Highlight of Episode 52

Oh Young Shim and Moon Shin Woo kneeling in the rain. Oh Young Shim asked him to leave as he can catch cold. Moon Shin Woo says to be able to stand at her side like this is also great. The younger ladies of Manwoldang cheered them on with their support and will go in and speak to Halmeoni

Hye Ja begs Halmeoni to allow Oh Young Shim to come in from the rain. Geum Shil and the rest tells Halmeoni and Hye Ja that Moon Shin Woo is also kneeling in front with Oh Young Shim. Both ladies are surprise

Myeong Joo is upset about Hye Ja's threat. Myeong Joo tries to call Moon Shin Woo but no answer so she tries Oh Young Shim's phone only to have Hye Ja picking up the call. Hye Ja informs her that her son is kneeling outside their front door. Myeong rushes over with Jin Woo

Halmeoni and Hye Ja comes out and look at our couple who have fallen asleep while kneeling. On arriving at Manwoldang, Jin Woo recognizes that it is Hye Won's home. Myeong Joo makes a ruckus in seeing Moon Shin Woo kneeling in front of Manwoldang. Hye Won hides herself. Myeong Joo hurls insults while Moon Shin Woo and Jin Woo tries to calm their mother down. Jin Woo also introduces himself as Moon Shin Woo's brother.

Halmeoni asks them to leave while tells Oh Young Shim to come into the house. Oh Young Shim apologizes to Myeong Joo. Moon Shin Woo asks Oh Young Shim to go in and he will call her later. Jin Woo asks Moon Shin Woo to take their mother home first

Hye Won came out from her hiding place and Jin Woo learns that Hye Won and Oh Young Shim are sisters-in-law. Jin Woo says how strange fate can be. Hye Won says she never mentions of Moon Shin Woo's courting Oh Young Shim as she never think that they both has come this far. Jin Woo says thanks to Moon Shin Woo, he is able to see Hye Won.

Halmeoni still insist on Oh Young Shim leaving Manwoldang. Geum Shil and the rest packs their bag and tells Halmeoni that if Oh Young Shim goes, they will leave too and Halmeoni can stay at Manwoldang all alone

Halmeoni is in her room and Hye Ja also agrees that Oh Young Shim is to stay

Geum Shil mentions that the scene with Moon Shin Woo kneeling at Oh Young Shim's side is like in the movies. The ladies wanders whether Halmeoni will be all right from such a shock. Hye Ja comes out and serves Oh Young Shim her dinner. Hye Ja says that she has nothing against Moon Shin Woo but she is against Oh Young Shim marrying into Myeong Joo's family. Hye Ja says that after such a scene, she asks Young Shim to really think about it.

Next morning, Halmeoni went missing.

Moon Shin Woo asks Oh Young Shim whether she is fine and did not catch cold. Oh Young Shim says she is fine but Halmeoni has left home without a words. Moon Shin Woo says he will take care of it while asking Oh Young Shim to prepare for her Host interview

Moon Shin Woo asks about his schedule and tells his secretary to make his day free

Oh Young Shim and Im Ji Eun have a spar in words

Jin Woo and Hye Won begins a new chapter of romance. Jin Woo wants to meet Hye Won's family but Hye Won says the situation with Moon Shin Woo and Oh young Shim is not favourable. Furthermore, the family does not know about the matter of Hong Chul and herself. Hye Won says to take it slowly. Jin Woo is surprised how things turned out that she is oh Young Shin's sister-in-law and Hye Won says she did not know that Oh Young Shim's suitor is his younger brother. Jin Woo and Hye Won laugh together

Hye Won and Se Ryung meet. Hye Won asks Se Ryung that she still wants to stay at her ex-husband's hotel. Se Ryung spots the ring and asks whether there is a proposal. Hye Won says she has receive a proposal. Se Ryung tells Hye Won that she should leave after the matter and Hye Won says that she and Jin Woo are not characters for her to control.

Hye Ja calling friends and relatives for Halmeoni's whereabouts. Geum Shil is surprised when Suk Nam asks whether Halmeoni has been found. Suk Nam lies and says because he met Soon Jung earlier.

