Since this Billboard thingy today is such a big deal and all, I had a thought. Isn't it possible that ZZ spent these past four, five days (i.e. the days we considered him MIA) rehearsing his butt off for this event?

I mean, he's never done anything remotely like this before, has he? A huge audience, with a lot of peers (right?) in the audience (and with JY in the audience!) and performing live. I know I would be in some serious rehearsal-mode if I were him.

So my guess is that he wasn't resting at all, but sang and danced his *ss off, and probably fretted a lot over this performance for a few days.

He takes things like this very seriously, it seems, so I'm also quite certain he'll do excellent!

I know that before some agreed that GH and BLY's relationship is not S/M only some part of it but we tend to agree that it's part of the roleplay between the young men. But, in the rape scene. it was pure torture, or?

for the first theory

First he took him beyond his will, then he took his blindfold off to make him see what's happening, then when the girl arrived, he took off the towel from his mouth, though he is still tied, and keep riding him for her to see. But in the process he is violating him, and shaming him. If they're both in to that, I do not mind it. As part of the BD sometimes one's partner like the feel of being violated against their own will. If this is the case, then I can relate on how 'easy' BLY forgave GH for his action. 

Second theory

I can just made an observation since GH seems to know BLY's preference in sex, all the vulgar talk, sometimes the roughness, isn't the way he 'rape' him also to the extent that he knows his beloved would to some degree enjoy that? That's why he was still so calm saying that the pain will go away soon. The pain that caused him to bedrest for 5 days. I think was just because it was their first time, and GH's intention was not pure to please him but to make SH disappear. But, I do not believe that both in the process of the rape love making they do not enjoy each other.

I tend to agree to the latter theory myself, since if that is pure rape, then I have no possible explanation on BLY's coming back to GH other than an act of a masochist and then the Stockholm Syndrome song the other day really apply to this situation.

Let's assume that ZZ's muscles are JY's priority, he used to be muscular but then he thinned out saying it suited his image as a model, and therefore he doesn't have time/or care to work out for muscular build; or! working out may affect certain muscles devoting to jiujitsu

There's the 2nd kidnap and the violent rape scene. Rape is rape, no two ways about it. Not only is it wrong, it is a crime. And then there're all the other sensitive elements related to the military like BLY stealing helicopters and planes to fly across border (to HK!) to rescue GH; digging tunnels; masochistic commanders; bribery; misuse of power; misc GH's violent tendencies/acts etc etc.

I want a Season 2 because I want to see GH and BLY again. I love their interactions and their love story. But Season 2, if one follows the original novel, would no longer about the exploration of first love, coming of age, challenges to overcome in the face of adversity and societal disapproval -- things that we could all relate to and cheer for.

Frankly, I really don't see how Season 2 can happen as is. And if it does, somehow... I think even a diehard fan like me just cannot approve and enjoy. What's more, imagine the amount of backlash from anti-fans on JY and ZZ if they were to act in it.

I know practically everyone here is waiting and clamouring for Season 2. But what are your thoughts truly if it really were to happen? Is this what you truly want to watch and what you want JY and ZZ to be a part of? Am I overthinking?

idk how far ss2 would reach since the novel itself is really long. However, ss1 is well-received probably since it's school-theme, while the second half of first volume is getting sensitive (e.g starting with playing truant, skipping classes or sth like that) along with the rape scene and other smexy parts, and IF ss2 extends to volume to, it'll be really challenge. Not to mention about the budget, just about casting, where to find beautiful girls working for GH's company, and how do they manipulate military scenes, which is a sensitive theme to the gov too. I reckon either they get to adjust the plot, or add some indications then move to next shots. and IF that's the case, of extending ss2 to volume 2, *delulu mode on* we'd have more than 15 ep lol

CJD should probably rewrite many of these iffy parts for the series. I agree that so many things in the next part of the novel are wildly exaggerated and even illegal. Regardless, when reading the translations and relating that to what I saw in season 1, I still see a lot of possibilities and I can still feel CJD's voice in the writing. I just hope, for everyone's sake, that season 2 actually happens and in an acceptable manner. I don't see the interest in timmy and johny holding for very long if they're one-hit wonders and the interest in them is mainly tied to shangyin. Without it, many fans will gradually lose interest unless they manage to snag roles that get great reception as well.

I just wrote about my opinion on the rape in the previous page. But, I honestly don't see how they're going to survive season 2 without changing a lot of details in the novel. 

I just read the whole translation that I could have found and my favorite part would be the first 10 chapters. Maybe because the detailed translation or maybe because it gives the background of the story. How you can make a season 2 without making it a complete soft porn is beyond me. But, am sure they can manage this. But, after reading the novel I am not sure I want season 2 too. And am not sure if it'll be good for their career as well. There's way too much porn than actual story line. Or maybe it was just in my head. I really enjoy reading your posts. Keep 'em coming!
