I think it is pretty amazing how the characters developed so well.
First,we are so used to Daejang being cool and a person with few words but we actually get to see him talk a lot more and see more expressions from him. There are even moments were we are like omg, did Daejang really say that. For example in today's ep where he said until than I will try to spend as much time as possible with you and make you laugh. I was like wow, that just came out of Daejang's mouth. 
Also, ES's character developed into such depth. In the beginning remember how she wants to bring items back to her time, eating, etc. Now she like the most is the nature. She can't let anyone in her heart, now she is letting people in. Remembering them, also wanting to leave so bad, but now want to stay.
All the characters are so great, perfect for their roles!

Well I got nothing to say about the rating, besides online rating probably way more. I guess I also hope the ending will reach double digits. Today's hook is really good, plus it is the ending right. 
I can't believe it is ending tomorrow, time for me to wait for its dvd release and buy that!

For a penultimate episode, it was a little bit subdued. I was expecting some fireworks, but I should have known by now, Faith is at its best with subtle moments. And we got a lot of those in this episode. 

Things I love from Ep. 23:
- Eun-soo. I've been wanting to wait til the show ends to analyse this character, but after 23 episodes, I think I have enough insights into the makeup of this character. I absolutely adore her, and she's is easier for me to figure out than Choi Young. In short, she knows what her heart wants and never wavers, unlike Choi Young. There's a whole of list of why I think she's awesome:

1) She is practical and materialistic to some extent. But who isn't in this world? There is a sense of realism about her that viewers can relate. After what she's gone through in the last 23 episodes, she still recognizes there are worldly possessions such as clothes, food, nice things etc... to own.
2) She is not a typical damsel in distress. Anyone who characterizes her that way probably sees the show the wrong way. Yes, she does need protection a lot; people want her left and right. But that is the world the writer creates for Eun-soo -  a heavenly being who can foresee the future, who doesn't want a piece of that? 
3) Knowing dangers surrounding her, Eun-soo never loses her fighting or surviving spirit. We learn from earlier episodes that she hates blood and death that's why she stays far away from general surgery and chooses plastic surgery as an occupation. The job doesn't require much emotional investment in the care of patients. Everything is cosmetic and superficial. For twenty three (and soon to be 24) we see her transformation from that indifferent being to someone who does not fear death and has compassion. She is willing to accept the worst outcome, but her acceptance is born out of a recognition that her actions is to survive, to live. Yes, death will always be there, but she doesn't spend every waking moment thinking of that inevitable end. I find her very heroic, at times more so than Daejang Choi Young. 
4) Her actions are easier to understand mainly because we know her heart. She cares for Choi Young; her time-travelling experiences show us her love for him, a love that "transcends time and space". But I also love that what she does is NOT a sacrifice for the greater good of Goryeo or anything like that. Her actions are done because her heart demands them to be done - simply out of love for a person.

Okie. I am back  
before I go off to watch the episode again, I have to say..I am more happy with this episode than last week. Last week's episode broke my heart so badly. Of course. Every week, it does. I cried in this episode, too. Yes I did. But they were tears of pure love for my Imja couple and the bromance between our Woodalchi warrior and his daejang. Last week, my tears were for the heart break of our Imja couple..this week, it was pure love of tears for them. Yes. Things still don't look so well but at least we see our swooning moments. And I am, as always, uneasy about KC. Which makes me worry for ES even more since now they know where she is, it means there is a chance they can take her away again. I keep having this thought at the ending scene where ES wakes up..that she will see FireGirl and FluteBoy standing there..ahhhh! the thought And the ending scene with CY makes me nervous. It's a trap to lure him away. I think. But I will not focus my thoughts on this anymore. But I don't think the scene where CY is at the house in the dream will show up. I mean, the clothes he had on then is different from the one he has on now..so..it is not the same. But anything can happen. Aish. Instead, I will turn my attention to our Imja couple.
First and foremost, I tried to avoid as little recaps as possible since I was at work til 12pm today but, it was well worth it. I went 'awwwww' at every moment of our Imja couple. I love how openly CY opens up to ES now. There is no words for it, actually. At this point, I cannot say much about this episode until tomorrow's episode. I feel like these two last episodes are the tie to each other so I can't speak much about this episode without seeing the last episode. So, instead, I will just say this much tomorrow, I am sure I will have a lot to say. But for now, I am keeping the Faith for a happy ending.
@toychoi: You definitely are a Great Doctor. You kept Daejang in safe hands and look at him now. We have so many sweet confessions from him to his Eun Soo. And you even talked him into demanding that ES escort him! Whoa! I am proud of you. I think you should really reconsider the suggestion of accepting GC into your therapy session. I think he really needs some kind of help from a greatness somewhere. Now, I know that what is making him sick is his greed. I always thought it was his ki or something but after his talk with ES, it's actually his greed that is making him like that. And ES is right. In heaven, there are more patients with the same illness as him. Sighs. I actually kind of feel bad for KC. I mean, not to the point where I will be able to see all his bathing scene but, kind of like a pitying way for him. But then again, I am rooting for him as side dish at the cook-out so I am not too kind either )
@myphim: We got lots of our OTP scenes today. Have you done your gifs yet? As always, I have a request. Damn, I have too many. So, can I request it like this instead? Can you just make me random stills of our OTP for me? please. BTW, was Deol Bae ever one of your puppies? I wanted to say that he made me ( ( with his loyalty and love for his General. I am so proud of him too.

ES comes to the rescue again. CY will be shocked and happy to see her alive. Is it just me but his hand problem started around the time he found out ES  was poisoned. That is a sign that he needs her to be ok. I hope he takes back his words of cancelling his proposal. GC better not force her to go back to her world with him. Why do I have a feeling in my gut that ES will accidentally get pulled to her world. However we did get many things that we asked for in the drama. All i want is a happy ending. No! I demand a happy ending for our OTP. They deserve a happy ending after going through so much.

Right now I' m watching the scene were ES asked them all to stand together and it looked like they were taking an imaginary picture, though i wonder if they were looking at a camera?
