I don't think I can do the recaps tonight becos I think typing and watching the ep at the same time affected the way I understand the drama....am very sorry about this. I agree hahaha but then this is what makes it exciting lol. I usually have moments (in every kdrama) where I get annoyed because the characters wouldn't just go with the most practical and sensible decision hahahaha but then I still keep watching it. I think it's unfortunate that the kversion didn't put a lot of importance in Soo and the King's relationship, I think it would've been good if they did, the "closeness" of the king and Ruoxi (CVersion) was really amusing. Anyways, will Baek Ah die?

Is the rest of the show going to be WS continuing to persue HS and right at the end -when it's too late- she accepts her feelings wholeheartedly? And ofcourse the ending as our amazing astronomers say would be WS transported to 21st century with HS. I saw that too but I don't understand why. It's not like he's going to war or there's isn't some battle breaking out. The only thing that's happening is the assassination of the king which really doesn't mean he needs to wear an armour. Is her afraid he might be betrayed by WangYo? Because after they kill the king the war for next king will start ....

Well, I think it's more like Wang Yo is trying to get the throne by force when the Crown Prince is not present and Wang Wook is pretending to be loyal to him but later on will kill Wang Yo who is supposedly the traitor so that he can be the hero and ascends the throne.

SBS version more complete and we can relate the story. Especially the do you missed me part.betwen HS and WW. This thread run very fast. devotee
I wonder what or who gave her that impression. WS also said that he was told that he has the star to be a king only to have his face scarred on the same day (or something like that). The fortune teller be it JM or someone must be pretty good.

lebritneeey
AND THE FIGHT FOR THE THRONE BEGINS NOW!!! That was my reaction at the end of ep 12 where So and Wook was just grabbing each other's collars. I felt so bad for Soo the entire time, it's like she was such a noble lady before that and now she's been downgraded all the way to a maid? I could feel her distress though. It's understandable that after all she's been through, the only way to be safe is to not meet anymore of the prince and just live a quiet life as a maid. But we all know that's not gonna happen.. When Wook met Soo I was like TELL HIM ITS OVER hoping Soo will just brush Wook off, but oh well, Soo still loves him so I guess she won't do that.. But it's very obvious that there's a line drawn between them already and I hope Soo knows that so that she can just stop wasting time on loving Wook. I felt really really bad for So when Soo told him that she was scared of him. I mean, imagine how he felt when the love of his life told him that she was scared of him? I like how persistent he is though, like you could see he was willing to do anything just to get Soo out of her misery. I think Soo will fall for him soon, I'm guessing when she eventually realized that no matter what she tries to do, the future won't be changed. I love Woohee and Soo's interaction, makes me feel that at least Soo has a kind friend who understands what she's going through as well. Yay to friendship! Left with 8 episodes, I'm kinda expecting more intense scenes onwards since it's officially "war" and the fight for the throne is on.

