This is a, sort of, appreciation post. *shy* *shy* A sort of celebration for us reaching the 100 and it's now close to 150. HAHAHA. 

Backreading those 15+ pages is like riding a monster rollercoaster. Crazy good and fun to the point of vomiting due to lack of oxygen (from excessive laughter  ) I'm glad I wasn't reading all that when I was working, I swear I wouldn't have finished anything. HAHAHA.

LOL! I loved loved loved Prosecutor Noh Ji's facial expressions as he looked at her with laser possesive eyes. Hahaha! And Bong's sweet expression of being caught! LOL! If my, what is the word chingus like to use "delulu" mind takes it a step further in correlations to our JiJi couple. I believe the writer threw that in for humor addressing JCW & NJH's age difference and the possibility of her meeting a younger man. Hahaha! Why not? We all know and see what a beauty she is on all levels. And two years away from her will definitely be an open field kind of time for all the rest of the boys to come out and ask for play. LOL! This was JCW only accessory yesterday. Silver chain bracelet. He didnt even wear a watch. He switched hairstlyes n clothes but the bracelet stays.

Hello fellow shippers and fellow lurkers! First off let me express my appreciation to the captain of this ship (stucked), thank you ma'am for starting this thread and to all the contributors thank you for steering this ship. Please know that its much appreciated.

 

Finally, big accomplishment for me because I've somehow catch-up at 140+ pages. Whew!

 

Its been years since I remember posting at soompi. Not that I'm prolific at it. LOL! My posting history at soompi is sporadic and basically about the characters, plots and technicalities of the drama I'm currently following and stuff related to the entertainment "business". But something about SP and CJW&NJH (JiJi) struck a chord and draws me and ignites me to opine away on this thread. And before I get carried away, I want to say a little about my self. My job is stressful as I deal with both corporate and domestic issues. So nowadays, to unwind I mostly gravitate to just reading (and people watching while sitting on a café) and watching fluff - mostly rom-coms and melos if the mood suits me (I'm not picky at all - I watch from Chinese, Thai, Japanese, and other Asian dramas and other filmography that intrigues me at the moment) . Heh! 

 

BTW, just like many here, I am HOOKED and admittedly a CERTIFIED SHIPPER. I hate to use the word OBSSESSED because it has such a bad rap so maybe downgrade to ADDICTED noh?  I must be so out of character because our 15-year old asked what I'm doing. See, I opened 2 laptops (one for work and the other for personal stuff over the weekend) and iPad/iPhone glued to a certain soompi page so I can ketchup (credit goes to those who coined this word BTW) with the thread. And I'm still playing ketchup as of this writing. I was frustrated because I tried to post using my old moniker since two weeks ago but its been so long that I can no longer log-in as I've forgotten my old password. Back in the days, I used to be quite active at British and American forums/sites like the old IMDB and DH when Nikki Finke's was still running the show.

 

I've been lurking at the main drama thread and only posted a few towards the end to celebrate and appreciate and express my delight in discovering a gem like SP and the talented actors like CJW and NJW. I wish I had the luxury of time to just sit and relish the banter in real time with you wonderful people. Did I tell you y'all ROCK?  

 

See, I promised to myself I'll post something when the thread was just at 20+ pages. But alas, I kennot catch-up with you guys for this past week.  Y'all are on fire. This thread is like watching an F1 race, with all the adrenaline rush with posts that just speeds and zooms off to 100+ pages. Not that I'm complaining. LOL! You have to be in complete denial if you are not feeling and seeing the sparks fly across the screen with this two. Even Ole Stevie Wonder can SEE it y'all. In fact, its so explosive and almost TANGIBLE that the lines are blurred and one wonders of what is reel and real as the drama takes it run. And what more proof does one need when you have the BTS huh? SP's BTS has its own life form BTW. Hah! 

 

And what say have you when you CAPTIVATE the audience (the whole spectrum from skeptics at first, the curious types- I'll-just-watch-this-once-to-see-what-the-fuss-is-all-about only to become a dye-in-the-wool fan of both the drama and actors). Scrounging for more deets, patiently watching and scrutinizing videos and analyzing interviews, body language, and whatnots. So why do people in this thread from all walks of life, nationalities, background found a common ground here? Because there is SOMETHING here that we all believe to be worth our time to spazz about. So to all NAYSAYERS and BITTER BETTYs who are somewhat "CONCERNED", thank you for your opinion but will take that under advisement. Dissenting opinions are well and good but you better be prepared with your EVIDENCE counselor, because we will HOLD YOU IN CONTEMPT AND DECLARE YOU PERSONA NON GRATA (grins! sowee can't resist....). 

 

Seriously though, from what I observed, peeps in this thread are a welcoming and easy going bunch who is just enjoying harmless fun. But can smell a mile away a show of aggression in whatever guise or form.  Ergo, if NO RECEIPTS  then you might as well exit stage to the left. Unless, you too want to JOIN us.

 

 

RE: JCW'S THEATER BACGROUND & NJH's ACTING STRENGTH (honed as a child actress)

 

First off, let me just say that I have a bias for theater trained actors/actresses. This is not to discriminate and disparage actors who aren't but I just have high regard for theater actors for their dedication and discipline even though the pay scale is not as lucrative as their film counterparts. And more so for those who transitioned to film and make it big but never forget their roots.

