Actor Kim Joo-heon has confirmed his appearance in the drama 'Diva of the Uninhabited Island'. On the 22nd, the agency Salt Entertainment said, "Kim Joo-heon has confirmed his appearance as 'Lee Seo-joon' in the new drama 'Diva of the Uninhabited Island.'

 

'Diva on a Desert Island' is a drama about Seo Mok-ha, a girl stranded on an uninhabited island dreaming of becoming a diva and trying to audition again after 15 years.

Kim Joo-heon took on the role of Lee Seo-joon, who started as the manager of the best diva Yoon Ran-ju (Kim Hyo-jin) in the past and is now the CEO of 'RJ Entertainment'.

'Diva on a Desert Island' is a collaboration between director Oh Choong-hwan, who directed 'Big Mouth' and 'Hotel Del Luna', and writer Park Hye-ryun of 'Pinocchio', 'While You Were Sleeping' and 'Startup'.

Including Kim Joo-heon, Park Eun-bin, Kim Hyo-jin, Chae Jong-hyup, and Cha Hak-yeon appear in the film, and they will start filming in the first half of this year.

Park Eun Bin's upcoming K-drama Diva of the Deserted Island will reportedly air on broadcast channel tvN. 

On April 21, media insiders revealed that Diva of the Deserted Island will be broadcasted through tvN. It will be part of their Saturday and Sunday K-drama timeslot and the series will premiere in the second half of 2023. 

After several reports were released, tvN gave their official statement regarding the upcoming K-drama Diva of the Deserted Island.  A representative from tvN stated, "There is still no final decision for the broadcast of Diva of the Deserted Island."

Diva of the Deserted Island will revolve around a woman who got stuck on an uninhabited island while chasing her dreams and trying to be part of an audition in Seoul. After 15 years, she got rescued and still hung on to her dream. She will then challenge herself in becoming a diva. 

It will be led by Park Eun Bin, Chae Jong Hyeop, VIXX's Cha Hak Yeon, Kim Hyo Jin, Kim Joo Heon, and Lee Re. 

The K-drama will be the next work of director Oh Choong Hwan and writer Park Hye Ryun. The two are known for creating the hit K-dramas Start-Up and While You Were Sleeping.

According to previous reports, the drama will begin filming in the first half of the year and it will air in the second half of 2023.

 

 

Many are already excited about the follow-up K-drama of Park Eun Bin after the global hit series Extraordinary Attorney Woo. Many are anticipating what kind of performance Park Eun Bin will showcase in the new series. 

Meanwhile, Park Eun Bin is nominated for the "Best Actress Award" at the 59th Baeksang Arts Awards. She got nominated for her brilliant performance in the ENA 2022 K-drama  Extraordinary Attorney Woo. Other candidates for the prestigious award are Kim Ji Won, Kim Hye Soo, Song Hye Kyo, and miss A's Suzy. The event will happen on April 28 at Paradise City in Incheon at 5:30 PM KST.

tvN’s new drama “Diva of the Deserted Island” (literal title) is gearing up for its premiere!

“Diva of the Deserted Island” is a romantic comedy following the story of a girl who drifted out onto a deserted island while on her way to Seoul to partake in an audition to become a singer. Director Oh Choong Hwan and writer Park Hye Ryun, who previously worked together on “While You Were Sleeping” and “Start-Up,” will be coming together once again for this new drama.

Park Eun Bin will be taking on the role of Seo Mok Ha, a girl who gets rescued from an uninhabited island after 15 years. In a completely new and unfamiliar world, Mok Ha takes brave steps toward her dream of becoming a singer and does not lose her laughter and hope even in difficult situations.

Kim Hyo Jin will be starring in the drama as Yoon Ran Joo, who was once a glamorous top star but is now a forgotten celebrity of the past without any fans. Although she is too afraid of failure to take on any new challenges, she faces another turning point in her life after meeting her great fan Seo Mok Ha.

Chae Jong Hyeop will play the role of broadcasting PD (producing director) Kang Bo Geol who is in charge of a music variety program. While doing volunteer work, he discovers Seo Mok Ha, who has been stranded on a deserted island for 15 years, and their fates become intertwined with each other.

Cha Hak Yeon will portray the role of Kang Woo Hak, Kang Bo Geol’s older brother and a reporter at the Social Affairs department of YGN News Agency. Kang Woo Hak is a spirited man who can’t contain his curiosity and has special affection for his family.

Last but not least, Kim Joo Heon, who was previously in talks for the drama, is confirmed to star as Lee Seo Joon, the CEO of the entertainment company to which Yoon Ran Joo belongs. He is an elite with a great background, character, and manners who has grown his one-man agency into a large entertainment company.

Director Oh Choong Hwan, known for remarkable works such as Hotel del Luna and Big Mouth, and writer Park Hye Ryun, who has presented heartwarming stories in dramas like While You Were Sleeping and Start-Up, join forces for the third time to create this new project. The cast includes Park Eun Bin, Kim Hyo Jin, Chae Jong Hyeop, Cha Hak Yeon, and Kim Joo Heon.

Firstly, Park Eun Bin takes on the role of Seo Mok Ha. Seo Mok Ha is a character who has spent 15 long years alone on a deserted island, facing the dark reality of the world. However, she gains something more valuable and ventures out into the world. The anticipation rises for the encounter between Park Eun Bin's bright and lovely charm and the character of Seo Mok Ha.

