As recently revealed, Lee Jong Suk and Suzy to lead new drama ‘While You Sleep’.

Aside from the main actors and the writer, nothing else is confirmed about the said drama yet. Even its title, 'While You Sleep', is not final yet.

Although there's some rumor on a possible plot for the drama, it is not confirmed yet. The drama is said to revolve around a girl who can see unfortunate events that will befall others in her dreams and a prosecutor who will do everything he can to prevent her dreams from happening.

Lee Jong Suk and Suzy leading new drama with writer Park Hye Ryun is not a new thing. Both actors had already worked with the writer in the past dramas. Lee Jong Suk had worked with her on "I Hear Your Voice" and "Pinocchio" while Suzy had also worked with her on "Dream High".

Park Hye Ryun is also the brain behind other hit dramas like 'Not Alone', 'Stranger Than Paradise',  'Karl and Su-jung', 'Kimchi Cheese Smile', and 'Page Turner'. With her reputation on bringing a lot of hits to the table, it is only natural that fans are expecting another hit drama this time. And upon learning that Lee Jong Suk and Suzy will lead this new drama, fans are even more excited for this new drama to begin.

Lee Jong Suk starred in a recently ended MBC drama 'W-Two Worlds'. Suzy, on the other hand, led a recently ended KBS2 drama 'Uncontrollably Fond'.

Two of the biggest names of K-drama have met with a production team to discuss a new drama!

Lee Jong Suk and Suzy have been talking about joining ‘While You Were Asleep‘ (unofficial title), written by Park Hye Ryun. Park Hye Ryun has wrote Jong Suk’s hit show ‘Pinocchio,’ as well as Suzy’s drama ‘Dream High‘.

While sources say that they’ve discussed the drama, only Jong Suk has confirmed to be in it.

The drama is about a woman who’s horrible dreams come true and a prosecutor who helps prevent the events she predicts.

The two have had a good run of dramas, Lee Jong Suk starred in ‘W‘ and Suzy starred in ‘Uncontrollably Fond.‘ Both of which gained massive amounts of attention. While their hiatus will be cut short, K-drama fans will sure be in for a treat if they both say yes!

Suzy Bae news — Recent reports suggest that Lee Jong-suk will be sharing an on-screen romance with Miss A singer Suzy Bae. Accordingly, the actor has confirmed bagging the male lead role. However, the singer is seemingly undecided still. Read on for more details!

Yibada reports that Suzy Bae and Lee Jong-suk will likely “pair” in a new drama titled While You Were Sleeping. Apparently, the actor has confirmed his role as the leading man. However, the singer is yet to consider the offer.

Should Suzy decide to take the role, the media outlet notes that this new series will serve as a reunion for both Korean stars. Apparently, the two have worked together in many TV series since 2013.

Then a prosecutor comes along who will do everything he can to prevent the woman’s dream from coming true.

Meanwhile, there is still no specific While You Were Sleeping release date yet but it is speculated to premiere some time in 2017. Nevertheless, the former publication notes that SidusHQ will “produce the new drama series while the casting is expected to finish before the year ends.”

Recent reports confirmed that the "W" lead actor Lee Jong Suk and "Uncontrollably Fond" lead actress Bae might Suzy be starring in a new drama together.

On November 14, various industry sources said that the two are discussing joining a new drama called "While You Were Asleep" (unofficial title), written by Park Hye Ryun who previously wrote dramas such as "I Hear Your Voice" and "Pinocchio," starring Lee Jong Suk  and "Dream High," starring Suzy.

Not much is disclosed about the upcoming project yet but according to Soompi, "While You Were Asleep" revolves around a girl who can foresee unfortunate events that will happen to other people through her dreams. On the other hand, the male lead will play the role of a prosecutor who does everything in his powers to prevent the girl's dreams from turning into a reality.

Lee Jong Suk's agency IHQ confirmed that the actor will be back on the small screen with a new drama, tentatively titled "While You Were Sleep." On the other hand, Miss A's Suzy is in talks with the series as the female lead. The drama is set to air sometime in 2017.

Suzy Bae, who was last seen in Uncontrollably Fond, will soon be seen opposite Lee Jong Suk in a new drama tentatively titled as While You Were Asleep. Several industry sources confirmed to Korean media that Bae and Jong Suk will work together. However, only Jong Suk has been officially confirmed for the show.

