‘The Empire’ because it’s Lee Mi-sook

news-p.v1.20221029.b77d8ca5485b4b908f28f

There are five scenes that catch the eye because it is Lee Mi-sook.

Actress Lee Mi-sook is making her fall in love with 'The Empire: Empire of Law' with her impeccable acting skills.

Lee Mi-sook appeared as Ham Kwang-jeon, the mother of Hye-ryul Han (Kim Seon-ah) and director of Minkuk University Law School, in the JTBC Saturday drama 'The Empire: Empire of Law' (played by Oh Ga-gyu, directed by Yoo Hyun-ki, produced by Celltrion Entertainment, SLL). She is particularly captivating with her flamboyant looks, from her elegant yet charismatic look to a meaningful one that seems to hide her true nature. We looked at the moments of Lee Mi-sook's Pyo Ham Kwang-jeon, which creates dramatic tension.

Episode 1, incomparable elegance from the first appearance

From the first appearance, Ham Gwang-jeon (Lee Mi-sook) took the lead in all household affairs, revealing her elegant charisma. In particular, the appearance of Gwang-Jeon Ham, who winks at her young stepmother, Ae-Hun Lee (Hyun-Kyung Oh), after her sweet smile, gives a strange tension and amplifies the curiosity about the person named Gwang-Jeon Ham. In addition, her incomparable charisma as the head of the Minguk University Law School, her cold eyes towards her husband Han Gun-do (Song Young-chang), and her son-in-law, Geun-woo (Ahn Jae-wook), change even the flow of air in an instant.

Episode 3, Significant Warning to Son-in-law Ahn Jae-wook

In episode 3, Ham Gwang-jeon, who had been watching all of Na Geun-woo's affair with her son-in-law, went to Na Geun-woo's professor's office and delivered her significant warning message. She warned Na Geun-woo, who said he would work overtime because of work left, with a sharp gaze and a cold tone, saying, "Make sure you come in, and don't drag it into the house messily." The appearance of Ham Gwang-jeon, who presses Na Geun-woo while hiding everything, made the viewers nervous.

Episode 6, Tears of Painful Regret

In episode 6, Gwang-Jeon Ham shed painful tears of regret as she looked at her daughter, Hye-Ryul Han. When her grandson, Kang-baek Han (Kwon Ji-woo), or Geun-woo's affair partner, Hong Nan-hee (Joo Se-bin), declared a bombshell, her family was shocked. Ham Kwang-jeon swallowed tears, saying, "Don't say anything to Kang Baek right now. Then, after exclaiming, "I just realized this now and regretting the pain of my life," he said, "If I hadn't stopped you then, I wouldn't have brought that into the house," revealing his cold contempt for his son-in-law Na Geun-woo. Even in this situation, the image of Ham Gwang-jeon, who is looking for the butler and preparing dinner for the family, created a sense of tension.

Episode 8, Oh Hyun-kyung stares in CCTV... Meaningful eyes

In episode 8, Ham Gwang-jeon, who entered the secret space where you can check the CCTV screen, drew attention. Numerous CCTV scenes installed throughout the house created eerie feeling, and the meaningful appearance of Ham Kwang-jeon watching Lee Ae-heon (Oh Hyun-kyung) talking to someone through the CCTV screen heightened the tension. Ham Gwang-jeon, who treated Lee Ae-heon (Oh Hyun-kyung) more kindly than anyone else. It was revealed that he had been keeping a close eye on Lee Ae-heon, sparking curiosity about what kind of future Ham Gwang-jeon will take.

Episode 10, Cool Force + Bitter Lament

In episode 10, Ham Gwang-jeon focused his attention by refusing the request of her daughter, Han Hye-ryul, whom she had always supported, with a cool expression. She said, “Look, Hye-ryul.. What’s the use if you can’t pass this on to me? Die here, what's the use of enduring? ” she lamented. Her grandson Han Kang-baek (Kwon Ji-woo)'s face changed 180 degrees in the story of a leave of absence from school, creating tension. Then, as she looked around the strong and majestic house like an iron castle, she passed on from bitterness to loneliness, making people curious about the narrative of the person named Ham Gwang-jeon.