Actress Kim Hyo Jin portrays Yoon Ran Joo, the diva whom Seo Mok Ha loves. Yoon Ran Joo was once a successful singer but now finds herself in a less fortunate situation. She meets Seo Mok Ha, a genuine fan from a deserted island, aiming for a genre transformation in her life. Chae Jong Hyeop was cast on the role of Kang Bo Geol, an entertainment department PD at YGN. Unlike a typical variety show PD, Kang Bo Geol is quiet and composed with a calm disposition. He doesn't express likes or dislikes openly, and his emotions are not visible. Chae Jong Hyeop's performance is expected to bring a new transformation as he connects with Seo Mok Ha.

tvN piques interest in the rest of their 2023 drama lineup

Taking a page out of the book of ye olde Netflix, tvN has recently released a nice sizzle reel of sorts to get us pumped for the rest of their drama lineup. And yeah, it totally worked because the only thing I like more than a fun list of upcoming dramas is a fun and organized list of upcoming dramas.

So, here are the highlights, followed by the video and all its sneak peeks.

Desert Island Diva
I take it back — this one might be my most anticipated drama on the list. Come October, we’ll get to enjoy Park “Daesang Winner” Eun-bin as a wannabe idol singer. After coming back into civilization after 15 years on a deserted island (!), she moves in with the famous female vocalist whose songs gave her hope. While she was stranded. For 15 years. All alone. And survived. And because that sounds just about as weird as it gets for a K-drama rom-com setup, I am ready! Also starring Kim Hyo-jin, the steal-your-heart Chae Jong-hyeop, Cha Hak-yeon, and Kim Joo-hun, this sounds like the smash hit of 2023 in the making. And I’m gonna hold them to that.

Desert Island Diva takes the Saturday-Sunday slot after Arthdal 2 concludes.

Netflix unveils a still cut from the upcoming drama Diva of the Deserted Island featuring Park Eun Bin. 

The story revolves around a woman who is rescued from a deserted island after mysteriously disappearing 15 years ago.

Mok Ha, a young girl aspiring to become a singer, vanishes when she was in middle school and finds herself stranded on an uninhabited island. She survives in solitude for 15 years. However, for Mok Ha, being rescued from the island is just the beginning of her challenges, as adapting to the complexities of modern society presents an entirely new set of hurdles to overcome.

 

 

 

The Extraordinary Attorney Woo actress Park Eun Bin plays the role of Seo Mok Ha. Cast alongside her are: Kim Hyo Jin playing the role of Yoon Ran Joo, who Mok Ha is a fan of, and was once a top star; Chae Jong Hyeop in the role of Kang Bo Geol, the one who rescues Seo Mok Ha from the island and a PD at YGN's entertainment department; Cha Hak Yeon as Kang Woo Hak, Bo Geol's elder brother and a news reporter at YGN; Kim Joo Heon in the role of Lee Seo Joon, the CEO of RJ Entertainment who was once Ran Joo's manager. In addition, actress Lee Re will be seen as young Seo Mok Ha. 

The K-drama is directed by Oh Choong Hwan, the acclaimed director of several hit dramas, including Doctors, While You Were Sleeping, Hotel del Luna, Start-Up, and Big Mouth. 

The screenplay is penned by Park Hye Ryun, a star screenwriter with numerous high-rated series under her belt like Dream High, Pinocchio, While You Were Sleeping, and Start-Up. 

Diva of the Deserted Island will premiere in the latter half of 2023 on Netflix.

"Castaway Diva" starring Park Eun Bin confirmed to premiere next month!

Park Eun Bin is returning to the K-drama scene this year.

On September 14, tvN released the first teaser poster of the upcoming K-drama Castaway Diva. Through the poster, it was also confirmed that the upcoming series will premiere on tvN this coming October. 

Castaway Diva will be led by Park Eun Bin, Chae Jong Hyeop, VIXX's Cha Hak Yeon, Kim Hyo Jin, Kim Joo Heon, and Lee Re.

The upcoming K-drama will tell the story of a woman who got stuck on an uninhabited island while chasing her dreams and trying to participate in an audition in Seoul. 15 years later, she got rescued and still decided to pursue her dream. After being away for 15 years, the woman will struggle to adjust to the modern society. 

Castaway Diva is the collaboration work of director Oh Choong Hwan and writer Park Hye Ryun. They are also known for creating the hit K-dramas Start-Up and While You Were Sleeping. The K-drama will be produced by Studio Dragon, Wind Pictures, and Kakao Entertainment.

The upcoming series will be part of tvN's Saturday and Sunday K-drama timeslot. Aside from the broadcast channel, OTT platform Netflix will also release the K-drama to their platform.

Castaway Diva will have a total of 12 episodes and will begin airing starting next month. 

 

 

Park Eun Bin will portray the role of Mok Ha. Ever since she was little, she has been dreaming of becoming a singer. During middle school, Mokha went missing and ended up on a deserted island. She survived the island for 15 years alone. 

Many are already anticipating the follow-up project of Park Eun Bin ever since she skyrocketed to fame through Extraordinary Attorney Woo. The actress challenged herself once again with another genre.

After Castaway Diva, it is expected that Park Eun Bin will return to the new season of Extraordinary Attorney Woo Season 2. 

Park Eun Bin made a guest appearance in the recently released movie Boston 1947 led by Ha Jung Woo, Bae Sung Woo, and ZE: A's Yim Si Wan.