The Asian Entertainment Industry Powerhouse, iHQ, has confirmed that Jong Suk will play the male lead in the show. The show, tentatively titled as While You Were Asleep, is about a woman who can foresee unfortunate events in her dreams and a prosecutor who tries to stop the woman's dream from coming true, according to Soompi.

Actor Lee Jong-suk was confirmed for the lead role in upcoming fantasy television drama “While You Were Sleeping.”

The actor’s casting was unveiled by the drama’s producers, iHQ, on Monday amid casting rumors involving various actors. The drama is highly anticipated due to the involvement of famed screenwriter Park Hye-ryeon, who previously wrote popular shows such as KBS’s “Dream High” (2011), and the SBS dramas “I Can Hear Your Voice” (2013) and “Pinocchio” (2013). Lee was also the star of both SBS shows.

“The production is off to a great start thanks to the involvement of Park, who is a favorite writer among television audiences, as well as the casting of Lee, who is a top actor,” said the show’s producers. “We will try our best to successfully round out the casting before 2017 and produce the best show possible.”

Additionally, idol singer-actress Suzy of girl group Miss A was also reported to be in talks to take the leading female role. Her agency JYP Entertainment said that the casting offer was being considered “positively.”

Lee Jong Suk is confirmed to be back with new drama series tentatively titled "While You Were Asleep." Reportedly, Miss A's Suzy is being wooed to be cast in the drama opposite Jong Suk.

Lee Jong Suk has recently confirmed to play the male lead in the drama. Supposedly, the male main character is a prosecutor who does everything to prevent the female main lead's dreams from turning into reality.

"While You Were Asleep" was penned by writer Park Hye Run. She has previously worked on various projects with Lee Jong Suk and even with Suzy. Park wrote the drama "I Hear Your Voice" which aired in 2013 and "Pinocchio" which aired in 2014. Lee Jong Suk starred as the main male lead in both dramas which were both great hits and earned him multiple awards in the acting industry. Meanwhile, Bae Suzy starred in her first lead drama role in "Dream High" which aired in 2010. "Dream High" was also one of Park's successful works.

There aren't much details yet for the upcoming drama series. As Suzy is still in talks for the female lead role, the casting for the drama is expected to be concluded before 2016 ends.

Well, I for one am wondering when he has his military duty.  He's coming of age to do it. :'(  But, until then, I'll support EVERYTHING!!!  This sounds like an amazing idea, but the leading lady.  I liked her in Dream High, but... I haven't really liked her in anything else.... Saw BIG, watched the very beginning of UF... but don't see her as the lead.  I am excited though.  A drama, a MV, a couple of cameos, a film--playing a role he's always wanted to play--, and now this!!!  His new management company is keeping him busy.  I wish him luck!!! Just, don't smoke so much!!! ;'(    Oh well.  I am excited for the new story!!! Onward!!! ^^ 

jUST A SIDE THOUGHT--don't Soompi's rules require more than one person be confirmed for a drama before we can make pages about it???  This thread might get frozen.  Hoping not.  

If she does take the lead, I wish her well... and hope she does better than IU in Ryeo-Scarlet Hearts.  I watched that drama... not because of her, but for the rest of the actors.  Okay.  No more bashing.  Sorry IU fans!  A Prosecutor?   He was a legal assistant in Prosecutor Princess, and became  the defendant twice in two different dramas, turned murderer, and now is going for the Prosecutor...  do you think he'll ever play a bumbling fool?  He's always a prodigy.  He plays them brilliantly, but I'd love to see him in something where he's really just a normal guy... maybe with incredible luck?!  That'd be very fun... but in the meantime, haha!!!

Exciting news! Despite recently finished their newest dramas, its seems as though Lee Jong Suk (Doctor Stranger) and Miss A's Suzy (Uncontrollably Fond) will already be returning to the small screen- together! It has just been confirmed that they will both be starring in the new drama While You Sleep written by acclaimed drama writer Park Hye Ryun.

 

While You Sleep is a supernatural drama about a young woman, played by Bae Suzy, who dreams of the unfortunate events who will befall other people in the near future. With the help of a handsome prosecutor (Lee Jong Suk), she attempts to prevent her dreams from unfolding in order to help others avoid their terrible fate.

Popular screen writer, Park Hye Ryun, who has not only written numerous dramas, but has also worked with both actors previously, will be writing the upcoming drama. In the past, she wrote Pinocchio and I Hear Your Voice, both starring Lee Jong Suk, along with Suzy's first drama Dream High.

With Lee Jong Suk and Suzy headlining While You Sleep, it is sure to be a huge hit!