 

I also take my hats off to CHARACTER ACTORS in film/TV and those big movie/TV stars now who have earned their accolades by starting in the lowest tier of the film industry's peking order (taking small parts and earning respect by elevating that role and stands out). I salute our hardworking actors/actresses in the SK ET industry who compared to their Brit/US counterparts works under grueling and terrible working conditions.

 

So I feel like a proud momma when I see actors like JCW, in his element and showcase his professionalism, intensity and commitment to his craft. And boy how he delivers partly because he has great support with production team from PD-nim and writer-nim at the helm.. who just makes the set so much fun as what we see and hear from the actors themselves. Its a great environment because from the looks of it they can bounce off ideas. Hence, the many adlibs that JCW does. Though I'm not discounting the fact that his stature in the industry and theater background gives him a certain clout in the set and the production team respects him as an actor.  And of course lest I forget, you can't bounce off ideas and intensity if you're acting partner is not receptive and equally brave to get out of her comfort zone and work on something new. Indeed, all the ELEMENTS IN UNIVERSE HAS ALIGNED. He is fortunate to have a partner in NJH. She might not have a theater background like him but her acting experience as a child actress and filmography somehow evens it out.  And IMHO, we as an audience is very lucky that they were able to collaborate with SP and we get to see a riveting partnership develops as the drama airs.

 

As an experienced actor with a theater background I can understand why JCW can be this intense and dedicated to bring forth authenticity to his acting. This is his first rom-com and though its fluff but it comes with challenges so I don't doubt that he came prepared. So I am not surprised that he employs methods to make his co-star comfortable in certain scenes (e.g. being playful, conversations, etc.). I'm sure its being discussed before hand and probably he informs his co-star(s) that they'll be plenty of adlibs as many theater actors are quite quick on their feet esp. in theater there's no retakes. But what surprises me is that though he is the consummate actor and has a rep for his professionalism, he allowed himself to be carried away and be vulnerable to gossip fodder with the excessive skinships which is at times more than what the scene asks and still continue with the said excessive skinships when the camera is not rolling for a take? How do you explain the playful acts, loving glances and mesmerized stares, caresses  and gestures in different level of intimacy  to NJW at the numerous BTS (I'm not going to elaborate because their little gestures, glances, gazes, stares, and intimate touches have been dissected from here to eternity,,LOL!). Well Okay maybe I'll give him a teeny bit of leeway for being human and a man at that kissing a beautiful young woman..yadada....BUT, see, my instinct and gut tells me, he is just not acting and method acting at that. There is no way you can fake this kind of attraction. JCW is a goner and so smitten that his feelings are pouring (sorry can't find a better word to use at the moment) out of his body and there are tell-tale signs of his body/glands betraying him. LOL!

 

So I'm going to compare my reaction to Jo Jung-suk another theater actor who transitioned to film in his roles as swoony and romantic lead in Ghostess,  K2H, YBLS. He's also one actor who does rom-com so well and have great chemistry with his co-stars that in OMG, him and PBY had their moments that makes me mutters, JJS has got some explaining to do with Gummy. LOL! But not to this extent and I can still discern, as JJS the actor and being great at it. Sorry, I am digressing....

 

Now, back to JCW. After watching some videos/fan cams of the 2014 KBS Awards, which another poster mentioned already and posted. Its maybe farfetched but by judging his body language during that event, IMO he's already got his eye on NJH. Though I don't know if NJH is acting oblivious (maybe she was) but its like watching two kids who are crushing on each other with the boy being the more obvious about it. [Tehee! ] He was fidgeting quite a lot (e.g. he keeps touching his nape and then moves his body and head to look behind him and in direct sight to NJH table. Maybe I missed it if its been posted, but there is a ZEA fan-cam video which shows JCW and NJW on the same frame as he laughed and faced the table of NJH and PSH when they were being interviewed at their table (I've bookmarked the link so I'll discuss this in another post). Who knows just complete conjecture on my part and its my shipper's heart projecting.

 

But based on experience, if a guy is really interested and invested, he's going to make things happens (why does this sound a line from an ad?). In Jibong's case its just a matter of time, if its not happening already. 

 

Anyhoo, I'm going to cut my musings and make part 2 of my post as this is so long already. I still what to opine on Wrap Party, about NJH and speculate on how her management team will handle her personal life in this situation  in whatever decision is made with regards to a relationship with JCW and the effects it will have on her future prospects and career plans. Ya know she's a woman after all. And be it in ET or whichever industry, women are always at a disadvantage. More so, in the Asian entertainment industry.

@ginger85 @riririru im not familiar with Mary Palmer too and had to google it to understand. Thank q google and fellow teachers here for learning a new term. Fans myself aft that .. I need to add it will come in handy during his enlistment. 

I thk on the main thread someone explained how military service works in Korea. No cellphones allowed. So he would just rely on memories (n if Hes smart he should develop a photo of her). N aft serving 100days he gets 4days off. Really not easy. So hope time flies fast for him, for them.
