick son’s medication because it is “hindering the pastor’s prayers.” This is Solution’s last straw, and they switch from trying to stop the divorce to pushing for it. Thankfully, Young-ah now has a strong case for child custody since preventing minors from getting treated due to religious beliefs is child abuse.

Pastor Psychic Power’s plan to elevate his profile by associating himself with a political leader backfires spectacularly, as his “church” comes under fire for being a cult. To get the heat off his back, the pastor announces that Young-ah is not a member of his church, and that Yool-seong is using him to get back at her. Hehe. Young-ah also announces her divorce from her cult-believer husband, and the public tides turn in her favor.

But if the pastor thinks he can walk away scot-free because his testimony helped Young-ah, he is sorely mistaken. To properly wrap up the case, Solution exposes him as a fraud to his members. But while some of his flock withdraw their membership, Young-ah’s stunned husband still remains in the cult. Sigh. You really can’t save everyone.

Back to Ki-joon’s investigation into Professor Seo, he obtains Seo’s phone from his wife, and it turns out that Yool-seong was the last person the professor spoke with before his suicide attempt. From the call recording, Ki-joon and Sara learn that Seo requested the return of his million dollar investment into the Chayul law school project. When Yool-seong didn’t bulge, a panicked Seo threatened to expose the shady dealings of the five-membered committee to the prosecution, and in return, Yool-seong sent him a blackmail video. We don’t see the video, but whatever it was frightened the professor enough to jump off the building.

Ki-joon gives the recording to a prosecutor colleague as evidence that Yool-seong was involved in Seo’s attempted suicide. Unfortunately, Ki-joon’s colleague has a gambling problem, and Chayul has him in their pockets. Chayul gets rid of the evidence, and Ki-joon’s place is raided for spare copies. Ki-joon tries to warn Sara that she’s the next target, but it wouldn’t be a K-drama if he succeeded in reaching her on the phone. He heads to Sara’s place, but unluckily walks in on the raid, and his concern is rewarded with a bottle smashed over his head. Ouch! Ki-joon will never stop throwing himself into harm’s way for Sara’s sake, will he? Thankfully, Sara arrives home in time to rush him to the hospital and nurse him back to health.

4 Well-Written And 1 Flawed Aspects Of Episode 7-8 Of “Queen Of Divorce”

Feb 27, 2024
by javeria

As “Queen of Divorce” has only four more episodes to go, the story is starting to wrap up. There were a few revelations in episodes 7 and 8, and the relationships between our main and side characters are slowly progressing as well. Most of the scenes were great; however, a few also came out looking half-baked. Here are four well-written aspects and one flawed aspect of episodes 7 and 8 of “Queen of Divorce.”

Warning: Spoilers for episodes 7 and 8 ahead.

Well-written: Sara Kim and Ki Joon’s mature relationship

Time and time again, Sara Kim (Lee Ji Ah) and Dong Ki Joon (Kang Ki Young) have proven that they are one of the most mature yet lively K-drama couples through their great communication skills. One of the most overused plot devices in romance dramas and films is miscommunication. If the characters don’t know the motive of their love interest or are unaware of the full context of a situation, then that allows the producer to drag the story longer at the expense of a weak plot. However, that’s not the case in “Queen of Divorce.”

At the end of episode 6, the audience is led to believe that Sara Kim kissed Ki Joon because she saw her ex-husband No Yul Sung (Oh Min Suk) spying on them. Now, as much as the audience would have loved a romantic kiss to happen between the main leads, the full context makes the scene less intimate. However, at the very beginning of episode 7, Sara Kim does not actually kiss Ki Joon but steps away when she hears Yul Sung’s car moving away. Of course, like any normal human being, this act leaves Ki Joon confused. She continues by saying, “You used me first,” referring to him joining Solution to learn more about Yul Sung. Before Ki Joon explains that he joined the team for her and her only, she leaves.

But before the episode ends, Ki Joon explains his position, and just like that our main leads are back on track.

Well-written: Kim Young Ah

For a few years, one thing has become prevalent in the media and that is the character of the “strong woman,” devoid of all emotions and always a Mary Sue. That’s why the character of Kim Young Ah (Son Ji Na) feels so real and well-rounded. Sara Kim meets Young Ah at first for her benefit, but we get to learn more about her when she visits Solution. However, her case is a bit different than all of the previous Solution clients. She does not want Sara Kim’s help in finalizing her divorce but prevents it.

At first, it’s easy to assume that the ultimate reason behind her request is so that her divorce would not lower her popularity among the general public, leading to fewer votes in the next election. However, her answer shocks everyone—she cares about her kids more than her career. As the kids are not biologically hers, she does not have custody of them, and a divorce means she would have to live away from them, which she could never imagine. While in most stories, stepmothers are shown to be evil, it is refreshing to see proficient politician Young Ah fighting for kids that she did not give birth to but loves more than her life.

Well-written: Kwon Dae Ki and Kang Bom’s romantic arc

Kwon Dae Ki (Lee Tae Gu) and Kang Bom’s (Seo Hye Won’s) romantic arc has been hinted at since the first episode. The clear giveaway was their banter; that’s how it always starts. However, their story has been slowly moving forward since episode 6 when Bom showed him the scars on her arm. That action showed whether she trusted him enough to let him know about her trauma. And in episodes 7-8, we saw them becoming more flirtatious. Dae Ki even shouted, “You are not my type,” which everyone would agree means he, in fact, likes her.

Plus, both Lee Tae Gu and Seo Hye Won have chemistry that helps bring the characters to life on screen. Someone should hire them as main leads in a romantic comedy soon!

Queen of Divorce: Episodes 9-10

by Unit

Our penultimate week comes with tears, heartbreak, blackmail, and death. But on the flip side, we get a much-awaited reunion, a marriage, and new information about the cases our divorce partners are investigating.

EPISODES 9-10

We resume with Yool-seong’s remarriage proposal to Sara, but she turns him down — although she ever so slightly considers accepting the proposal because of her son. Yool-seong refuses to take no for an answer, so he sends — and keeps sending throughout these episodes — a bouquet of roses to her at the office. How romantic! Ki-joon is uncomfortable with the flower delivery, but Sara downplays the situation.

Chairwoman Cha is more vocal about her disapproval of the remarriage, until Yool-seong mentions that he’s not remarrying Sara just to get party representative Young-ah on his side. He’s also doing it to separate her from Ki-joon because they are digging into his mistress’s case. This news sets off warning bells in Cha’s head, and there’s an undertone in the conversation that suggests that she had something to do with the case — and Yool-seong knows about it.

Speaking of shady cases involving the Chayul family, Ki-joon sees a picture of Sara’s mom at Mom’s first memorial service. He finds her face familiar, and CCTV footage of Mom at the prosecution office confirms that she’s the informant he spoke with regarding the mistress’s case. From the footage, Ki-joon and Sara see that Mom followed an unidentified man out of the building, and seeing how the footage is from exactly a year ago, Sara is convinced that her mom didn’t commit suicide. And it’s sad how she has to grieve all over again.

As part of his attempts to woo Sara, Yool-seong also showed up at the memorial service, and he overheard a conversation between Sara and Ki-joon about looking for a witness in the mistress’s case. This witness is the part-timer who used to work for Sara’s mom. Yool-seong’s secretary goes after the part-timer — who also has a stalking ex-boyfriend, and Solution on her heels. Part-timer is initially reluctant to get involved with Solution, but Sara eventually persuades her into sharing what she saw on the day of the mistress’s death.

Part-timer gives a recap of what we already know — she has footage of Mistress’s attempt to blackmail Yool-seong, and Yool-seong’s “handle the situation” orders to his secretary. The new piece of information we get is that Part-timer went with Sara’s mom to the prosecution office. She stopped by the restroom for a minute and when she came out, she spotted Mom getting into Yool-seong’s secretary’s car — and there was someone else in the car, but she didn’t see his face.

Meanwhile, Yool-seong instigates Part-timer’s stalker and makes him believe that she’s cheating on him with Ki-joon. The delusional idiot then accosts Part-timer on her way to give her witness testimony to the police. Midway into a “You cheated on me” and “No, I’m not cheating” argument, Stalker throws Part-timer against a wall — and then strangles her when Ki-joon calls her phone. Sigh. This was just so abrupt! One minute, you’re a witness in a murder case, and the next, you’re a victim. At this point, this drama needs to come with a “A few characters were harmed in the making of this show” warning.

Sara is devastated by Part-timer’s death which sends them back to square one with her mom’s case. Ki-joon comes over to Sara’s for comforting duties, and he’s pleasantly surprised that the passcode to her house is his birthday. One thing leads to another, and they kiss, but I’m kinda meh about it because Sara is pretty vulnerable at the moment. The following morning, Sara puts away a memento of her relationship with Ki-joon, and says yes to Yool-seong’s remarriage proposal. Am I surprised? No. Sara is sorry to Ki-joon, but she claims that it’s the best way to trick Yool-seong, get dirt on him, and send him to prison. Really, sis?

As expected, Ki-joon is really upset at the turn of events, and everyone in Solution is equally against Sara’s remarriage. But who can talk her out of walking into the lion’s den in order to expose Chayul for the frauds they are? Not me, not Sara and Ki-joon’s rainy night angst, and definitely not Chairwoman Cha’s objection. Yool-seong finds Sara’s sudden acceptance of his proposal a bit suspicious, but she claims she’s doing it because of her son.

To get Yool-seong to trust her, Sara sets up a meeting with him and Young-ah to lobby for her influence in the Chayul law school project. And Young-ah goes along with this plan as a thank you for Sara’s help with her custody suit from last week. Now that Sara and Yool-seong are “on the same page,” she makes him sign a remarriage contract. Her terms: to officially register their marriage, to put her in charge of their son’s childcare, and to pay her alimony if they get divorced. Honestly, the only good thing about this charade, for me, is the chance of Sara getting back custody of her son.
