According to a report by Spotv News on the 3rd Jan, Park Ji-bin will make a special appearance as a young Lee Tae in the drama 'Red Heart'.

Red Heart is a fiction historical drama that tells the story of King Seonjong, who became king after a rebellion, followed by Lee Tae (Lee Joon), who became king of Joseon. It depicts Lee Tae, who dreams of becoming an absolute monarch, and Park Gye-won (Jang Hyuk), who is left-winged to make the king the "flower of the royal family," and Yoo Jung (Kang Han-na), a free soul who has been embroiled in a royal power struggle.

Park Ji-bin will play the childhood of King Lee Tae, who dreams of becoming an absolute monarch. Park Ji-bin, a former child actor and who has proven his solid acting skills, is drawing attention as he plays a child role after a long time. It is the first time in nine years that Kang Ji-hwan has acted as a child actor since he played Lee Cha-don's childhood in the drama "The Incarnation of Money" in 2013.

Park Ji-bin received favorable reviews for showing more ripening acting than adult actors in popular historical dramas such as "Lee San," "Cheon Chu Tae-hoo," and "Queen Seondeok." Expectations are high on what kind of acting will be shown in historical dramas after a long time in hanbok.

Red Heart is scheduled to premiere in the first half of 2022.

Another news about Lee Tae-ri's role.

Lee Tae Ri Confirmed To Join Lee Joon, Kang Han Na, And Jang Hyuk In New Historical Drama

Lee Tae Ri will be joining the cast of the upcoming KBS 2TV drama “Red Heart” (literal title)!

On March 1, the actor’s agency Starhaus Entertainment officially confirmed that Lee Tae Ri will be appearing in “Red Heart.”

“Red Heart” is a fictional historical drama about Lee Tae, who becomes the king of Joseon and dreams of absolute monarchy. Lee Joon, Kang Han Na, and Jang Hyuk were previously confirmed to star in the drama.

Lee Joon has been cast as Lee Tae, who aims to strengthen his authority by getting rid of Park Kye Won and his subjects. Lee Tae is a person who thinks any action is justifiable to achieve his goal, and fans are already looking forward to how Lee Joon will express his character’s emotional lines as he fiercely fights for power.

Kang Han Na has been offered the role of Yoo Jung, a free-spirited woman who Lee Tae falls in love with. Lee Tae picks Yoo Jung as his crown princess, causing a troublesome situation for his family, and he is forced to make a choice between the one he loves and his family’s plans for revenge.

Jang Hyuk will take on the role of Park Kye Won, who will be involved in intense conflict with Lee Tae. Park Kye Won is a living symbol of power and a figure that everyone obeys. He is a “king maker” who resolves to “create a wise and young king with his own hands” so that the foundation of Joseon will not be shaken by tyrants again.

Lee Tae Ri will transform into Park Nam Sang, the only son of Park Kye Won. Park Nam Sang was raised with high expectations, and he is an up right character with gentleness and integrity who walks the path of a scholar. He will become part of the Saheonbu (an investigative government office), and it will be interesting to see how his role impacts the story development.

Lee Tae Ri has impressed with his diverse roles in many projects, including JTBC’s “Beauty Inside,” MBC’s “Extraordinary You,” and tvN’s “Tale of the Nine-Tailed.” Fans can look forward to his transformation in “Red Heart,” which is set to air in the first half of 2022.
