I came back the last 4 episodes @stroppyse but the story is not worth even commenting on. I mean I have seen worse weekend dramas but this drama had so much potential. I didn't even want to waste my precious time commenting. I actually have to go back and rewatch a couple of old dramas where HW and JE's actors were in to erase their roles here. DH and SJ were cute but they couldn't even make them intensely attracted to each other. I might have to go rewatch the other drama where Sung Joon was playing a young man attracted to a young woman. Where SJ here might as well be in a sageuk with how chaste those 2 are.

And that's why I haven't commented. You tried watching the TW The Perfect Match? Considering how I only watch 2 or 3 TW a year this drama made me resort to looking for an alternative weekend drama to watch.

At least I got to see KJW for a few months. He does age so well. Sure hope he comes onto Superman Returns with his kid. Since my children like the show. Otherwise please pick a better project. As for whoever plays JE- think I am finally turned off by her projects. Been in a few dramas where I don't like her characters. The grandma has also turned me off. Both of them. This drama has churned out almost no lovable characters to remember. Even MJ shouldn't be redeemed. I just skipped to one 61 episode Cdrama to watch a revenge plot- at least the 2nd female lead the evil one ended up divorced and jailed. There is no hope of that in a Kdrama. If HW ends up in jail instead of MJ and her dad the writer needs to be banned from writing.

See you guys around. I will watch the end episodes but who would really care? I am currently following the Liar and his love, Secret romance, man to man, the perfect match and that's enough for me. Plus on this intense need to make a few types of kimchi now that winter is approaching. I went from a Korean winter and spring back to autumn when I got back. Think I have totally missed summer. And fyi for a weekend drama this drama doesn't have many family meals. All I can remember are the cucumber and mayo sandwiches.

I am trying so hard not to comment on SJ's older siblings. And trying to find positives in actually seeing some of the actors I liked. I also went back to Reply 1988 to double check that I liked the actress as a mother there. I did. I do. This poor appalling writer. Does anyone have a Naver account to go write some comments there on the drama website? To say international fans think he/ she wasted a whole crew and actors.

Thanks for the heads up re HW and the Board meeting. Going to skip to the scene. Can't even remember the children's names to figure out who you werr talking about re USB.

Hahahaha. And maybe not. The streaming site I use has Father is strange instead of Father I'll take care of you on for episode 47. I can't even watch it.

I guess everyone has stopped watching this. Me, too, mostly, but now that it's ending, I checked back in for episode 47, so here is a brief recap. It's out of sequence in terms of the show, but it should give everyone the gist of what's happening, I think.

So, SJ went to jail for stock manipulation. The chairman is gleeful that with SJ out of the way, there is nothing to stop him now that he has his mother's last will naming him the successor and inheritor for everything. DH goes to MJ to ask how she can just stand by, but MJ claims it's all DH's fault that SJ is in such straits since DH interfered with MJ and SJ being together. MJ is delusional to the end. Anyway, this time, MJ sides with her father and just worries about getting the grandmother moved before anyone else can figure out where she is.

DH goes to HW to tell him about SJ's arrest. HW tells DH that they're going to have to expedite the time table. Later, HW's secretary with the faithful driver and other men break the real chairwoman/grandmother from the sanitarium where she's been held for 20 years.

SJ had given SH a usb with DH's story and pictures on it, and had asked HS to give it to his reporter friends if anything happened to himself. SS checks the usb wondering if it's porn, and is shocked to realize that DH is the true granddaughter of the Group which he then shows HS. They call DH who tells them that SJ has been arrested. They go to HW to ask for his help in helping SJ since HW owns a newspaper and still has a lot of wealth and power. Later back home, they're discussing it and thinking to hide it from the rest of the family when HJ comes in, worrying because SJ hadn't come home and wasn't reachable. HJ worms it out of SH and SS the story, and gets the rest of the story from her grandmother and DH.

The Chairman with the traitor Director and MJ decide to have the stockholders meeting to have the chairwoman declared dead and thus ensure the Chairman's position in the Group early. MJ worries about the chairwoman ever appearing again, but the Chairman cackles that she's going to be sent to an even more remote sanitarium until she dies. However, as he gives the order to move her, he finds out that she's gone missing.

They hold the meeting with the Chairman announcing that he was having his mother declared dead since it's been so long since she had disappeared so that the Group can move on with their business activities, and he produces her last will naming him the heir to everything. A number of the stockholders are in disbelief claiming that they had heard otherwise. The Chairman assures them that Han Sung Joon was just a troublemaker who was in jail right now.