Halmeoni went to Hong Goo's grave and is crying. Moon Shin Woo comes and calls her. Halmeoni is surprised him. Moon Shin Woo says that he has been here before as he had come to ask for Hong Goo's blessing on his relationship with Oh Young Shim. Moon Shin Woo asks for Halmeoni's approval. Halmeoni refused but Moon Shin Woo is persistent in seeing to Halmeoni.

Moon Shin Woo says there is no bus now and asks her to get into his car. Halmeoni refused but suddenly Halmeoni has stomach pain. Halmeoni has a call of nature. Halmeoni has no choice but to go with Moon Shin Woo. Moon Shin Woo informs Oh Young Shim that he has found Halmeoni and ask her not to worry. Halmeoni. Oh Young Shim is relief and gave Moon Shin Woo a kiss on the phone. Moon Shin Woo is pleased and tells Oh Young Shim not to worry about Halmeoni as he will see to her home. Halmeoni overhears this.

Hye Ja is happy with Halmeoni being found and Geum Shil is surprised that it is Moon Shin Woo who found her. Geum Shil says their love must be really strong to know to find to Hong Goo's grave. Hye Ja laments why he has to be the son of her enemy.

Myeong Joo think back on seeing Moon Shin kneeling in front of Manwoldang says to herself she cannot let this be and called Oh Young Shim to meet at Queens Hotel. Oh Young Shim is surprised at the venue

Moon Shin Woo sends Halmeoni home but she does not want to so he took her to a jimjimbang (sauna house). Halmeoni scolds two young couple for promiscuous actions but the couple ignores Halmeoni and talk back. Moon Shin Woo comes upon the scene and tells the young couple to apologize or else he will get mad at them. They did so and Halmeoni is impressed and touched.

Moon Shin Woo takes Halmeoni to the officetel he has rented for Oh Young Shim and tells her to take a rest. Moon Shin Woo asks Halmeoni to rest easily as he will go and get some things. Moon Shin Woo leaves and Halmeoni is even more impressed with Moon Shin Woo's character. Halmeoni takes a rest on the sofa.

Halmeoni wakes up on hearing Hye Ja and Geum Shil's voices. Moon Shin Woo has brought them both to take Halmeoni home. Geum Shil tells her mother that she is amazed at her mother's attics of disapproving Moon Shin Woo and Oh Young Shim while she herself is dallying in his company.

Myeong Joo comes out with another tactic of taking poison in front of Oh Young Shim. However, Oh Young Shim already know Myeong Joo's bluff. Myeong Joo threaten either she breaks off with Moon Shin Woo or Myeong Joo will take the poison. Oh Young Shim tells Myeong Joo that she does not need to take the poison as Oh Young Shim will take it herself. Oh Young Shim opens the bottle and takes the tablets. Myeong Joo is in horrors.

I can see where SR is going to be a thorn in JW and HW's relationship. I'm sort of worried about SW's father, will he hit the roof when he is introduced to YS?I guess introductions will not be in this week's episode. Bimbibap, you are doing great without any help from your sister. You deserve more than one dessert!! Maybe a whole months worth. I know I couldn't eat a whole months worth, I'd turn into the Goodyear blimp!!! Ha, ha

Highlights from Episode 53

Oh Young Shim takes the tablets. Oh Young Shim says that it was something and it is what Moon Shin Woo says his mother is taking. Myeong Joo is in horrors that Moon Shin Woo knows of this as well. Oh Young Shim says Yes. Oh Young Shim kneels in front of Myeong Joo to approve their relationship but Myeong Joo still refuses.

Myeong Joo went to see Jin Woo to vent her anger on what happened. Hye Won came by the office and Myeong Joo suggests a meal with Hye Won together and to bring Viviana as well. Jin Woo and Hye Won are delighted that Myeong Jo looks favorable towards Hye Won.

Oh Young Shin went home to find Moon Shin Woo fixing the dog house and Halmeoni was very friendly with him. Good feeling resumes once again for Moon Shin Woo at Manwoldang. Moon Shin Woo eat many bowls of cold noodles. Mon Shin Woo comments that he and his brother are really different from their parents and Hye Ja says that was indeed good news.

