the way the characters get all defensive was just frustrating, but it's a lovely and cute drama nonetheless. The actor that plays the young father [forgot his name] was really funny in a way. and how sweet it was when he made wallpaper out of his son and soon-to-be wife's picture and always smiles when he stared at it. I'm currently hooked with its OST 'SARANGHALGGE'. such a nice song~

What I like about the character is his openness and willingness to learn and overcome his limitations. He is sort of stubborn, but when he is shown a different perspective and can see the merits, he is willing to embrace it.

Jang, on the other hand ... I'm at somewhat of a loss. I love watching Jo as Jang, but don't thing the role carries the same emotional impact.... except for scenes like in tonight ep where he is pleading for the princess. I may change my mind if I ever get to watch the drama with subtitles. I think Jo is more expressive in Love Letter and Only You.

I thought about it for a long time, and impulsively ordered it from Yesasis...and I don't regret it one bit. The avi files flutter a bit on the Phillips player, but the DVD is excellent quality, and overall the subs are better too. Very Americanized. I can relate! The only issue with the DVD is they should have included more chapters. There are only three per episode.

Honestly, I haven't watched SUNSHINE so I shouldn't say... but my sister was watching this and when I found out the ending, I just lost interest... Song Hae Gyo was supposed to end with JHJ but since Ryu Seung Bum's fans were louder... she ended up with Ryu instead...

As for LOVE LETTER... JHJ was basically unknown when he did this... and SooAe and Ji Jin Hee... all of them were 'unknown' so this lacked star power. Plus, this drama was competing against very popular dramas left to right... so the rating was low... but really, this drama's one of the so called 'mania' drama, cuz the internet fans were going crazy over this! You don't know how much the character of ANDREA, (JHJ was a priest there) inspired me to write! Till this day, I think Andrea's my favorite JHJ's character. He was the 'perfect' priest in there... he made me drool too... but it was a painful and 'deep' type of drooling, LOL!

BTW... Does anybody has the link for Love Letter Music Video? That one was, I must say... one of the most touching k-drama music videos I've ever watched... I miss it so much I wish I could watch this again...

Of the two I've only seen Love Letter. Jo is excellent as a conflicted priest. This drama is so over the top with disfunctional characters, and sadness and pathos, but once started it is hard to stop watching...let's say impossible, especially once you see Jo in the priest robe. Good thing I don't have guilt about lusting after a priest, else I'd be in hell right now! I loved watching the whole drama, but was quite dissatisfied with the ending.

I went head over the hills for Ji Jin Hee the first time I saw him on TV (Juliet's Man) but I didn't like him much when he came out at FOUR SISTERS. Then, I wanted to throw tomatoes at him at LOVE LETTER (although he became kuuull towards the end...).

At DAE JANG GUM, he comes as a man of honor, strong, secure, loyal, and willing to give up everything for the woman he loves. In other words, he comes out as every woman's dream. But even so... the romance was very much in the background since Lee Young Ae was technically the King's posession... so she wasn't supposed to love anyone. Thus, being the loyal man and woman they are, they couldn't develop their romance much... not till towards the end... when the king allows her to go (which is very unrealistic but who cares!). Going back to Ji Jin Hee's character, although he was the perfect man in there... I felt his character was just that: the image of perfection without stormy undercurrent. (Not too interesting for me... though, yeah, Jin Jin Hee was HOT there!)
