Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won revealed their favorite scenes from Queen of Tears as the show continues its reign as the must-watch weekend drama.

 

Kim Soo Hyun recalled the scene where Baek Hyun Woo confronts Hong Hae In in Germany. He particularly chose the line, “You know everything now,” in Episode 7. In the show, Baek Hyun Woo desperately searches for a cure for Hong Hae In’s illness. However, everything falls apart when Hong Hae In finds out Baek Hyun Woo had been secretly planning a divorce.

 

Determined to get her fighting spirit back, Baek Hyun Woo pretends to be a jerk, hoping to provoke Hong Hae In into finding her inner strength. Though facing the Queens Group’s anger for hurting her, his unwavering love for his wife shined through.

 

Kim Ji Won shared that she loved all the scenes filmed in Germany. “The filming in Germany is the most memorable for me. The scenery was just gorgeous and new.”

 

The drama’s German filming captured Baek Hyun Woo and Hong Hae In’s honeymoon, their first as a married couple.

 

This allowed for numerous scenes where the two openly expressed their affection for each other. Even with Hong Hae In’s illness hanging over them, their trip to Germany for treatment was filled with precious moments. Kim Ji Won explained, “Filming the scenes where Hae In was happy and pain-free with Hyun Woo was especially memorable.”

@Magician  thanks for sharing this. To fulfill his national defense duties, Kim Soo Hyun was spotted again in military uniform and joined those reservists for training. He mentioned this to his supporters through Bubble. He introduced himself as Army Sergeant Kim, and shared that he "spent the day meeting 490 new people this morning."  I remember during the drama's press conference, Kim Soo Hyun admitted that he has mixed feelings regarding his new role in the drama. He said the time that he was so excited and nervous at the same time that he even ended up "stuttering" in front of Kim Ji Won during the filming.

As Korean dramas become hits globally, more tourists from abroad are visiting these places, making the effect even bigger. This is why local governments work hard to attract filming locations for dramas they think will be successful.

 

The drama Queen of Tears has become very popular, and its filming locations are quickly becoming new tourist spots. The Daegu and North Gyeongsang regions have benefited the most. The main filming location for the village of Yongduri, the hometown of Baek Hyunwoo is in Yongyeon-ri, Mungyeong City, North Gyeongsang. The drama often mentions apples from Yongduri village, which are a specialty of Mungyeong. Chungju City in North Chungcheong is also hoping for the Queen of Tears effect.

 

The place introduced by Baek Hyunwoo as the ‘confession spot with a perfect success rate’ during his second proposal to Hong Haein is Geonji Village in Jodong-ri, Dongryang-myeon, Chungju City. This place is famous for its beautiful sunset photography spots where the Namhan River and mountain ridges come together.