Moon Shin Woo suffers from indigestion. Oh Young Shim asks why he ate so much. Moon Shin Woo says he did it to impress Grandmother. Oh Young Shim says that it is indeed hard on him. Moon Shin Woo says it is nothing compare to the shock his mother did on Oh Young Shim. Moon Shin Woo apologizes on his mother's behalf.

Moon Shin Woo asks how Oh Young Shim's preparation for the PT interview. Oh Young Shim says she has done her best. Moon Shin Woo says he will not be helping her and Oh Young Shim says she can do it on her own merits

Hye Ja tells Oh Young Shim that it is good that Halmeoni looks favourably on Moon Shin Woo. Oh Young Shim says her thanks. Hye Ja still expresses her concern of sending Oh Young Shim to Myeong Joo's household

Moon Shin Woo comes home and informs President Moon that he will bring home his girlfriend to meet them. President Moon is delighted while Myeong Joo is gasping in horrors.

Camera Test for the Shopping Host interview. Moon Shin Woo sends a message of support to Oh Young Shim.

Myeong Joo tries the soft approach this time with Hye Ja. Still met with a dead end.

Oh Young Shim comes up for her camera test. Moon Shin Woo mouths out "beautiful" in silence. Oh Young Shim introduces her choice of product to present which is "Kan Ja". Oh Young Shim tells the history behind it.

Hye Won takes Viviana to meet Jin Woo and Myeong Joo. Myeong Joo is delighted how the three of them look together. Myeong Joo noticed the rings on all of their fingers including Viviana and realized how serious the relationship is at. Se Ryung walked in and tells Hye Won that she manages to charm Jin Woo and now working on Myeong Joo.

Myeong Joo asks what Se Ryung is rattling about as they no longer has any ties since Jin Woo has given her everything she wanted. Viviana cries and Hye Won carries her out. Myeong Joo scolds Se Ryung to leave and asks Jin Woo to bring back Hye Won and Viviana back. Jin Woo carries Viviana and Se Ryung says to Hye Won that she indeed has her ways to Myeong Joo.

The results is announced and the last candidate who made it is Oh Young Shim. Oh Young Shim is delighted and Moon Shin Woo gives a thumbs up sign on the side to congratulate Oh Young Shim.

President Moon is pleased of Oh Young Shim's performance. Moon Shin Woo says that Oh Young Shim has the ability to reach their customers of all ages.

Oh Young Shim called Hye Ja and informs her the good news. Hye Ja says from now on they will be able to see her on TV. Hye Ja tells Oh Young Shim she has done well. Hye Ja tells Oh Young to come home for a celebration meal. Halmeoni overhears this and asks Hye Ja to get Oh Young Shim to invite Moon Shin Woo.

Hye Ja goes to the market. Suk Nam takes this opportunity to accompany Hye Ja and they had a pleasant outing.

Geum Shil meets Hye Ja and Suk Nam at the front gate of Manwoldang. Suk Nam leaves in a hurry. However, Geum Shil spots Hye Won and Viviana is send home by Jin Woo. Geum Shil asks Hye Won is she having an affair. Hye Won asks Viviana to go in and Hye Won says that the one having an affair is Hong Chul in the Philippines. Geum Shil asks why she did not tell and Hye Won says how can she mention it with all that is happening with Oh Young Shim and Moon Shin Woo. Geum Shil says not to mention it at all to Hye Ja on it

Moon Shin Woo cannot believe that they are going to a congratulations party by her family. Oh Young Shim says it is so nice to get an approval by the family.

Moon Shin Woo says he is really happy and moreover his father has been complimenting Oh Young Shim. Oh Young Shim tells not to put his hope too high on his family's side of approval. Moon Shin Woo wonders why is he invited as well.

Halmeoni says that is no real agenda except to have a meal. Moon Shin Woo says he has ate well. Geum Shil says Halmeoni asks a busy man just to come to have a meal. Hye Ja tells Halmeoni to says what she wants to say. Halmeoni tells Oh Young Shim and Moon Shin Woo to go ahead and get marry. Oh Young Shim and Moon Shin Woo are surprised. Oh Young Shim asks she needs not leave Manwoldang and Moon Shin Woo says his thanks. Halmeoni nods.

