larus
‘Numbers’ L X Choi Jin-hyuk X Choi Min-soo X Yeon-woo, amicable love from the first script reading The scene of the script reading for MBC's new drama 'Numbers: Observers in the Building Forest' was revealed.'Numbers: Observers of the Building Forest' (hereinafter referred to as 'Numbers'), which will be broadcast for the first time in June, showed a picture of a script reading overflowing with passion on April 27th. At the script reading site that day, director Chilbong Kim, writer Jung An, Kim Myung-soo (Infinite L), Choi Jin-hyuk, Choi Min-soo, Yeon-woo, Lee Seong-yeol, Kim Young-jae, Jung Hae-gyun, Do Yeon-jin, Kim Sun-bin, Seong Byung-suk, Choi Jeong-woo, Park Hwan-hee, Seo Eun-woo, and Jo Hee-bong showed solid acting skills and personalities. Despite the first meeting, the actors instantly immersed themselves in their respective characters as soon as the script reading began, and showed passionate performances reminiscent of the actual filming site. The tight synergy of the actors who heated up the scene with unusual character play made expectations soar. First of all, Kim Myung-soo, who played the role of Jang Ho-woo, the first and only high school graduate accountant to join Taeil Accounting Firm, the best among the Big 4 accounting firms in Korea, showed a passionate performance that was completely immersed in the character. Jang Ho-woo, who has a sense of the numbers necessary for an accountant and the ability to adapt to improvisation, is a person with a sense of justice so extraordinary that he once dreamed of becoming a police officer. As it is his first drama comeback after being discharged from the military, his deep affection and passion for this work stood out. Choi Jin-hyuk, who returned to acting, his main job after a long time, showed off his presence with his unique charisma. The only son of Taeil Accounting Corporation's vice president Han Je-gyun (Choi Min-soo), he led the play with his ever-changing acting by unraveling the role of Han Seung-jo, a perfect man with a good family, a good academic background, and even a character. Choi Min-soo overwhelmed the atmosphere of the scene with just his presence. Han Je-gyun, played by Choi Min-soo, is the deputy representative of Taeil Accounting Firm, a symbol of noblesse oblige, and Seung-jo's father. He seems to have a great personality that emphasizes the ethics and social responsibility of an accountant, but in fact, he has a charm of a twist that he is not even interested in such things. Lastly, Yeonwoo, who chose MBC drama again after the drama 'Golden Spoon', was also impressive. Yeon-woo plays the role of Jin Yeon-ah, a senior associate at Taeil Accounting Corporation and the shooter of Jang Ho-woo. The cute and lovely Jin Yeon-ah, who knows that numbers are scary, but doesn't know how scary the world is, accidentally becomes Ho-woo's teacher at the company, and she plans to present a fresh chemistry. MBC's new drama 'Numbers: Observers of the Building Forest' will be broadcast for the first time in June. https://www.newsen.com/news_view.php?uid=202304270833360410 1
larus
Kim Myung Soo, Yeonwoo, Choi Jin Hyuk, And More Immerse Into Their Roles At Script Reading For New Drama “Numbers” Apr 28, 2023 by E. Ezeji Upcoming MBC drama “Numbers” follows the story of Jang Ho Woo (Kim Myung Soo), the first and only high school graduate accountant to join Taeil Accounting Firm, which is among the Big 4 accounting firms in Korea, as he faces absurdities at the accounting firm and fights for justice. Director Kim Chil Bong and writer Jung Ahn were present at the script reading along with actors INFINITE’s Kim Myung Soo, Choi Jin Hyuk, Choi Min Soo, Yeonwoo, INFINITE’s Sungyeol, Kim Young Jae, Jung Hae Kyun, and more. Despite the reading being their first meeting, the actors instantly immersed themselves in their characters as soon as the script reading began, showing enthusiastic performances reminiscent of an actual filming site. Completely immersing himself in the character, Kim Myung Soo delivered a stellar performance as Jang Ho Woo, a mathematically talented accountant at Taeil accounting firm, who has a good memory and excellent improvisation skills, which are essential for accountants. Having once dreamed of becoming a police officer, he has a strong sense of justice. Kim Myung Soo portrayed Jang Ho Woo with the perfect facial expressions, tone of voice, and gaze as if he