aine7
I need to ask because it bothered me for a while.Disclaimer: I don't speak Korean, I am able to identify few words, few verbs, if it's past or present.. nothing more. But I really find the way Ji Mong speaks totally different from the way the other characters in the Goryeo era speak. Different phrase cadence, different rhythm, even different stance. He sounds different. It sounds more close to modern way of speaking. Maybe I'm wrong...but at least for me he sounds uncommon, unusual, let's say distinctive. So, it is just me finding the way he speaks strange?
Sharine Phinisia
............... ---> my state at my workplace. Groaning and hissing every time I was reminded of the ending. When I prepare for the presentation before my student imitate a shadow puppet of a bird and I was like STAHHHHHHPPPPPPPPPP *screaming internally* No extra episode? no Extra scene? I will wait, my dear. I'll wait.

But the brother must going back to the Palace. This way he'll see the little one every time he miss Hae Soo. Thank you. I haven't watched the finale. The queen may be evil but her son is also Wang So's son... Since Hae Seo's kid is a girl, there should be no problem about fighting for the throne. It is just sad the little girl will grow up not knowing her real father.....

When he stalked Soo in Jung's place, he hadn't received and read any letters yet, hence he thought Soo betrayed him by having baby with Jung. After reading those letters, he knew that Soo only loved him and there was no way Soo would have baby with other man. Later on after Soo's death, he told Jung to remarry. That's why he was surprised to see Jung's daughter that big, because he could calculate the time span between when he told Jung to remarry till that moment. There was no way Jung could have a daughter that age from the re-marriage. Therefore he knew right away she wasn't Jung's daughter and Soo's hairpin on her hair confirmed his suspicion that the little girl was Soo's daughter with him. MLSH ending is acceptable. I feel relieved to knowing that HS leaving the palace because of their kids. She doesn't want their child trapped in the palace. At least, she left one of her assets that's her daughter of WS to accompany WS. It would be better if WS knows about her daughter and gives her a hug to show his caring about this daughter. WHY do they like to give an open room for discussion and let audiences make their own assumptions. hisssssss, that's really makes me frustrated...

Popular Post dramu51ch0c10ve
*ALERT/WARNING:LONG POST* Good morning/afternoon/evening Eclipses! I actually wanted to comment before people start leaving this thread but I had to make sure I watched the SBS version and I had to watch it in the right mood.So it took some time for me to calm down plus I had classes in the morning. But here I am now ready to comment about the last episode. I realised that the last 2 episodes had a lot of flashbacks of characters in general.Maybe the writer wanted us to reminisce. The amount of depressing scenes that have occured in the last 10 episodes can make people forget about the good times they had.So I guess they serve as a reminder that our characters did have genuine good times together. I forgot how silly Jung was in previous episodes because of the maturity he displayed in this episode. He sacrificed his desire and his love for HaeSoo.The poor guy hid the fact that he loved HaeSoo for about 10 years!Yet,he sent letters to WangSo for HaeSoo.He let WangSo take away the urn for the sake of HaeSoo.He cared and protected her daughter even though she was WangSo's child too.The part where he took out HaeSoo's pin was one of the scenes that gave me a crying fit.Can someone please write a fanfic for this guy?He deserves a woman who mutually cherishes and loves him fully. No wonder IU said his love for HaeSoo was consistent. I was smacking/shaking my head when WangSo spied on HaeSoo and didn't read the letters until it was too late. But I can't fully blame him though.I understand how he was feeling.Jealousy can cloud one's judgement. But for WangSo's scenes in this episode,I realised that I didn't cry so much or felt sad for him. What I felt was more of resignation during his scenes.Maybe it was because I know that he loves HaeSoo so much that he becomes selfish. It consumes him.Trying to gain an audience with him and getting him to listen to an explanation would have been futile. So I was kind of ready to see him break down and wallow in regret. But I felt slightly better when, after the time jump,he made decisions which improved the lives of the people because he was inspired by HaeSoo.He still thinks of her but he uses that to make the lives of others better.Hae Soo was right. She'll never leave him.Because she will always be a part of him no matter what anyone (especially YeonHwa...don't listen to that Richard Simmons!) says.Furthermore, she did leave a part of them behind so that he won't forget her or the moments he had with her.Their love will always go on and their child is an embodiment of that. Scenes that made me cry: 1.Any scenes related to the unread/read letters. 2.When Jung and HaeSoo were reminiscing in the room. 3.When the singer sang the song HaeSoo once sang on Eun's birthday and she had the flashbacks. 4.When WangSo went crazy in HaeSoo's room looking for her. 5.HaeSoo imagining WangSo was with her when she wrote or painted on the rocks.(They looked so happy together omg this scene really broke my heart) Doubts that are still on my mind : 1.So...what was JiMong's role again? 2.Will that child ever know who her real parents are? 3.I know someone explained this before but why did Jung hide HaeSoo's letter in his envelope? Is it because having similar handwriting as a king could mean forgery and one will be punished? 4.How does that time travel/eclipse thingy work? 5.I guess we'll never know but did WangSo ever find out YeonHwa was part of the poison incident to kill WangMu? 6.And many more that I can't seem to think of right now.... My thoughts on the ending.... If you saw my posts yesterday, you would know my initial reaction.Once again I want to apologise if I offended or hurt anyone yesterday. It was my fault for being too emotional.Thank you and sorry to the mods who had to replace that picture But after a morning of lessons, reading some of your posts and tweets, looking at the casts' IG,watching LJK's Vlive videos and rewatching the SBS version,I have officially calmed down.I won't say that I am really satisfied or like the ending but I would say that I'm OK with it.I think because the SBS version ended it better.Correct me if I'm wrong(because I'm forgetful) but the International version showed the piggyback scene before WangSo faced the camera with his last line. However in the SBS version,it was vice versa. To me,both versions showed his determination but the international ending gave me the feeling that his efforts at fulfilling his last words will be futile, like they were all just memories and there is no way he can get memorable moments back. But for SBS,I got the feeling that there is hope.It seems like a slim chance but at least there is hope.I don't know.I just had different feelings for both versions.I can't pinpoint what exactly made me feel that way but I can only assume it was the order of scenes shown since nothing changed in the ending of both versions except for that.Anyone else felt the same way?Anyways,I saw this tweet: And it got me thinking."Things only return to their original place."If that is so,then it makes sense that GoHaJin's soul has to return to 21st century. But that also means that WangSo's soul will have to remain with WangSo himself in Goryeo.Even if his soul was to somehow travel to 21st century, wouldn't his soul have to return to the original WangSo in Goryeo eventually too? With this thought in mind,my sentiments for the ending is cemented.Yes,it is sad.Two souls who loved each other so deeply and passionately were never meant to be together for a long time. They will be left yearning and loving each other across time and space.Maybe it was for the best.Maybe being too close to each other for too long will endanger both so they can only love each other from afar. But at least their love is genuine, have changed them to be better and each knows that there is someone who will remember their existence til the day they die. Thus the saying,"It's better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all." I guess such a thinking is my coping mechanism to find closure and move on quickly.Til the extra scenes are broadcasted,my opinion on the ending won't change.Scarlet Heart Ryeo will always be a special drama to me despite poor editing because it made me do things I have never done before.I signed up and met you guys.I participated in group projects and religiously streamed each episode live. It's madness. Not even DOTS has made me this invested in a KDrama.I will really miss the hype around this drama. Loads of love to all of you, Afiqah

