Upcoming tvN drama series starring Lee Jong-Suk and Lee Na-Young has picked up the official English title of “How To Publish Love” (literal title is "Romance is a Bonus Book")

I'm so glad to hear this! The literal translation of that Korean title is "Romance is an Appendix"--which makes you think of an emergency appendectomy in episode 8. "Romance Supplement" sounds weirdly awkward, as if the romance is weak and you need to take supplements for it. Even if it isn't a direct, exact translation, "How to Publish Love" is just so much closer to the intent (romance + publishing), and it rolls off the tongue much better. Let's all start calling it that, and wash away the appendicitis!

[Orion's Daily Ramblings] Lee Jong-suk and Shin Hye-sun Portray Tragic Romance in "Hymn of Death" Posters
We have release dates, and two beautiful posters for upcoming three-act drama "Hymn of Death". The short is a remake of 1991 film "Death Song", both depicting the real, tragic romance between Korea's first notable soprano, Yoon Sim-deok, and her playwright lover, Kim Woo-jin. The film and the drama carry the title of Yoon Sim-deok's iconic song.
The posters are simple, but a simple idea can be very effective. One places the tragic couple, portrayed by Shin Hye-sun and Lee Jong-suk, facing away from each other in what feels like a beautiful pencil and coal double portrait. The other is almost like an old movie poster, showing the two during a quiet moment of romantic bliss. The text reads 'The last song sung at the end of life'.
Those who know their story also know that there is no happy ending here, as the two died in a double suicide, by jumping off the ship on their way back to Korea. He was a married man, she was someone whose talent was not appreciated during her time. Get the tissues ready for this one. The drama will air 3 episodes, on November 27th, and on December 3rd and 4th.

Lee Jong Suk, Lee Na Young, And More Gather For Script Reading Of New Romantic Comedy

Lee Jong Suk, Lee Na Young, And More Gather For Script Reading Of New Romantic Comedy

Nov 13, 2018
by S. Park

Photos from the script reading of tvN’s “Romance Supplement” (literal title) have been released.

“Romance Supplement” is one of 2019’s most-anticipated dramas. This romantic comedy will tell a heartwarming story about people who work at a publishing company and create books. It will be directed by Lee Jung Hyo of OCN’s “Life on Mars” and tvN’s “Good Wife” and written by Jung Hyun Jung. The two previously worked together on tvN’s “I Need Romance.”

The star-studded cast includes Lee Na Young who is returning to a drama after nine years and Lee Jong Suk who will be starring in his first romantic comedy.

The actors, director, and writer gathered for a script reading session on October 26 and put their chemistry to the test. Before the script reading officially began, director Lee Jung Hyo said, “My goal is for us to complete it while we all have fun working together. In the end, I want us to become a team who can smile at each other and be sad while saying goodbye.” Writer Jung Hyun Jung added, “I am happy that I can work with great people. I hope all of us can work happily together until the day it ends.”

The actors showed off their amazing teamwork from the beginning of the reading. Realistic, witty lines and detailed acting of the actors helped fill the room with laughter.

Lee Na Young and Lee Jong Suk proved that they are the best in the business and created excellent synergy as the drama’s leads. Lee Na Young transformed into the highly educated character named Kang Dan Yi. With her unique and detailed acting, she amplified the confident, lovely charms of her character.

Lee Jong Suk also wowed with his portrayal of Cha Eun Ho. His character is dubbed the “idol of the literary world,” a genius writer and the youngest editor at the publishing company who makes hearts flutter with his cynical attitude and good looks.

The supporting characters at the Gyeoru publishing company include contents creator and editor leader Song Hae Rin (Jung Yoo Jin), the charming but straightforward Ji Seo Joon (Wi Ha Joon), and CEO Kim Jae Min (Kim Tae Woo).

Other characters also include the cold and charismatic director Go Yoo Sun (Kim Yoo Mi), realistic working mom Seo Young Ah (Kim Sun Young), passionate veteran editor Bong Ji Hong (Jo Han Chul), rookie Park Hoon (Kang Ki Doong) who believes in being the right man for the right place, and childish rookie Oh Ji Yool (Park Kyu Young).

A source from the drama said, “It was a script reading where you realized why she’s Lee Na Young and why he’s Lee Jong Suk. The synergy of the two actors, who have definite colors, gave off thrilling joy. Since actors who know how to give life to their characters were gathered, there wasn’t a moment to be bored. The teamwork of these actors, who have strong personalities, resulted in warm laughter and a different kind of fun and made me look forward to [the drama] even more.”

“Romance Supplement” will air sometime in the first half of 2019.

[SBS Star] VIDEO: Lee Jong Suk & Shin Hae Sun's New Drama Drops Its First Teaser

Actor Lee Jong Suk and actress Shin Hae Sun showed off their chemistry in the teaser of 'He Hymn Of Death'.

ê¸°ì¬ ëí ì´ë¯¸ì§:[SBS Star] VIDEO: Lee Jong Suk & Shin Hae Suns New Drama Drops Its First Teaser

On November 12, the production team of SBS' upcoming drama 'He Hymn Of Death' unveiled the drama's first teaser.

In their upcoming drama, Shin Hae Sun and Lee Jong Suk will each play the role of 'Yoon Sim-deok' and 'Kim Woo-jin'―Joseon dynasty's first soprano singer and a gifted playwright.
Also, through her role 'Yoon Sim-deok', Shin Hae Sun is planning on depicting a brave young woman who is not afraid of anything whether it is following her dreams or winning the heart of someone she loves.

In the teaser, 'Yoon Sim-deok' catches the eyes of Lee Jong Suk while singing in front of his acting troupe, and they start to develop feelings for each ofter after the romantic first encounter.
Whilst watching them reading a book together and walking on the beach, it feels like there is nothing that can tear them apart since the energy and the vibe they give off is quite strong.
However, the scene where 'Yoon Sim-deok' stares at 'Kim Woo-jin' with a sad look on her face and the monologue saying, "A life that is running through a vast plain, where are you headed?" makes the audience wonder the dynamic of their relationship.

Even though 'Hymn Of Death' was already released once back in 1991 as a film, SBS is not planning on following the footsteps of the previous version, but will focus on reinterpreting the tragic love story between the two and their achievements as an artist.

Meanwhile, SBS' upcoming drama 'He Hymn Of Death' is scheduled to be aired on November 27 at 10PM KST.
