Soo hyun and Moon Embracing the Sun is nominated for Breakthrough Performance (I think...not really sure with the translation) and Best Picture... Korea Drama Awards will be o October 2, 2012 @ 8:00 PM in the evening...

There's a good chance Soo hyun might bring home the awards since it's not by popularity voting but they invited judges who are experts from different fields... if he wins Soo hyun will probably go at the awarding ceremony

It was bad enough that they postponed in one time but a second time totally killed me... But then Soo hyun was busy wrapping up The Thieves shooting when he accepted TMETS. The only difference is he only has a few CFS then but now he had LOTS and would be busy filming for it next year.

Polls Open for the 2012 Style Icon Awards

The 2012 Style Icon Awards (SIA), South Korea’s only style festival, has revealed the 50 candidates who will battle it out to take home the title of ‘Style Icon of the Year’.



The categories for this year’s SIA include ‘First Love Fantasies′, ‘Charming Older Men′, ‘World Dominators′, ‘Nation′s Representatives′, and ′Worship-Worthy Idols′.

The candidates for the ‘First Love Fantasies′ category are miss A’s Suzy, Seo In Guk, Jung Eun Ji, and Busker Busker.

A Gentleman’s Dignity’s Jang Dong Gun, the sexy Ryu Seung Ryong, and sweetheart Yoon Jun Sang will all be going head-to-head to take home the ‘Charming Older Men′ trophy.

The candidates for ‘World Dominators′ include Gangnam Style’s Psy, Lee Byung Hun, and SNSD.

Out of the 50 candidates, 10 style icons will be chosen by an executive committee comprised of 100 style specialists (40%), research preferences (30%) and online votes (30%). The celebrity with the most points will take home the ‘Style Icon of the Year’ award.

The 100 judges are composed of creative directors, stylists, photographers, movie directors, fashion magazine editors, and other style experts. Fans can vote for up to ten people once a day on SIA’s homepage (sia.interest.me).

Hallyu fans from all over the globe can participate in this event, as services provided in English, Japanese, and Chinese (traditional and simplified) will be made available on Global Mnet.

Han Seong Mi of CJ E&M’s Style Business Team stated, “This year’s SIA took into consideration the great impact that Korean culture is making in the world and we’ve expanded the voting system to hallyu fans overseas. This event is going to be the perfect opportunity to see this year’s trends, so please look forward to it.”

The 5th Style Icon Awards will take place on October 24 and 25th.

Along with the award ceremony, a concert, film festival, and project discovering the next rising star will take place.

The main event will take place on October 25 from 7 pm. It will be broadcasted live on Onstyle, XTM, StoryOn, O’live, tvN, and Mnet.

@willenette... Thanks for posting the article... So glad online vote is only 30%, Soo hyun might have achance. So far Soo hyun in on the 11th place with 2.7 % and on the 7-10th place its a triple tie for Lee Min Ho, Big Bang and I forgot the third one with 2.9%... 
Anyways speaking of style.. Cosmo didn't like th esuit he wore during the Thieves event last July

At such a young age to be nominated for such an awards would be a dream come true for Soo hyun...and his up against veterans like Uhm Tae woong and the guy from Deep Rooted Tree... I'm just so proud of him... I'm pretty sure he's going to cry if he wins the award... I'm so crossing my fingers for this one