The DramaFever version effing annoyed me... so much so that I pulled my laptop so hard and now my secondary monitor is in pieces on the floor. And before I clean up, I have to rant here. You see, I managed to watch the SBS version last night while on the train to work (There goes my exorbitant phone bill, kill me now). Then I checked on this thread, as usual, to see your reactions. And I couldn't understand why everyone is so pissed off! Obviously HS still has some residual feelings for WW, but the scenes with WS are so full of love from BOTH sides -- all unspoken, of course -- that I feel like my heart was bursting. WS always hiding the pain he feels for her, and smiling to make light of the situation & give her hope; HS full of worry for WS's safety and her unspoken affection for him..... I thought the episode was so well done. It makes my heart so full I could barely concentrate at work. Then..... I watched the DF version once I got back, and DARN IT! Why the heck did I do this to myself? The edit was so bad it should be illegal. I cannot recapture the feelings I got from SBS version at all. They made her into pathetic shell of a girl pining for lost love and blind towards the present (Unlike in SBS version, where she acknowledges the love she still feels for WW but cannot deny the pull she feels towards WS, and also doing what she can to protect both of them from herself, out of love and concern she feels for them). The changes don't seem so major, a few lines here and there, but what a difference it made... (Or is it just me?) Anyway, gonna clean up. MLSHR is really destroying my life, piece by piece. Ouch. Sorry for ur monitor. 2 hours ago, qwenli said: Becos depending on which version u see, u will feel different.According to @liddi on the previous page, there were 5 additional scenes in the sbs version. Popular Post sooji28
Okay, now i get why some people here frustrated with last night episode. Last night i watched the international version on One Channel (South East Asia Region). And few hours ago, i watched the SBS version with subtitle. And the truth, i find the international version is somewhat had crappy editing (but i enjoyed it). I didn't feel the feeling of Hae Soo's fragile heart towards Wang So, like in the SBS version. The SBS version is so beautiful, yet makes my heart flutter when Hae Soo's mind said (just like @liddi post few post ago): [36:33 to 36:37] You must stop caring about me. [36:43 to 36:47] Please, don't abandon who you are for me. I can feel her feelings towards So. She's already falling for him, but can not follow his obsessiveness about her. Because she knew, So is meant to be King. If So leaves the palace (and i saw Hae Soo is willingly say yes to Wang So's proposal), she CHANGES the future. The back hug scene is so beautiful. Hae Soo longing for "I miss you" words from Wang Wook. But instead, she get it from Wang So without her asking. The music, the instrumental back sound, and the scene placement from the SBS version are way much better from the international version. Because it puts everything in the right place. There are no jumping scene. But yes, i admit, the pace is a little bit fast. Well, i have to say this: Spoiler because i'm working at movies and tv's industry. So, i definitely know if one show is boring, slow, or exiting, etc. The production crew (or i have to say the director/ or the producers) seem a little bit rushed finishing the video editing because they want to air it simultaneosly at SE Asia, and China. So, like i said, i'm going to stay tune for this drama till it ends.
TheRoadNotTaken
Wang Yo was watching Wang Wook wearing the armor as if it was part of their plan, I don't think Wang Wook is going to betray Wang Yo immediately, he'll stay on his side until there's no one to compete with
pixiebelle
I cannot be convinced that Hae Soo has any romantic feelings for Wang So ! I am watching international version and I will take whatever the team has baked for international viewers. This is already Ep 12 : Hae Soo - 1 year of suffering as a watermaid. Finally, Prince Wook got the guts to go meet her face to face (He didn't appear when she was due to be hung by the King; He walked away without talking to her when she was kneeling in the rain). Hae Soo just want to know if Prince Wook missed her !! And his answer "Yes, every minute". And Hae Soo, 'OK that's enough" ---> clearly Hae Soo is still deeply in love with Prince Wook despite him abandoning her. When Wang So returned after 1 year, he had a minor fallout with the King for not keeping his end of the deal. Meaning WS agreed to leave and be an envoy in exchange that the King will allow HS to continue as a court maid. Note HS's reaction when she met WS again and when he proposed marriage --> this girl is not in love with WS ! Not yet anyway and this is already ep 12. Are they going throw in a sudden change ? {Illogical but I will close1eye : Did HS ever brew right tea for King so JM summoned her back?, how did the King has any inkling that HS is similar as JM ie. from the future. The King said to HS he will treat her like a daughter just like Lady Oh did ?!} So many comments saying C-version 35 episodes is a politics drama and not romance. Scarlet Heart is a romance drama then ? Both the love arcs are developing poorly - I cannot root for HS-WW {Can't stand WW} and HS-WS is not taking off.
Popular Post zi4r
