The blonde pictures are old. That was when he dyed his hair to detached him from GuQingMing. He was too attached to that character and had to change his look to come out of it.

if you are planning to collect the novels in Chinese， i would recommend the Taiwanese 7 Vol. set cos it's the only edition with all 3 FGG Side Stories.

I got the free trial for iTunes Apple Music and get to listen to the TJoF OST during the 3 month trial period. Hopefully the CD store will bring in physical copies of the album soon.

According to the composer, Track 02 The Dead End of Love is Sexy Shifu's Theme, 03 Scar is Pretty Flower's Theme and 09 Beautiful Look is Beautiful Sister's Theme. On the day of the recording, Wallace only had a few hours of sleep while shuttling between jobs in different places, he had a small glass of wine before recording the song and was done in about 1 and a half hours. Each time he recorded the song in full, and they only did about 7 or 8 takes before they decided they got the best version. The song came about because Zhao Li Ying really liked the drama and her role as filming progressed and pleaded with Wallace in the manner of Pretty Flower to please sing a duet with her for the OST, unexpectedly Wallace agreed, so there we have the song. Actually if you have heard Zhao Li Ying sing live in her debut days, she actually sang like a tone deaf, but she really worked really hard for this song, a rare chance for a duet with Wallace.

Has Wallace ever deny he has a relationship with Li Ying? If I'm not mistaken he never been ask such questions? And he seem to prevent that questions to pop up by telling from such early on that he feel like father / uncle to Li Ying. My thought is perhaps he do that so no one will ask the question if he has relationship with Li Ying hence he don't have to answer it because he once said that he won't lie if he is in a relationship just my two cents or I'm majorly completely ship those two a lot now can't wait to see those two singing live on HunanTV soon

@dominjoonssi The sterling silver bracelet is nice.  I actually have a pair of silver earrings which look a wee bit like the palace bell.  Just a query. Domin, so the duet was a last minute addition.  I guessed so because they recorded it so late .. more or less just before the drama started!   I think a lot fans were also asking for the lead stars to sing.  LiYing tone deaf?  Hahahha, domin you are so funny.  Haven't heard her so, so no idea.  But I think she did a wonderful job here.  

LOL, Qian Gu is really enjoying making Sifu the slave now.    Should have made him rub her back for her whilst she's taking bath.  The comics are funny.  The humourous interpretation by TJOF fans.

As for whether he has denied his relationship with Liying, well, no one ever asked if he was in a relationship in the first place but he has pre empt all questions when he said he feels like an uncle next to her, etc etc etc. That's your answer. He is not the type of deny any relationship, unless it is damaging his reputation. I don't think he is preventing questions by pre empt it with such statements so that he won't be asked and so he won't lie. Paps won't stop. Various articles says he is single. And like I said, press was overdrive with Tiffany with all the questions but not this one and seems to come from viet fans. He is not friendly with his female co stars. I am not sure where the impression of friendliness come from. He is only friendly with Ruby because he knew her for decades and she is fellow Taiwanese; he is friendly with Tang Yan because he knew her very long. Yang Zi is the only exception I see him being super friendly and speaking to her with a very affectionate eyes but I suppose the generation gap was too large for it to go anywhere. Liying and his behaviour around her suggest no special treatment. He's not a rude guy, and she's no diva. Any relationship they have is professional because now, I hear nor see no rumours of them together. Like I said; if they appear somewhere together where neither had any business to do so, then there's something and even then he had had teas and drinks and meetings and such with female friends/costars. HIs Huomis will take the pictures.

 

I love those photos with Yang Zi. It is really the most relaxed I have seen him and he looks fantastic there.

this seller has stated the item is geniune 925 silver, which means it's not silver plated like the rest of the other replicas. which is also why the bell is only 1.6cm, and not like the big replicas we see mass produced. so far the reviewers have also stated that it's genuine silver. one reviewer stated she bought the cheaper replicas before and it's obvious when you compare the two.

Zhao Li Ying really can't sing in her debut days, i saw a video of her once on a Hunan show I think, and it was flat tone singing. Actually, she's okay for the OST, but you can tell her part is tailored and catered for her, and she is actually doing the supporting voice for Wallace's main voice in the song.She and Liu Shi Shi are probably the same type, they don't really have the voice for singing, but if you tailor the song for them, they can render a decent tune.

@jolin_chan thanks dear it's been nice knowing you all. i will be re-watching the series when the original uncensored version comes out. after hearing the OST, it's really clear that the censorship and restricted editing has really ruined this show.

Given the amount of scrutiny there is now about a supposed relationship between LY and WH, and given how private both actors are, I doubt that they'll be easily caught even if they were together. They'll be flying under the radar and moving in stealth mode.

I don't get any hints of a romantic relationship between them, but then again, CX and MZ had no sparks either and they're a couple.

someone did a Wallace only cut for Battle of Changsha  will be watching that after TJoF. I don't like war dramas myself they are abit dry and dreary and I can't relate because of no shared history, though I must say, i really like the look of the drama and it's down to earth feel characteristic of Shan Ying Media Productions. Wallace is quite different here and actually he and Yang Zi have a different but still likeable kind of chemistry together, it's sorta cute to see them together.  

unfortunately there are no subs for this and you need a Baidu account for the downloading as the files can get quite big. the very nice person also did the Wallace cut for some of his other dramas, The Courier Escort (?) Service (the one he shaved his head for), his cameo in Great Incisive Teacher and she's doing one for TJoF too. No Perfect Couple. the thing about mainland drama is sometimes the cast is huge and too many multiple story lines, so it's really nice when fans do a cut, when you just want to watch for one person.
