Speaking about contests, Romanian fan club made on facebook a contest in February - the Month of Love - with the theme "Love and couples in SIK's dramas": 2 main questions / day, 10 days long, the answers had to be done at the end of the day (actually 23 hours for thinking and composing the answers) and many persistent competitors, it was really a pleasure to see them! March 21 is Song IL-Kook's Day in Hawaii
17-Mar-2009The state government of Hawaii has designated March 21st as the Song Il-gook Day after the star of "Jumong" and "Land of wind". The actor will be in Hawaii for three days beginning on March 20 to receive a plaque of appreciation from Hawaiian Governor Linda Lingle and take part in various events. Song is applauded for his role in introducing Korean culture to the people of Hawaii.

Following the gubernatorial event on the 21st, Song will attend a talk show with his fans to thank the Hawaiian people for their support and affection. His last TV drama, "Land of wind" will be released in DVD next month in Japan, which is expected to fuel his popularity in foreign countries.


To remember this special day, I'm re-posting the complete article on his visit to the islands in 2009.

Very belated Anniversary to Mr & Mrs Song Il Kook and a VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE TRIPLETS!! I totally forgot about today being declared Song Il Kook day in Hawaii.. Thank you Kona for always remembering all these things (How could I forget when this was the very first time I met SIK in person) and for all the translations along with all the picturea to keep us on top of things. Metal, thanks for that cool question and answers about our Namja, I'll be honest.. I could only answer a few.. Ardent, thanks for all the edited clips of TOE, just wish we didn't have to wait sooo long to see what his next drama will be. Gosh.. Their is sooooo many new and old fans on this forum, I don't know where to start from. But to all of you near or far, thanks for your continued support for SIK. Reading everyones affection for SIK makes me feel less crazy everytime I think of him. Let's keep the fire burning!! <3 SIK 4 ever!!

KONA, thank you for posting my edited TOE videos.  I'm very happy to share them to everyone.  I can also upload them at You Tube but I don't want to waste my time and effort.  YT will only delete them for copyright issues.
Now, that I'm done editing TOE, I don't know what to do next.  I'm planning to also edit Album of Life and rip only the scenes where he appears.  We can't understand the drama, anyway.  I just love to see him there.  That is if you won't mind.  If you did, then I'd just keep the edited version in my files for my eyes only.  Lol!  8->>-
I love the pictures of Ki Ho Tae you posted.  He is so handsome and cute in the videos, too.  I wish there are English subtitles.

I'm glad everyone likes the questions I posted.  I enjoy sharing what I can.

Kona, where did you get the Kimchee Family boxset?  The extra features, especially SIK's interview, are priceless. Maybe (hope, hope) Beauty Touch will have E subbed versions.  It's also good to hear that his dramas are not completely banned in Japan.  I wonder if he gets residuals when his dramas are shown again or in other countries.