HW who is still a stockholder comes late to the meeting and apologizes, saying that there was someone that he had to escort to the meeting. The real chairwoman comes in then, escorted by her bodyguards and takes over the meeting. She declares any succession documents that she may have signed until then void and says that she will continue to run the Group. The ex-Chariman protests that she's a fake and not actually his mother and the chairwoman, but the chairwoman just calmly apologizes for not having raised her child better.

As the ex-Chairman is being dragged out, he asks HW who he is and why he did it. HW calmly responds that he's Han Sung Joon's older brother. This was a good, satisfying scene actually.

Now what's left is to get SJ out of jail. I think HW is planning on taking the blame for the stock movements himself and serving jail time in SJ's stead. HW also went to see JE in the episode to thank her for almost being family to him. HW also reflects that it has occurred to him that SJ by growing up with the Hans at least was free from having to worry so much about having to be self-reliant and wondering about such things as where his next meal might come from, and so perhaps SJ had the better childhood by being with the Hans after all.

Also, HS finally caught on that the cousin switch may have been faked since the MO gets drunk on some home made alcohol on the rooftop and blurts it out to HS that she shouldn't worry about CS since he's not her kid. The rest of the family hustle her out of the room, but in the preview, it shows HS having a DNA test done, so that cat will also be out of the bag.

I see that there are wedding photos so it looks as if the finale will be the wedding of SJ and DH. I think there were also some photos floating around of HW in a prison uniform so I think he succeeds in getting SJ freed only to take his place in prison.

I wish this drama hadn't become so weird and disengaging. KJW is really too good an actor for his character in this drama. He just somehow manages to bring too much pain, too much depth of emotion to his character for what actually happens in this drama. Just my opinion. There were definitely some good moments, but overall, it felt like so much wasted talent from a mostly veteran cast.

thanks so much for the recap...i just wanted to know HW part, don't really care about SJ/DH part which i felt too much attention and airtime watsted  on these two and the actor playing SJ his acting was just mediocre  sorry to his fans..... and I agreed with you KJW talent is wasted in this ridiculous drama and I hope to see him in a new drama with a better script which does justice for his talents and experience...

@stroppyse, i'm still watching this drama, just that for the past 2 weeks, my laptop crashed and i couldn't watch live streaming..  tried to watch the subbed version but 3/4 way, something happened to the clip and i could never get back to see the last few minutes of it. Yesterday, was ready to watch it after setting up my new laptop but it was showing the presidential election programme, so i thought they were going to stop for yesterday..didn't know that they showed it after this when i saw the subbed version this morning.

I hardly post anything nowsaday, you know the reason... :)

i have to say the writing spoilt this drama...  but glad that HW saw how SS & SH cared about his biological brother.  Siblings will quarrel or fight with each other and when it comes to serious matter, they will still stand by them.  This is something that HW did not understand in the first place (maybe because he doesn't have 1 at his side then).

Episode is 45min late today.

The family finds out DH true identity

talk in the company about the other granddaughter. they haven't found out her identity yet

MJ go on her knee to beg DH but she won't accept it.

Ends with SJ getting released and come home. They see in the tv that HW confessed so he could take SJ place. Also the secretery of HW gave SJ parents something. Probably the deed of the house or something

I think this writer is plain lazy without thinking logically of her script.   i will write about this after watching the sub tomorrow to confirm what HW admitted to infront of the press as shown on today's episode.

MJ, i'm speechless that you have the nerve to ask DH to save your father when SJ is still in the prison.   The staff in their department were curious as to who is the other granddaughter.

I think HW has given back the house to the Hans?   am i right?  The secretary who passed the envelope to SJ's father, the document is the title deeds?  or what it something else?  I guess as much he will do that so that they can live comfortably and take care of his brother SW.

Very bad script writing, no flow at all. Cannot stand JE, her scene with HW is like watching 2 dramas, her character is either badly written or the actress has misinterpreted her role.

Overall, feel like watching 3 dramas being badly edited together.