Taking a break from mooning over HS-WS moments... Now, lemme take a moment to relish the badassery of masked-WangSo in this episode. Gosh, I didn't realize how much I missed the mask!!! The removing of the mask might have unleashed the potential of WS, but the mask itself unleashes the already-unmatched on-screen charisma & sex appeal of LJG. This man is gonna be the death of me. **hyperventilate & try to re-gather my scattered brain-cells** Not to mention this BAMF moment... Quote King utters a royal command. Wang So: I refuse to do so. ... This is as close to "No can do, and GFYS" as a King would ever get from his subject. Quote WS: If you want to keep one more ally for the Crown Prince, do not tie a noose around my neck. Actually, no need for him to say a thing. The look in his eyes said it all... Such defiance! Oh God, his eyes are like shards of glass --- stone-cold, piercing & so so powerful in this scene. And of course, my favorite burn of the night: Quote WS to WW: Your uselessness makes me shake in anger.
Popular Post ceda209
Anybody who doesn't see that HS is in love with WS must not be watching the same kdrama as me haha. HS is in love with WS. She just hasn't realize it...yet. I know it's frustrating because we're at episode 12 & dying to see HS reciprocate WS's affection. The love like HS's is very deep. You don't know why you care & worry about someone else when you think/believe you already love someone else. Make sense??? HS's heart is already running towards HS, but her mind is telling her she loves WW. The heart usually always wins because it wants what it wants. WW is showing his true colors. My once perfect prince, ANDWAEEEEE! Can I just add how much I appreciate seeing LJK in historical dramas. I don't know how the historical genre would be like without talents like LJK. He just fits so perfectly.
Popular Post dramu51ch0c10ve
Watched the episode again twice (both international and korean version).I should have waited for the subs to come out before posting something here.Yesterday night I was trying to figure out the plot and as a result, didnt pay much attention to their facial expressions.Omg HaeSoo I'm so sorry Clearly I've misjudged her last night.I shouldnt feel disappointed with her at all.In fact, after watching the two versions on tv,I realised she is going towards So and she has clearly started to close the door on Wook.It takes a tv to enlarge the video so that I can see her facial expressions clearly.I kept replaying the scenes where she was with Wook and when she was with So.Her reaction clearly differs. With Wook it's like she has that 'Are you kidding me?After a year then you want to see me' surprised look and 'I've had enough' resigned look. But with So,she is touched and worried about him. It's obvious. She stopped when she felt So was nearby. He wasnt even behind her yet but she felt his presence.Wook had to stand behind her before she realised someone was near.Somehow she is accutely aware and sensitive to So's presence. She teared up when he said "I missed you".And she didnt have to ask him (unlike *ehem ehem*).He said it loud and clear himself! In SBS version,we hear HaeSoo's thoughts as she try to push So away with nasty words. She did it not only for her sake (since she fears that she will change history if she gets involved + Lady SG's advice) but also for his.She didnt want to be the reason that misfortune would befall him.She wants him to be happy.Just that I dont think it occurs to her that his happiness lies with her yet. The words exchanged in the night scene between Wook and HaeSoo was like parting words to me.HaeSoo said what she said because she wanted to confirm that at least whatever that went on between them was genuine and wasnt one sided. She has accepted that they werent meant to be (Not totally though.Maybe 70-80%?).I think what she got out of their conversation was that he did sincerely care for her but this guy just isnt the one.If the relationship continues,it will be a burden on both of them. I think there is another side kind of emotion in this scene too.Besides the feeling of resignation, there is a kind of bitterness from HaeSoo. "Don't overexert yourself on my behalf.Don't put yourself in danger.I have seen enough of that." This gets me thinking. This kind of line should be said to So.Since when di HaeSoo see Wook put himself in danger and overexert himself on her behalf? It Was So who did such things. So drank the poison. So visit her in prison in such a weak state. So defended her against the guards when she was about to be hung.So was the only one who stood beside her in the rain. Were those lines meant to mock Wook because he was more capable of doing more things to defend her yet So was the one who did more?Is she comparing So and Wook in this moment? Sorry for the long post.

The fortune teller be it JM or someone must be pretty good. @devotee When Yo proposed to Yeonhwa earlier in the episode, he used wordage along the lines of the two of them being fated/meant for each other. DramaFever chose to translate that specific line like this: [Yo, to Yeonhwa:] "Don't you see that we are a match made in heaven?" At any rate, after hearing that line from Yo, Yeonhwa went and used a similar line with So, instead, when she proposed marriage. I.e. she invoked heaven/fate as tying her to So (and rejected a similar tie to Yo). But I think it's pretty clear that Yeonhwa is merely trying to decide her own fate, by making her own choice (So rather than Yo).
