Thanks for updating, larus. Out of all the upcoming kdramas, this is the one I'm waiting  to watch! (along with Circle and  Monarch)

High quality writing, good story, good acting, directing, editing, cinematography, even background music, makes up for a good drama and it wouldn't matter who the stars are or which network  a drama will will be shown. And I don't care about ratings though I wish viewers will reward a good drama with good ratings.

But...I'm no drama purist, cos I also like to watch drama for pleasure.. but they're usually  J-dramas

Looks like broadcast rescheduled to June Fri/Sat slot (instead of May Wed/Thu), which can mean that they expect better ratings from the production (more prime time slot). If that's the case, better to wait a month extra?

 I am OK if they will try to find a good timeslot for this drama but in the same time I want to watch no matter the ratings. Just be a good drama.

We all know Wed- Thurs is the prime slot for dramas but I prefer weekend time slot, that way I can watch it. Plus this is more on mature kinda drama. I think.  And like larus, I don't care about the ratings, just want it to be well written,  and basically  all that goes into good production.

I'm still not familiar with the main cast. I better watch their works.

tvN drama series “Secret Forest” to air June, 2017

Upcoming tvN drama series “Secret Forest,” starring Cho Seung-Woo & Bae Doo-Na, is now slotted to air June, 2017 in South Korea. The drama series will be broadcast on Fridays and Saturdays at 10PM taking over the time slot after the conclusion of “Chicago Typewriter.” Filming for “Secret Forest” began January, 2017 and is still ongoing. Production is expected to finish before the drama series airs in June.

I don`t know who she is either. Maybe she is from the production team or another supporting cast.

First script reading for tvN drama series “Secret Forest”

First script reading for upcoming tvN drama series “Secret Forest,” starring Cho Seung-Woo & Bae Doo-Na, took place January 25, 2017 at CJ E&M Center in Sangamdong, Seoul, South Korea. Main cast members including Cho Seung-Woo, Bae Doo-Na, Lee Joon-Hyuk, Shin Hye-Sun and Yoo Jae-Myung all attended. At the first script reading, Cho Seung-Woo read his lines for Hwang Shi-Mok. His character is a cold and lonely public prosecutor. Bae Doo-Na read the line for Han Yeo-Jin. Her character is a bright detective with a kind personality.

We have first script reads and behind-the-scenes images for tvN’s upcoming drama Forest of Secrets, starring Bae Doo-na (Tunnel, Sense8) and Jo Seung-woo (Inside Men, God’s Gift–14 Days). Forest of Secrets is the story of a lonely prosecutor who is paired with a righteous detective to reveal the truth behind a murder case. Bring on the problem-solving!

Jo Seung-woo plays Hwang Shi-mok, a clinically emotionless prosecutor who only looks at the world with reason. He faces the reality of widespread corruption inside his prosecutors department when a series of murders becomes difficult to solve. It will be interesting to see Jo Seung-woo act with no emotion without looking stiff, a tall order for any actor. Or maybe in this case, looking stiff is the name of the game.

Bae Doo-na plays Han Yeo-jin, a non-negotiating, stubborn, but warm-hearted homicide detective. Bae hopes to show a fresh image to viewers by bringing energy and enthusiasm to her portrayal of a homicide detective.