had thoroughly analyzed the character. Choi Jin Hyuk, who is making a drama comeback after a long break, made his presence felt with his unique charisma. With his ever-evolving acting skills, Choi Jin Hyuk three-dimensionally portrayed his role as Han Seung Jo, a man with a well-off family, exceptional educational background, and good personality who is the only son of the deputy CEO of Taeil Accounting Firm. He also showed special bromance chemistry with co-star Kim Myung Soo, who plays Jang Ho Woo, raising anticipation for their interesting relationship and storyline that will be portrayed through the drama. Choi Min Soo completely dominated his role as Han Je Gyun, the deputy CEO of Taeil Accounting Firm, a symbol of noblesse oblige, and Han Seung Jo’s father. He seems to have a great personality that emphasizes the ethics and social responsibility of an accountant, but in actuality, he is not even interested in such things. As a veteran actor, Choi Min Soo not only added to the charm of his character with skillful pace control but also played a solid role in the drama by smoothly adjusting the mood of the scene according to the situation. Spoiler Lastly, Yeonwoo delivered an impressive performance as Jin Yeon Ah, a senior assistant at Taeil Accounting Firm, who becomes Han Ho Woo’s mentor in the firm. Yeonwoo revitalized the drama by creating her own more mature version of the cute and lovable Jin Yeon Ah, who knows that numbers are scary but doesn’t seem to know that the world is scary. https://www.soompi.com/article/1583084wpp/kim-myung-soo-yeonwoo-choi-jin-hyuk-and-more-immerse-into-their-roles-at-script-reading-for-new-drama-numbers 1
larus
L and Choi Jin-hyuk partner up for Numbers by solstices Math is my biggest enemy, but I’m already way too excited for MBC’s Numbers: Watchdogs in a Concrete Jungle — or maybe that’s just my Infinite fangirl heart talking. L, a.k.a. Kim Myung-soo (Secret Royal Investigator), is finally back for his first post-military drama, and he’ll be starring alongside Choi Jin-hyuk (Zombie Detective). The office drama will center around the high school graduate Jang Ho-woo (L), who’s the only employee at Taeil Accounting Firm without a bachelor’s degree. What he lacks in certificates, though, he more than makes up for with determination and diligence. In the pursuit of numerical justice, Ho-woo will tap into his intuition and quick thinking to improvise unconventional solutions and save the day. Thankfully, Ho-woo’s not alone. He’ll have the guidance of the senior manager Han Seung-jo (Choi Jin-hyuk), who has twelve years of accounting experience. Seung-jo is the kind of guy that every mom wants as their son, and he’s certainly the epitome of perfect professionalism. With stellar results and an amiable personality, Seung-jo sounds like he’s a shoo-in for Employee of the Month twelve times a year. Seung-jo also has a prestigious background to boot, since he’s the only son of Taeil’s vice president Han Jae-kyun, played by Choi Min-soo (Extracurricular). Living by the principle of noblesse oblige, Jae-kyun has a reputation for being benevolent and honorable. However, with great power comes great responsibility, and Jae-kyun’s intimate knowledge of the company’s secrets inevitably makes him sensitive to even the tiniest of calculation errors. Rounding out our main cast, Yeonwoo (The Golden Spoon) plays the senior associate Jin Yeon-ah, who’s in charge of Ho-woo’s workplace training. Though numbers intimidate her sometimes (and I certainly relate), she’s described as an energetic and affable person who takes on the world with courage. She’ll certainly add a bright spark to all the number-crunching. The drama will also feature fellow Infinite member Lee Sung-yeol (Time of Memory) as Shim Hyung-woo, a scholarship recipient with Jae-kyun as his benefactor. Overcoming his underprivileged background with Jae-kyun’s help, Hyung-woo has since climbed the ranks to become a deal partner director at Taeil. I’m certainly looking forward to Ho-woo and Hyung-woo’s interactions — I mean, you can’t cast two Infinite members and then have them work separately, right? Show, I’m counting on you! Helmed by PD Kim Chil-bong (The Second Husband) with scripts penned by Jung Ahn and Oh Hye-seok, Numbers: Watchdogs in a Concrete Jungle is slated for a June premiere. https://www.dramabeans.com/2023/04/l-and-choi-jin-hyuk-partner-up-for-numbers/ 1