“The Empire” is a drama about the private lives and dark secrets of the overly ambitious “royalty” that rules over the most prestigious legal circles of Korea. Kim Sun Ah stars as Han Hye Ryul, the ambitious and intelligent head of the Central District Prosecutors’ Office’s Special Branch, who hails from a wealthy and powerful family. Ahn Jae Wook stars as her husband Na Geun Woo, a law school professor who is on the verge of becoming a presidential candidate.

Spoilers

In the upcoming episode of the drama, Han Hye Ryul’s ex-husband Go Won Kyung (Kim Hyung Mook) will seek out Na Geun Woo in the hopes of saving his son Han Kang Baek (Kwon Ji Woo), who has become the prime suspect in Hong Nan Hee’s death. Although there is no concrete evidence of his guilt, both the media and public opinion have painted Han Kang Baek as a murderer based solely on the reason that he was her boyfriend.

With the situation looking bleak, Go Won Kyung personally visits Na Geun Woo in an attempt to rescue his son from danger. Although the two men are not on good terms, they do share the common desire to protect Han Kang Baek, and Go Won Kyung asks Na Geun Woo to keep his stepson safe by any means necessary.

Na Geun Woo initially has a hard time agreeing to Go Won Kyung’s request due to a wide variety of factors, including the fact that he has also been asked to defend a different suspect in the case. However, Go Won Kyung responds by revealing a piece of information that only he knows about just how much Han Kang Baek loves his stepfather—causing Na Geun Woo to fall deeper into his quandary as he is racked with guilt.

Spoilers

Previously on “The Empire,” the once-loving relationship between Na Geun Woo and his stepson Han Kang Baek (Kwon Ji Woo) took a drastic turn for the worse after the death of Hong Nan Hee (Joo Se Bin).

However, in newly released stills from the drama’s upcoming episode, the two men share a moment alone for the first time in a long while. During a serious conversation at a cemetery, Han Kang Baek will finally reveal what he knows about Hong Nan Hee’s murder, which leads the previously undecided Na Geun Woo to make up his mind to do his fatherly duty by protecting his stepson however he can.

Initially, Na Geun Woo tries to help Han Kang Baek by tossing out questions that the police will ask him during his interrogation. However, things soon get more emotional as Han Kang Baek winds up pouring his heart out in the rain, seemingly uncaring as to whether he gets drenched or not.

Not only will Han Kang Baek indirectly reveal that he was aware of the relationship between Na Geun Woo and Hong Nan Hee, but he will also confess what happened on the day of her death—and open up about the guilt he feels as a result. After hearing what his stepson has to say, Na Geun Woo will finally realize with certainty what he needs to do.

Kim Sun Ah And Ahn Jae Wook Say Goodbye + Thank Viewers Ahead Of “The Empire” Finale

As JTBC’s “The Empire” winds to a close, stars Kim Sun Ah and Ahn Jae Wook shared their thoughts ahead of tonight’s series finale!

“The Empire” is a drama about the private lives and dark secrets of the overly ambitious “royalty” that rules over the most prestigious legal circles of Korea.

Leading lady Kim Sun Ah emphasized her gratitude to the rest of the cast and crew by remarking, “I can never forget the journey we took while passionately worrying about how to create the best end result possible. Because this drama came about thanks to the toil of everyone who was together with us for that journey, I think our precious finished product was able to reach many people.”

Expressing her sorrow that the drama was already coming to an end, she continued, “I can’t believe that I have to say goodbye to ‘The Empire,’ with which I’ve spent so much time.”

“I hoped that the loneliness and the affection deprivation of the human being Han Hye Ryul, who was hidden in the shadow of prosecutor Han Hye Ryul, would be filled up by the love of many people,” said the actress, “and I hope those feelings were successfully conveyed [through my performance].”

Kim-Sun-Ah-1-768x512.jpg

Meanwhile, Kim Sun Ah’s on-screen husband Ahn Jae Wook reflected on his character’s flaws and how they led to his downfall.

“Despite being inside this iron castle [of power and privilege], he alone considers himself an outsider, and I think it was those lonely inner feelings that ultimately destroyed him,” said the actor.

“I hope that Na Geun Woo’s life, throughout which he has struggled to hide his pitiful reality underneath a flashy exterior, will touch viewers in a variety of ways,” he continued. “As everyone in the legal family, including Na Geun Woo, has been busy hiding their true natures, please look forward to seeing what kind of consequences they will face in the end.”

Ahn-Jae-Wook-4-768x512.jpg
