On the SBS Power FM radio'Choi Hwa-jung's Power Time', which aired on the 1st, actors Oh Man-seok and Lee Sang-i appeared as guests in the musical'Gentleman's Guide.

On this day, Man-seok Oh said, “It's a real foul. Don't you always go around with steam. He praised him for being handsome.”

“Hyunbin is quiet, witty and humorous,” he said. “He takes care of the people around him really well. He is very considerate, and it makes the atmosphere of the site enjoyable.”

Allure Korea Chooses Hyun Bin And Son Ye-jin As 'Couple Of The Year'

 

Beauty and women's magazine Allure Korea has chosen "Crash Landing On You" stars Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin as "Couple of the Year." 

 

Allure Korea also recalled the best moments from the popular TV series. 

 

"Speaking of the couple of the year in the 2020 drama, it was obviously Yoon Se-ri and Lee Jung-hyuk of [Crash Landing on Love] achieved the highest ratings on tvN and became a popular couple," the magazine said in its official statement.

 

"Son Ye-jin and Hyun-bin, who played Lee Jung-hyuk, and Son Ye-jin, who shouted 'Lee Jung-hyuk' with tearful eyes, proved they were 'Roco materials' once again."

 

The magazine's choice circulated on social media, with several netizens re-posting about the feature on their feeds.

The year 2020 is almost over, and we have spent it watching great Korean dramas. Although the year has been a roller coaster ride due to the ongoing pandemic, it was still a great year, especially for the Korean drama industry.

 

Moving forward, what do you think makes a perfect drama? Of course, the storyline is one fact, and of course, it won't be perfect without the main actors! There are plenty of actors who have showcased their abilities in acting, and they were able to bring to life the characters they portray so that we can fully immerse ourselves in the drama. But among all the good actors, we have chosen only five that we consider as strong contenders for this year's 'Best Actor' Awards.

In "Crash Landing on You," Hyun Bin portrays the character of Captain Ri, a proficient but emotionally reserved captain in the Korean People's Army. He was born from a powerful political family but he prefers to keep his political background a secret. He was studying to become a concert pianist in Switzerland, but he was forced to join the North Korean military following his older brother's mysterious death. Captain Ri was the person who saved Se Ri after she accidentally crash-lands in North Korea. As he tries to help Se Ri find her way back into South Korea, he begins to have romantic feelings towards her.

 

The drama is also the highest-rated tvN drama and the third highest-rated South Korean TV drama in cable television history.

For many, Korean dramas have been nothing short of a cocoon for the past few months where we have had to be confined to the four walls of our houses. Moreover, 2020 saw some really heartwarming dramas like Crash Landing on You and It's Okay to Not Be Okay which managed to etch a memorable mark in the hearts of the viewers. It was also the chemistry between the main leads which had fans going gaga over certain dramas.

 

In K-dramas, the sweet tension leading up to that first kiss is almost like a special trait which leaves fans hooked, line and sinker. In 2020 too, we had our fair share of on-screen kisses which left us cooing over the pairs. Let's start with Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin in Crash Landing on You, who shared quite a few kisses that were passionate and spoke volumes of the growing relationship between star-crossed lovers Ri Jung-hyuk (Bin) and Yoon Se-ri (Ye-jin). On the other hand, Nam Joo-hyuk and Suzy's palpable chemistry in Start-Up shined through their kisses with Seo Dal-mi (Suzy) confidently reeling a shy Nam Do-san (Joo-hyuk) in to seal the deal.

 

How can we forget Lee Min-ho and Kim Go-eun in The King: Eternal Monarch? As Lee Gon (Min-ho) and Jung Tae-eul (Go-eun), the pair dabbled between a powerful kiss and a fairytale style kiss which left fans swooning over them wishing they'd be a real-life couple. Then there's Kim Soo-hyun and Seo Ye-ji in It's Okay to Not Be Okay, who left viewers shy with their tantalising chemistry. Moon Gang-tae (Soo-hyun) and Ko Mun-yeong's (Ye-ji) heated kisses felt like their life depended on it and is there really another type of kiss we would like to watch in a Korean drama?!
