However, that breakup at the park, makes me feel, (only a little bit hopeful) that they, SW and SJ may be able to start afresh on a more equal footing if they can open their hearts to each other.

Same like you @ross27, I actually also have a teeny tiny hope that SW and SJ maybe able to start all over again, begin as friends of course. I remember after their first date, SJ said SW is actually more interesting than she thought and she liked his sense of humour and the fact that he swears make her feel like they're closer than before. If they can overcome the hurdles together (e.g., SJ's inferiority complex, the pressure from the rumours, etc...), I believe they can become a very loving couple. In real life, a lot of couples have to go through different types of obstacles anyway to make their bond grows stronger. However, it's very rare that second lead will end up with first lead in k-drama. Oh well, nevermind, as long as SJ is happy and SW can let go slowly, life moves on. But it will be a shame if they don't get a second chance. Just saying...

Yes I agree with both of you.. and I think when they start dating, it just too fast for them, they barely know each other.. I believe SW will let SJ go and moves on.. Maybe they can remind as friends and maybe just maybe someday they can start all over again.. but since this drama about DY and SJ as our fellow mention before, we know those things will rarely happen, so enjoy our last two episode and wish they all got an happy ending that they deserve :)

Based on what I saw from everyone's observation, I think what the writer-nim failed to do was make it more clear for us to show what SJ was feeling for SW. Was she really REALLY in love with him? Was it purely about her fantasy of marrying a guy with great specs? Was it about her ambition to make people envious of her? Was it about having someone to spend life with? All we saw was this cute crushing on him and her attempt to level up her appearance for him which we all interpreted as sincere real feelings that's why the viewers find it hard to accept her sudden change of heart. And also this writer, just like the S1, really loves to make the OTP realize their feelings when the drama is about to end which sometimes feels like too abrupt. I just hope that we'll be given a satisfying ending for everyone. I want my DY-SW bromance back :(

But what I am really glad about this drama, just like what @grake said, we were given a freedom to interpret the characters on our own. Everyone of us here were able to share our different interpretations which sometimes leads to disagreements but I can say that everyone had a really great thoughts about this drama. Thank you! :) This drama might not be a perfect one but it was a great drama which everyone could easily relates - struggles of living alone, money issues we all face, insecurities. We only have remaining two episodes to look forward to and I am so ready to see SJ and DY all lovey-dovey (though it hurts bc doojoon). I love this drama so much that it was the first time I decided watch raw episodes because the subbed was so slow and even made some recaps to share with you which were wrong, most of the time :sweatingbullets:  As for having S3, I'm still undecided if I like that idea. If they're going to get the one and only Shikshanim, Yoon Doojoon, I just don't want another love line again. Bring LSK or SHJ again. But I guess, people would love a new story and probably new casts. We'll never know what happen. Let's all just wait.

@minibunny and @jenkinspollyanne, Let's just keep the tiny hope alive until we watch the last 2 episodes. More than that, I will be a happy person if SJ will finally grow to be a confident woman, assured of her own worth and striking a balance between diet and exercise. She should not starve herself, should eat proper meals and exercise to keep fit and well.

best metaphor from couch-kimchi:

http://couch-kimchi.com/2015/06/01/lets-eat-2-episode-17-spoiler-stills-video-previews/

I guess Sang Woo is like an exotic and expensive yet skimpy dish that you eat at an upscale restaurant. You might convince yourself you’re full because for a person making a modest income, you had the rare chance at fine dining. Being there somewhat makes you feel special, but you’re still out of place. On the one hand, Dae Young is the affordable and heftily served favorite at a mom-and-pop eatery; it’ll always leave you satisfied. Food is essentially a metaphor for Soo Ji’s personal life, and it’s unthinkable that she might have to give up a favorite. Will Dae Young really leave for Seoul? Will Soo Ji just let him go? I look at these stills of them on a casual date at an amusement park and I feel sad; this is a farewell date.

Tonight's the final episode! Time passed so fast! Are you guys ready for the finale??

What will be SJ's wish - for DY to stay? Will SJ just let DY leave like that? Will DY & SJ eventually end up together? Will there be a time jump??  Omg! So many questions and uncertainties.

One thing for sure, SW eventually let go of SJ, and i think SJ gave him the actual reason that it was not mainly because of DY, but other things that accumulated. Need to watch with subs to find out!

AND! Will we have a kiss scene??? So few kisses even in S1. :( Haha

I don't know how to say goodbye to this drama. I know it kinda got messy somewhere but the all in all, I love this drama. The friendship of all the characters are my favorite part of this (well, besides doojoon lol) I just hope for a reconciliation between SW and DY and the headlocks :tears:. From the preview, it seems SW will be the one telling DY that they already broke up. I'm not really sure if its's before or after he left Sejong villa.  And just like with everyone above, I wanna have a kiss scene so bad. I don't mind if it's the last scene, but I just really want one lol. Watching the last episode, I guess I need to prepare my tissues :tears:

@leesolhee : I'm so gonna miss this drama and the food porn and of course our Shiksha-nim!!!

I think DY would find out that SW & SJ break up when he's back in seoul because that's when SW is back to his usual weekend hangout in seoul before dating SJ. We see SJ chasing after DY when he left. looks like SJ decides to just leave this relationship as it is, perhaps fearing of losing the other party?

Oh gosh! Can't wait for tonight's ep, but at the same time, sad that it's gonna end already! Let's pray for a kiss scene ya??
