@mimi26, yeah heard about that taiwanese drama too.. they said it will be taiwanese version of You Are Beautiful... duh?!?... I'm not sure I want to see Minyoung in that drama... I'm not a fan of that drama. LOL! ... something better than that please!

@leslie_lie, I didn't know it was from DC Gal coz I only got it from twiiter. I actually didn't pay much attention to it coz there were no follow-up news. 

Well so far Minyoung is wise enough to choose only those good projects. I've read in one forum saying they initially didn't like Minyoung taking the lead-role for Dr Jin for a very stupid reason. They think it's too much for Minyoung getting all female-lead roles in 4 good dramas (SKKS, CH, Man of Honor and Dr Jin) in less than 2 years. hahaha! .. .what to do?.. Minyoung is the current favorite. Anyway, they took back what they said after seeing the photo of Minyoung in hanbok, saying she fits the role :-)

Park has performed in many dramas and has become a veteran actress. She is receiving a lot of favorable reviews by playing the role of Hong in the series. Through the episode, Park is expected to become a queen of tears and a representative to actresses in their 20s.

In the preview for the 5th episode of the series, Song Seung Hun (plays the role of Jin Hyuk), who was taking care of patients, was infected with an unidentified epidemic. The preview drew a lot of attention and made people wonder what will happen next.

In the 5th episode of the series, which airs on June 9, Park and Lee will compete against each for Song, who is suffering from an unidentified illness.

Song was taking care of patients but then he was infected with the unidentified epidemic.

Even though he throws up everything and is on the verge of death, Park stays beside him and takes care of him with all her heart.

Lee, who was previously saved by Song, hears that he is sick and visits him. Park is nervous about seeing Lee, who is well known as the best escort in the capital. The two women compete against each other over Song.

Park and Lee will lead the romance in the series and Song and Kim Jae Joong will portray a fateful love story

Heungseon Daewongun is perhaps one of the most infamous of the many regents in Korean history. While in some ways, he was a better administrator that most kings of the day were, he was content to keep Korea isolated at all costs. Many Catholics were martyred during his time in power. An American naval ship, sailing up the Taedong River in Pyeongyang was the victim of Korean ire and was sunk. While he could not to accede to the throne, somehow his 12 year-old son was eligible and thus became King Gojong and later the Emperor Gwangmu. Daewongun served as regent in his stead until he became of age. The goal of Heungseon Daewongun was to effect a dynastic restoration. During the 19th century, the Joseon Dynasty had become weakened and corrupt. Many times, kings who were very weak ruled while their in-laws basically ran the country. The Queen Dowager, who was of the Cho clan (there were actually three dowagers at the time and they were all racing to get someone on their family on the throne) summed Heungseon Daewongun’s twelve year old son and sat him on the throne before other royal in-laws, especially the Andong Kims could put one of their own on the throne. The previous king had died without issue. As King Gojong was only twelve, his father, Prince Heungseon served as the regent (Daewongun) and ran the country for nine years.

Some important reforms were accomplished during his time in power. Interestingly, the yangban, or nobles found themselves to be taxed for the first time ever. His main goals were to resist Japan and to resist the West. Thinking that the wife he chose for his son, a girl of the poor but noble Min clan, could be easily swayed, he unwittingly created one of the greatest female politicians of the 19th century and a Queen who far more able an administrator than that of her husband. Queen Myeongseong was successful in getting her father-in-law Heungseon Daewongun banished. Unfortunately, Daewongun’s hopes for a dynastic revival never happened, mostly because King Gojong wasn’t that great a monarch, though he did try. King Gojong’s son, the Emperor Sunjong was not really that smart (some go so far as to call him mentally retarded) and was easily swayed by the Japanese. The rest, as they say, is history. In 1910, Korea became part of the Japanese Empire.

@Andone This means there is going to be a conflict in the future for people like YR who believe in the Catholic faith. What will it do to Kyung Tak? Saw this speculation on baidu about how KT's background in the poster is black. They were discussing if that was because KT will turn dark. Their supposition is that after turning dark for a while, KT might redeem himself by saving YR if there is some persecution of Christians going to happen in the future. Let's see how the scriptwriters deal with the historical part.

I can now understand why MY said YR is a passive character. She is quite the woman of her age and needs a man for physical protection. She is no Nana in that sense. I guess that is natural. Even in SKKS, as KYH, she couldn't fight against the goons. It was only by donning the male guise that she could have that drunken fight with KSP's character and beat him up.

@mimi26: that's very interesting. I hope the writers will portray the political turmoil at that time. If that's the case, KT will play an important role since he is part of the law enforcement; thus, it will be interesting when the story unfolds and he finds out YH is the leader of local rebels and YR perhaps is a Catholic. Will he go to the dark side, maybe blackmailing YR to marry him (since YR loves Jin) or else YH will be prosecuted?  On the other hand, Jin is supposedly a medical drama and I didn't watch the Japanese version, so I don't know how much history will be incorporated into the story line.

By the way, I love the last gif- when Jin cried looking at the horizon flashing back to his moment with MN, I felt his cry was very genuine in that scene.

Episode 5 was a bit too melo for me.   I liked the Kyung Tak track and they are developing his character quite well into a misunderstood anti-hero. In the case of PMY and this is my opinion which you may agree/disagree with, I was happy with some of her scenes, but there were some where I felt she could have done more. I just want her to let go of herself completely when doing YR in some scenes. I hope in the future episodes I get to see her raising her level. Please PMY, do better!
