First picture, when asked about the kissing scene,, Joseph will still blushed. It mentioned that its not that his kissing technique is overly matured but it was because Yukee found it hard to fully get into the mood for the kissing scene, that's why he kinda do it in a rough but affectionate manner to help her and to convey the message of the deep love between both characters. 

 

Second picture, it mentions that Yukee was very shy during the kissing scene. She kinda avoided his eyes. The director call for "Cut!" twice. First cut was due to angle problem. At the second cut, Yukee face became very red as she was too shy and blushed. They could only video her side view. The production team actually video edit to make their skin look more neutralise. 

 

Third picture stated: in order to make the whole kissing scene smooth sailing, Joseph made effort to Brainstorm ways and methods to get Yukee into the mood to kiss. In the end, he decided to make use of his hands and chest, pull Yukee into his embrace, allow them to be lock together tightly, so that she can have a more realistic outlook of everything and won't be that shy. And hoping she can temporarily forget about her role in real life and get into the mood as Zhao Min.

Oh woowwww. She very shy!!!  That's cute though. Thanks for translating.  Now re-watching the kiss scene with a different perspective. I can see why the scene was edit like that. But she does kissing scenes in other series fine. I think someone has a crush...kissing scenes can get awk though. Props for them making it work somehow.

Did you all realise when ZM is pretty much sassing anybody, WJ never dispute her allegation. He will protect her, stop her from being disrespectful, but never deny what she said is probably the truth. Even way before they're together, hahaha. The first one is also the only one where she's not talking back to protect WJ, so it's quite interesting that all the others are to protect and caution WJ

This is the only version so far that WJ protect MinMin before she get hurt by ZZR. The Vietnamese HSDS fans on FB compared the 2003, 2009 and this version. And it's true that WJ is protected her first, before carry on the conversation with ZZR. Well, got to protected the wife...hahaha

@LaurenPanna I know right? Even if they don't give us more lovey dovey scenes or a little groveling, at least give us some more dialogue. I am assuming the scene is cut because it was a bit choppy. I love that you included Wu Ji spilling his heart out to her. "if she marry someone else, he would protect her secretly" -- That is the definition of devotion, and I can 100% see WJ do this. I'm just happy we have fanfics as outlets to get our own closure. Thank you again for the wonderful comments, and I will try to update this weekend if time permits! <3

@LaurenPanna@chipz03  Thanks for translation I concur.  (Although it could be read as a mild complaint about Yukee's performance during the kiss scene.   )

 

Interesting that that's why he went at it so roughly.  A lot of the Bilibili videos are covered in c-fans comments and one of them said "I wonder if they banged teeth." and one responded "Must have, hurt just to look at!"

 

As much as I've grown to love the scene, I've complained before that it is crazy awkward looking, hmmm... did someone mention Yukee did better in another drama? If so could someone post a gif or link to video for comparison?

Edit: One more thing, the comments below that interview are also hilarious.. some Joseph-Yukee shippersjumping up and down and saying "Yukee has had kiss scenes before and she didn't get shy then... is is kissing someone you're attracted to that makes you shy?"   (They claim in the other show, Yukee's character initiates the kiss and it isn't shy on her part at all!)

I think that it's good the kiss scene looks a bit awkward. I mean, it's their first kiss, first kiss is always awkward. Imho it looks more believable.
