I don't call myself a big fan or die hard fan of Jerry Yan. I never followed him like many of his die hard fans since 2001, till today.

I only started following his news (old and new) last year when I started his CDrama - Loving, Never Forgetting.  

in reality, what capture my heart about Jerry Yan is; he is a very kind and simple big boy, I am touched by his goodness and attitudes, the TLC that he showers to the people around him.

Yes, hello~~~~~ I don’t deny that Jerry Yan may not be as popular as in his heyday after Meteor Garden, but he still command his value in the industry.

 

for a low profile artist like him (he makes only one drama a year) and yet he is able to survive in this competitive industry where there are many strong male artists in the Mainland China, Hong Kong, even in his own hometown.  He still has the charms to command the main lead in one of the CDramas, how many artists have such a charm like him?  I guess there are still big avenues for him to venture.

 

nobody's perfect, no matter how popular an artist is, still there will be some/many viewers find faults and condemn the artist, and I believe Jerry Yan will be more than glad to take in any constructive remarks and accusations, to work on it and improve himself further, as he is well-known for being hardworking and is a perfectionist.  this is him, humble and yet lovable.

 

to me, to utter something which has no value and not intended to be factual, just based on own mighty opinion and 小猫几只’s comments, then drew a big conclusion and ended it will a full stop, and threw this onto people, I guess its very irresponsible.

this drama could have got even much higher number of clicks, but the look and acting of Jerry Yan make a lot of audience stop watching. There are comments about this.

"Best" had over 1.5b viewers, and there were many good records and recommendations on Jerry and the casts, it has even higher ratings than the “Diamond Lover” on 5Sep, so fans of Tiffany and Rain should point fingers at one another too?

 

不知所谓, blind and ignorant to see the positive feedback, and still insisted the bad ratings with no evidence, and was very irresponsible.. I guess this person has to go back to school, to learn how to be a responsible person for own words and actions.  You can say anything provided please do your math and data tabulations to show and support your stand. 

 

Next time when producer/director Wong Jing (王晶) needs any 小鲜肉, I will write in to him and recommend you, and hopefully you take this opportunity to outshine Jerry Yan, and bag all the credits

@corearen, i finally saw that scene on the basketball competition.  I missed this part b'cos I practically skipped ep31 n 32 since Li Tang was MIA .  thanks sharing, love the scene.. love the way how tang looked at her with admiration n interest ha, n the cheeky Tang touched her waist...

thanks sharing @corearen, yes, I thought he is a great artist, he improves a lot in his acting especially on the emotional part.. seeing his reddened eyes, I can't contain my emotions too and cried with him 

but there are a lot of negative critics on Jerry and refuse to acknowledge his achievement, and give him due credit.. they always claim that he is not able to act, and only depend on his good look to gain fame and popularity... but he has already passed the IDOL age right?  Time will tell… and I have big faith in him.  

if you have read the above interviews with some of the veteran artists or his co-stars.. one of them, the late Mr Hugh Lee.  He was a Taiwanese Golden Bell-award winning television actor and theatre director, a mentor and teacher to many of the Taiwanese artists.  Jerry Yan many years ago, think probably after Meteor Garden, approached the late Mr Lee for some acting tips.

The Late Mr Lee and his wife, Wang Yue (who played San Cai’s mother in Meteor Garden) in one of the Taiwanese Talk shows - Kangxi Lai Le, shared with Cai Kang Yong and Small S that Jerry is able to cry within 1.5seconds.

Even Maggie Jiang (Fu Fangsi) in one of the interviews said that Jerry will many times trying to give ideas on how they should do the scenes… there were some scenes not written in the script, he actually discussed it with the director if his ideas were feasible.. one of which was the scene that he threw her down into the fountain.. the two men looking suspiciously at Maggie when they were about to shoot the scene, and Maggie sensed something amiss and asked if they are throwing her in the water  so when you saw some cute and fun scenes in BEST, those were not written... but initiated by him... that's why producer Wang Jing mentioned that Li Tang mirrored Jerry in real life.. and trusted Jerry was the best choice for BEST 

He is very professional, the artists have contracts on the number of hours for shooting, and many the times, he overshot, and also, as the crew commented, he is very polite and will without fail always greet and thank the casts and crews.. a humble guy <3 <3

I am also anticipating Maggie Jiang's next project as well! It was my first time seeing her act in a drama so we'll have to see!

Having watched the final episode made me sad.  I like the ending though would have loved it more if there was a wedding [gowns and all sort of thing] ceremony but with the personalities of Li Tang ang Fang Si, both are known to do the unexpected.   I'd love to see her in a new drama.  As for Jerry Yan, in a few months it will be 2016 so yes, I'll patiently wait for his next drama

Tell me about it. I have been rewatching this drama because there's nothing better in Kdramaland and other Mainland dramas... the plot isn't entirely too cliche but interesting to make you keep going and wondering who she chooses in the end despite the obvious title.

As for Kdrama, I'm currently watching Scholar who walks the night which is also in its final episodes this week.  After this I'll be going on a rewind of sorts as I'll be watching Jerry Yan's 2014 drama.  I read somewhere that its a tear jerker which I hope not since Im not fond of heavy dramas.