Popular Post ruizaio
The following is a rough translation of what a fan wrote after attending IU's fan meet: Spoiler At first, the script for Eun's birthday scene only said "Hae Soo sings for the princes." (See what the actors had to work with?) So she looked for songs that she thought might work, but couldn't find any. The director told her that he'd like a song that can at first celebrate the good days of a friend, and then later, when the drama gets darker, it can be used for reminiscing those good days, and asked if she could make a new song if she had time. So she wrote this song. Even in the midst of a harsh, biting wind Do you still smile because of the handful of sunshine? Even among the heartless people that pass you by in a hurry, Do you still smile because of the handful friends you have? If you ever find a place where there is no loneliness, Please take me there with you. My friend, my dear friend, thank you for being you My friend, my dear friend, thank you for being you Even if the silent sky looks different from yesterday, Who can we blame for that? Perhaps everybody in this world suffers from nightmares, How could I whine alone? [This part is more like, "I shouldn't be the one whining when everybody else probably having bad dreams, too"] There was a place I once wished to go back, But now, even my footprints look strange to me. My friend, my dear friend, thank you for being you My friend, my dear friend, thank you for being you The first verse is what Hae Soo would like to say to Wang So to comfort him, and the second verse is about Hae Soo. In fact, the second verse was the first verse, but the director liked the verse about Wang So more, so that part was included in the episodes. IU's most favorite part of the lyrics is "handful." This is because even though Wang So is a prince, all that was ever allowed to him was just a handful of things. Only a handful of sunshine, a handful of friends. She wrote this song hoping that it would comfort the poor 4th prince, so she likes the "handful" part the most. Indeed, the 4th prince was allowed only a handful of happiness that didn't even last very long. IU seems to have understood that early on during the production of this show to write this song. The reason why I was appalled by the previous translation of this song was because the emphasis on the "handful" part was gone.

He wondered if it would be included in a DVD release. Just like Jin Ki Joo (actress of CR), he confirmed that many scenes were deleted from each episode. All the more reason for a complete edition to come out... Great !! Now we have an even more valid reason to attack S.bS and the PD, the must be released both online and in the DVD. I just can't possibly understand why they decided to delete it.
