*** Netflix's "Bloodhounds" is set to offer an action-packed bromance story with Woo Do-hwan and Lee Sang-yi. TODAY is D-DAY! The 8-part action series will premiere TODAY, Friday. Woo Do Hwan accepted the role while serving his mandatory military service. He said this during the presscon. And that the director texted him and later he had sent him the script. He said that exercising is his everyday routine in the military so, he focused on practicing boxing moves more than getting fit.

*** Two days after "Bloodhounds" officially made its debut, the show gave viewers an unexpected ending as Woo Do Hwan and Lee Sang Yi created a strategic plan to get back at Park Sung Woong. Ohhh..........time flies so fast!

*** Premiered on Friday, "Bloodhounds" ranked second now on Netflix's TV show chart Tuesday, according to the streaming analytics site FlixPatrol. The drama is an open-ended story so, is there a possibility that there will be a second season? Well, if the drama gains global popularity, it can come back because the main characters are alive (at the end).

*** I was surprised seeing Ryu Soo Young cameo appearance in ‘Bloodhounds’ as Lee Doo Young, a fiercely loyal character who made a strong on-screen impact with his stylish black leather jacket and a face mask.   I  was captivated by his performance as he fearlessly tackled intense action scenes, displaying his impressive stunt skills and mastery in hand-to-hand combat during his character’s secret mission.

And according to Flix Patrol, the drama dethroned Never Have I Ever as the reigning TV in Netflix’s TOP 10 list.   :sweet:

*** “Bloodhounds” would have been one of the most outstanding action dramas in the first half of 2023, had it not been for the disappointing ending. In the finale, the writer attempted to introduce a female character, and the final two episodes were having illogical plot developments.

Despite, according to FlixPatrol, as of June 16th, the drama has become the most popular non-English drama on Netflix World-wide, surpassing various harsh competitors.   :Megalol:

*** I didn't know that "Bloodhounds’ was first offered to  Lee Do Hyun not until I read an article from Netflix about it. He declines the offer because it's reported that at the time he was offered his role in “The Glory” already. I'm happy that the situation allowed Woo Do Hwan to make a major leap after his discharge. Moreover, Lee Do Hyun also found a more suitable role for himself. Also, Kwak Dong Yeon turned down the offer to appear on “Bloodhounds” as he and the team of the drama could not reach an agreement. Biased aside, Woo Do Hwan appears with an angular face and an aloof charm that allows him to fit better in “Bloodhounds”. While the script is not all too perfect, but, he was able to control the scenes and depicts his character flawlessly. He was able to convey both the complex psychology of his character as well as carry out the heavy fighting scenes. So, I'm glad when he was chosen for the role and found

a new spotlight.   :shaq:

*** Groundwave dramas (from MBC/SBS/KBS) continue to survive in the midst of a crisis that has been going on for years and that's "ratings". Despite the pouring of various dramas regardless of genre, the three groundwave broadcasters have continued to survive. If you look inside, the ratings (based on Nielsen Korea nationwide) are not so satisfying. MBC has slow progress due to competition. While Friday-Saturday dramas have become the face of MBC dramas, their performance in the first half of this year was disappointing. "Joseon Attorney: A Morality" which was broadcast after "Kokdu: Season of Deity" fell into a slump in ratings due to its competitors. The drama recorded its own highest rating of 4.4% (8th episode. April 22nd), and struggled with ratings in the 2-3% range, but failed to rebound. The cast Woo Do-hwan and Kim Ji-yeon  had passionate performances, but the ratings remained disappointing.   :sweet:

*** Lee Min Ho is always hilarious every time he posts any comments on his friends' IG. He commented in Woo Do Hwan’s Instagram video of him fishing in a lake on June 30. Their close friendship is so sweet & NICE. We know that their friendship began as they played side by side in The King: Eternal Monarch. I'm happy seeing this interaction.    :ohboy2:

@backstreetboysfan  thanks for sharing this. Hmmm..... the drama’s title is a little unusual and a pretty weird, but it’s a nod to the life protagonist Hae Jo leads when we meet him. He’s a man with no attachments in this life — he just drifts along like plankton in the ocean. This story in the hands of this creative team has so much potentia and with this cast to boot, my expectations are pretty high right now. There’s no specific air date set yet, but "Mr. Plankton"  is expected to premiere in 2024. I'm just getting ready for this upcoming drama of Woo Do Hwan.   :yaaa:
