@larus  I'm in! Fav genre mystery thriller (also crime action, legal, pyscholgical, political). Kim Dong Wook in the lead too.

Feels like caste system in highschool, weak gettig bullied, inner turmoil and hate carried over 20 years which made him serial killer.   This is for next year and already something to wait.  Excited for cast updates too. I'm sure we gonna gonna get younger version of the leads too.

But why does it feel like  "The Equator Man" vibe.  Anyway I'll be checking this one. Thanks larus.

'The King of Pigs' Kim Dong-wook, Kim Seong-gyu, Chae Jung-an Cast... 'Thriller' Drama Breath

264509_314734_1751.jpg

Kim Dong-wook, Kim Seong-gyu, and Chae Jung-an are working together in Teabing's original 'The King of Pigs'. Kim Dong-wook and Chae Jung-an meet for the first time in 14 years since the drama 'Coffee Prince 1st Store'.

On the 16th, the production team mentioned the fact that they were cast, raising expectations already.

Teabing's original 'The King of Pigs', which started filming in earnest, is a thriller drama that tells the story of those who bring out 'memories of violence' due to a mysterious serial murder that started with a message from a friend 20 years ago.

In the drama, Kim Dong-wook takes on the role of Hwang Kyung-min, who lives without forgetting the memories of school violence 20 years ago. The character Hwang Kyung-min relives trauma from 20 years ago due to an unexpected incident while enjoying a happy life with his beloved wife.

I am already curious about the character Hwang Kyung-min that Kim Dong-wook, who has been well-received for every work he appears in with his delicate emotional portrayal and charming voice that sticks in his ears.

In addition, Kim Seong-gyu takes on the role of Jeong Jong-seok, a detective who tracks messages from a friend 20 years ago. Jung Jong-suk is a character who struggles to prevent further murders as he pursues a mysterious message from his friend, recalling the violence he suffered 20 years ago.

Chae Jung-an will play the role of Kang Jin-ah, a charismatic detective who doesn't care if she gets stuck last. Kang Jin-ah is Jong-seok's senior police officer in the play and is a strong-willed police officer who is not shaken in any case, although there is a lot of resentment within the team due to his arbitrary investigation.

In this way, ‘The King of Pigs’, which will bring out the completeness and immersion of the drama through the passionate performances of actors with solid acting skills who can digest all the roles without blockage, heralds the birth of another well-made thriller drama.

New posters for the upcoming TVING original drama “The King of Pigs” have been released!

“The King of Pigs” is a thriller that follows the people who recall their experiences as victims of violence due to the mysterious serial killings that begin when they receive a message from a friend from 20 years ago. Through these characters with tragic fates, the drama touches on the origin of school violence and the violence that pervades modern society.

The drama is based on director Yeon Sang Ho’s animated film of the same name that has already been acknowledged for its cinematic quality at various film festivals.

The two newly released posters give off an eerie and chilling vibe. The first poster shows a hooded figure wearing a mask of a pig smiling cynically. The message in the background is blurry and written in red, making it seem like blood. The words, “Jong Suk, it’s been a while,” can be faintly made out.

The next poster shows Hwang Kyung Min sitting on the floor of a dark and cold rundown room. A shadow of someone wearing a pig mask casts down on him as he looks back towards the viewer. His eyes show emptiness, reflecting the state of the room he is in. Above him are the words, “From here on is the story I wanted to tell,” which may be referring to the bloody message written on the wall from the first poster.

Chae Jung Ahn will play the charismatic detective Kang Jin Ah, a tenacious woman of principle who will stop at nothing to solve a case.

The new teaser beings with the shrill sound of sirens. Jung Jong Suk and Kang Jin Ah hastily appear at the scene of a terrible murder. Their terrified expressions give a small hint about the kind of horrific incident they witnessed before their eyes.

Hwang Kyung Min’s calm but eerie voice greets, “Jong Suk, it’s been a long time. It’s Hwang Kyung Min. How have you been?” The sight of him with bright red blood on his face creates a chilling vibe, and his cold expression foreshadows what kind of gruesome deed he is up to. Hwang Kyung Min’s voiceover continues, “Do you remember that day? You should join me.” The clip ends with a glimpse of a frightening pig mask that sends shivers up one’s spine.