KJW talent is really wasted in this drama, he really portrays his character with delicate emotions, unlike the others.

this drama was good when it first started but this latest epi was just blah, did u guys expect that from HW? i didn't!  However, that MJ woman has the guts to plead for mercy on behalf of her father & so glad DH didn't blink an eye!

i don't blame some of you for stopping to watch this but i cont'd only bc i still was curious but the writer of this drama surely made us in limbo! :( so we hv 2 more epis and i see there's a wedding, i think that's expected, i wanna see SJ/SW  and DH wedding that wld just be a bonus for me :) LOL

MJ, i'm speechless that you have the nerve to ask DH to save your father when SJ is still in the prison.    Yes, I am speechless too!  It was bizarro, MJ actually said since my father murdered your parents you know how awful it is to be an orphan so you can really understand my situation, and help out my father who killed your family and put your fiance in jail!  Frankly, I feel sorry for the actress who had to say these lines!

The staff in their department were curious as to who is the other granddaughter.

When a production is given a couple with so much chemistry it's kind of a shame that there was more time spent separating them then allowing them to be together and be a real couple.  It would seem even glass would be used to separate them with so little time left and the clock still ticking.  Although the episodes ending would come with SJ being released it would seem there would be a trade and his brother and another romance would be facing that glass as well and dealing with only a palmers kiss just like Romeo and his Juliet... Another couple who had so much potential but their love was always placed on pause because of something or another...:sweatingbullets:

Yet I continued to watch not always posting as sometimes it's hard to write about the hopes you had for a drama that started out so amazing only to end up losing it's magic along the way.  Still I like to finish what I start and I hope we are given a wedding a double one would be perfect...

Mind you, it won't cover up the weeks of waiting and hoping for some happiness to show up in both these couples lives.  Or the fact that I kind of needed MJ and her father to suffer a little more and a little longer than what they did.  Why does it seem like the suffering and evil in every drama is so much longer and so much more painful drawn out through so many episodes than what they receive in the end.  Even when evil doesn't win it still feels like it did...:(

I have this feeling that SS might be the one who will represent HW and get him out of the detention.  When SJ was in the detention centre, he blamed himself for not being able to help since his lawyer licence will only be lifted in 1 month's time.  With SH reporter's experience and SS law experience, i think they will be the one to get HW out of the case.   Let's see if my guess is right.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My 2 cents of opinions on recent episodes.  With such a capable HW, yet the writer wants to make him look like a fool.   Someone with his capability (who can get information of others easily and could get the FCG group chairman out from the nursing home) could not think of a better way to solve SJ's case but to make himself a 'hero' by 'admitting' that he is the one who used SJ to get insider information and manipulate the stock market.   wow! wow! Writer, if you do not have anything logical to write about this drama, then tell the tv station you are not able to do it.  First of all, the DNA issue that has always been on my mind when he was looking for his brother, but you make him and his secretary looks like they were primary school students who did not think of this method.   Secondly, making HW's character from an understanding person to one who will take revenge and not think of his biological brother and then turned him into an understanding person again, i'm confused.  What kind of character is HW?   Dragging on some scenes and then give some illogical scenes just make me realize what a lousy writer you are. I will make sure i do not watch any of your drama in the future if possible.

It is not only a waste of KJW's many years of experience, but it is also a waste of other veteran actors/actresses and the young stars who are eager to learn a thing or 2 from the seniors.   In Korean dramas, it is not possible to pick a drama that you will think will succeed or the plot will be logical.  We know that scripts are written and given to them only a few weeks or 1-2 weeks before filming.  When they accept a project, it is only through the synopsis of the drama and their characters.  Sometimes, they may even get the first few episodes scripts if it is ready.   Even if scripts are completed before filming, it will also depends on the director which direction he/she wants to focus on.  Thus, it is purely whether you are lucky or not.

I just want to highlight another thing, the title of the drama is 'Father, I'll take care of you'.  It is very obvious that it is referring to SJ who has called another person 'Father'.  It is pretty clear that the main character is from his POV though will not be fully focus on him.  It will also focus on other family members and characters close to him.   The drama also started with him and DH, thus there was no change of direction to move from HW to SJ.  With the 1st episode focusing on SJ/DH's character, i'm sure KJW is aware of his character in this drama.  I also believe that as an actor who loved acting, he will not mind accepting a character with less exposure like this. It is not the quantity of exposure one has but the quality of it. All of the actors/actresses have shown their best but were pulled down by the illogical and dragging plot.   I will definitely be keeping my eyes on new actor like LTH, i'm sure he has learned alot from KJW and will be close to him after this, calling him Jae Won hyung.  :)

2 more episodes..... i will miss the actors/actresses the most... :bawling:
