I have to say bravo to bearology's speech, hit me right in the kokoro. Especially when I'm emotional from finishing a translated version of Lan Yu on wattpad. Shangyin had a few similarities from this novel tbh, I have a feeling CJD was inspired from it. Not sure though. I haven't watch the movie but I don't think I'm ready for another emotional roller coaster right after. It was a good read, though. Any other BL recommendations where the uke is not the typical uke-like (too weak and wimpy) and basically a little GH-BLY like? ;-;

Is nobody else at least slightly surprise by how *ecchi ZZ's anime shirt is? xD Not hating, just didn't think he was that open to wear one in public? I guess it's a photoshoot(?) but still... I'm kind of bewildered in all honestly. Not because I'm young, but it's odd no one else seems surprise LOL so is there something I'm missing here??? Or am I just the odd one out lmao. Ah, but ZZ can wear whatever he likes. Not gonna judge anymore, sorry sorry sorry.

Well, on the bright side: DA HAIIIIII. Pictures of ZZ by the sea are my favourites. He looks so good in them. Feels like he and JY are taking pictures together. They may be apart in the eyes of people, but their hearts will never~~~ Okay, I sound too delulu already. 

Just an imo thingy but this feels like they're pushing the fact that ZZ is straight into our faces or somehing  or maybe it's just me lololol sorry xD Again, not saying a gay/bi/pan/whatever guy can't appreciate a woman– in this case, a waifu anime girl–'s body LOL. JY has liked many European women's photo and had a rather smexy phone cover in the past anyway lololol who knows this is ZZ's way of revenge 

*ecchi = softcore hentai, like panty shots and basically a little nudity here and there– I think u get the point. Tbh I kinda hate fanservices in anime, even the ones for girls, like abs and whatsoever... but well, I guess they have to put some in every anime lolololol. Too bad they lack decent animes without them these days, hah. So I'll just have to endure ;-;

Also as @boysloveismylife asked, is there a subbed version of Date With A Superstar? The first episode which is partially subbed can be found on YT... but the others weren't subbed at all. I shall crai T^T

Okay, here's my two cents-

Being a t-shirt fanatic myself, I can vouch for the fact that t-shirts are a great way of making statements. And if the person is fashion conscious, it's always a statement, always. However, in this particular case, I do not think it's their way of shoving ZZ's straight status in our face. Hugging a 'Perfect Da Hai 6' surfboard in an oceanic backdrop is a screaming statement of another type. A tee with a semi nude anime girl cannot even began to counter balance it. Also, there are some other factors that can be taken into consideration too-

1. It's a way being bold. As I don't think wearing a semi nude pic of anime boy would have been nearly as bold as this. And he can't possibly sport a d-ick pic, can he? Nudity has always been a symbol of boldness and purity. And for some reason, it's always a female body that has been chosen for the effect, irrespective of gender roles.

2. This has been selected by the production house for reasons we cannot sum up without more concrete data. 

3. This entire photoshoot was very minute and they put quite a lot of emphasis on bold colours. Like, the array of surf boards resembled rainbow colours, which also the colour of the Pride flag. Now, in this tee, apart from black, yellow, white and beige, what else we can find? Pink, blue and purple- the colours officially associated with bisexuality. 

4. Ooooor, maybe he can relate himself to that 'fcuk me, senpai' aura that girl giving out! lolololololol

That being said, I'm not saying these are the reasons behind donning that t-shirt on, but just some points my brain supplied me with when I saw the pics. And personally, I feel that that photoshoot was enough of a confirmation and declaration anyway. 

 

And relax! You were not rude or offensive or imposing or anything. You just shared your thoughts, just the way I did just now.

Movie name: Something about Red Sea

Military theme. You can see JY has cut his hair very short in recent airport photos.

JY will be a member of a military team, rescuing someone.

Originally, there was rumour that this movie will be filmed in various locations (maybe...can't remember exactly now) including overseas like Morocco for 6 months. However, yesterday I read that it will be 3 months. I am not sure 3 months in Morocco or 3 months overall but anyway, JY will be away for a while T.T

Said to have training because of its theme prior filming but I am not sure if this has been done yet or not. 

This is another high budget movie so YAY! Hopefully it will be a big hit for JY!

Poor Meow and Whale but it's ok, all for a better and brighter future for them! I hope JY will update his IG more often when he's in Morocco.

He's an otaku after all and I love that a part of him is being shown in this photo shoot. Upon seeing it, I kept saying in my head, "Really ZZ? Your otakuness is showing. I love it!" Thing in my mind. 

About the waifu thing you said, I also agree with Abbie. It's more like showing himself that here's a guy who is like everyone else, just like everyone he likes what you likes kinda thing. I find it cute on him despite the image being not so cute.

@zhouboy if you look at Bearo's post of ZZ of beach photos, you can see his otaku is coming out. He looks happy there. Wonder if he still reads manga or watches anime from time to time. And looks like he made a double look at the whale sign. I see you ZZ. @crystalclear18 is right, we can't really define them because sexuality imo is something we can't really define not like our gender that we were born with. It's up to the person to define themselves (imo)

I don't really expect for both YZ to out themselves if they are gay or bi or not, if or when they say they're in a relationship with each other or maybe later on with someone else. But I do love what they're showing us now. They don't have to even explain how they fell or are in love as long as they continue to love and help  each other out (even in secret cuz you know the ban and all.) 

Aw, we get pictures of Fengwen and I feel envy that they could do that. But even with QingYu, though. I've noticed they don't mention each other now despite being friends and all. My guess is that they're trying to break away from the "gay image" because once the public sees you as that, it's hard to change the public Perspective of you (which I don't know why but it does happen to me too on other actors and CP/Love teams) The company doesn't wanna risk it and the actor/actress has to lay low for a while. 

With that note. March seems so far away but at least its coming! Finally, a date for Demon Girl 2. Now only if ZZ gets a drama too soon. But I'm happy with his variety he did. Good luck to JY and his film and stay safe. ZZ hope you stay strong and keep on proving everyone that you have what it takes. Jiayou!

The movie is called Operation Red Sea by Dante Lam. I heard from my friend that this director tends to cast manly actor so Jingyu is definitely a perfect fit (tall & manly) and on top of that this movie is a military theme. His previous work is Operation Mekong, which starred Eddie Peng, who's also very manly 

It seems that this movie is gonna be bigger than Guns & Kidney and it's possible that it's gonna be shown here in Malaysia as well since Operation Mekong was also shown here. I don't think I'd be able to see Guns & Kidney in Malaysian cinema though.

It's a sin if Jingyu is not topless in this movie

@skeletonworks I'm not sure but I think I've seen a teaser trailer for the Operatuon Red Sea. So are they in the process of filming it now?