Highlight of Episode 54

Halmeoni tells Oh Young Shim and Moon Shin Woo to go ahead and marry. Oh Young Shim and Moon Shin Woo are surprised. Oh Young Shim says she needs not leave Manwoldang and Halmeoni says Yes. Moon Shin Woo says Thank You. Oh Young Shim and Moon Shin Woo hugs each other in happiness while Halmeoni coughs a little over their enthusiasm. Everyone congratulates them.

Moon Shin Woo is delighted that Halmeoni gives her approval and they are really a couple now. Moon Shin Woo says he is most happy

Oh Young Shim walked in after sending Moon Shin Woo off and Hye Ja asks was she that happy. Oh Young Shim apologizes for being some apparent with her feelings. Hye Ja says she is just pulling her leg. Hye Ja asks whether Oh Young Shim is displeased with her on her earlier disapproval. Oh Young Shim says she understands Hye Ja's feelings. Hye Ja says although they have approved on their side but Oh Young Shim still has Myeong Joo to reckon with. However, Hye Ja tells Oh Young Shim to go in and rest.

Halmeoni asks Hye Ja that what she done today was the right decision and Hye Ja says it is correct. Halmeoni feels a relief in giving the approval. Hye Ja says Halmeoni has always been a suave person. Halmeoni says that Hye Ja will have a hard time looking at how Myeong Joo is no ordinary person. Halmeoni cries a little on her own disappointments.

The younger ladies of Manwoldang have a drinking party to celebrate. Geum Shil asks how Oh Young Shim is feeling on getting the approval and says she is really happy. Hye Won asks Oh Young Shim has not been officially introduces to the family yet. Oh Young Shim says she has not been. Soon Jung wonders how her child will addresses Moon Shin Woo. Yun Jung says they will just addresses him like their brother-in-law (sister's husband). The ladies gave their cheers again

Oh Young Shim practices her lines for the final interview

President Moon asks Moon Shin Woo to bring his girlfriend home today. Myeong Joo says no and gives many excuses. President Moon refuses to listen to Myeong Joo's prattles and tells Moon Shin Woo to bring home his girlfriend. Moon Shin Woo says his father will not be disappointed. Myeong Joo is speechless to say anything more. Jin Woo also shows his support and tells Moon Shin Woo to have strength.

Myeong Joo laments to Moon Shin Woo on whether he needs to bring chaos into this family with his widow. Myeong Joo says his father will flipped when he knows it is Oh Young Shim. Myeong Joo says whether she needs to prepare some medication for President Moon's shock later. Moon Shin Woo tells his mother that he will leave in his mother's good hands for the meeting tonight.

Moon Shin Woo waits for Oh Young Shim at the elevator and hugs her and her a final support of courage and advice as Oh Young Shim is full of nerves.

Oh Young Shim meets Im Ji Eun and she informs Oh Young Shim that she will be on the panel of judges in the final interview. Im Ji Eun says she will not let Oh Young Shim have her way so easily. Oh Young Shim's confidence dropped a little on hearing it.

Hye Won says that she has not tell the family about Jin Woo and her as Oh Young Shim's matter is the main concern till now. But Hye Won expresses her concern on how Viviana takes to a new father. Although Viviana likes Jin Woo Woo but does not know her reaction to Jin Woo as her father. Jin Woo expresses concern that Viviana should not get hurt by this. Hye Won says she will handle the matter. Jin Woo asks Hye won when she will change the manner of addresses him. Hye Won calls him Jin Woo ssi for the first time and Jin Woo likes it.

Se Ryung calls Jin Woo to meet her very ill father but Jin Woo refuses. Hye Won asks whether Se Ryung has an urgent matter and Jin Woo tells Hye Won they should just be interested in the matter of just the three of them ... Hye Won, Viviana and himself.

The ladies made "tok" (rice cake) at Manwoldang. Hye Ja calls Myeong Jo to meet

Suk Nam advised the ladies not to argue and to speak nicely to each other. Hye Ja gives Myeong Joo the "tok". Myeong Joo asks they still make this at home when they are plenty to buy from shops. Myeong Joo says is their lives that hard. Hye Ja says she will take it back but Myeong Joo grabs it back in return. Hye Ja says over the matter of their children, Halmeoni has approved so Hye Ja to allow for the approval on heir side as well. Myeong Joo says that Hye Ja disapproval earlier buy Hye Ja says she did but the children loves each other what can she do about it. Myeong Joo says she will never approved of Oh Young Shim. Hye Ja says there nothing she can do but to accept Moon Shin Woo into their household instead as the live-in son-in-law. Myeong Joo screams at Hye Ja for such a thought.

Soon Jung continues with school. Yun Jung buys a pair of shoes for Ban Gun's daughter.

Oh Young Shim goes in for her final stage of her interview. Im Ji Eun comments Oh Young Shim to speak of another subject hoping to make Oh Young Shim falter but Oh Young Shim takes the challenge with a stride and performs with flying colours. She receives applause even from president Moon who is really impressed.

Oh Young Shim makes it as a Shopping Host. Oh Young Shim says that even Im Ji Eun changes the subject she was so nervous but she finally pulls it through. Moon Shin Woo says that is why Oh Young Shim is a talent to be reckon with. Oh Young Shim says that Im Ji Eun tries to falter her and Oh Young Shim says she will not fall so easily. Moon Shin Woo likes to give Oh Young Shim a congratulation party but his father wants to meet Oh Young Shim today. Oh Young Shim says she is so happy that she has the confidence to stand next to President Moon.

President Moon compliments Oh Young Shim in a interview and ends with President Moon taking a photo with Oh Young Shim.

Jin Woo learns of Se Ryung's father death. Jin Woo rushes to the funeral parlour and a weeping Se Ryung asks Jin Woo to leave. Se Ryung blames Jin Woo for not seeing her father off for the last time allowing her father to have regrets. Jin Woo apologizes. Se Ryung says that he has been so full of happiness with Hye Won. Se Ryung says she will not allow him to do so. Se Ryung tears their divorce document and says they are not divorce and she will remain by his side till death.

President Moon comes and found out that Myeong Joo has just ordered in "jajangmyung" for the meeting with Moon Shin Woo's girlfriend. President Moon is shocked at such a disgraceful spread and seek Myeong Joo out who says that it is the best spread for Moon Shin Woo's girlfriend. President Moon asks waht was she talking about and Myeong Joo just tells him he will know when she comes.

Oh Young Shim arrives with Moon Shin Woo. Oh Young Shim took a couple of deep breathes to calm herself down. Moon Shin Woo says she does not have to fear as Moon Shin Woo is at her side. Moon Shin Woo asks Oh Young Shim to trust him.

Moon Shin Woo announces they are home. Myeong Joo and President Moon goes out. President Moon is shocked when he sees Oh Young Shim. He asks why is Oh Young Shim here in the house. Moon Shin Woo introduces Oh Young Shim as the woman he wants to marry. President Moon is in shock.

As usual, always on the job with recaps for us. Thanks, Bimbibap!! I know President Moon said ok to the relationship but do you think he is trying to separate YS and SW by sending her to Busan and SW to Jejudo, looks like trying to keep them apart through work, trying a different technique because his wife's methods hasn't been working. Oh well, I was thinking things were moving along too smoothly. It's a wait and see game!

In this drama, the strongest attractions, for me, have been 1) the pre-romance (the struttin' and leanin') between SW and YS and 2) the ability of the Manwoldang females to 'kick butt'.  

I wish we had had more episodes showing those attractions before heading into the 'headache' territory, which we are in now.  (Yes!  White headache bandages are still available.  And, it's part of the End of Summer Sale, too!)  

I really wanted to see the writer and director emphasize the ability of the female household to stand up for themselves.  I was actually  disappointed at how easily the women were cowed by the gangster/debt-collectors.  I thought we would see a response such as the one YS gave to that drunken customer who accosted her.  

As for President Moon's approach in dealing with the YS issue, it is as I expected from him.  There was no way he would welcome YS to be the wife of his 'prized' son.  (Makes me think of a heifer that won 1st prize at the state fair.)   And, I figured he'll wouldn't go the route of his wife's frontal-attack tactics, but, use some underhanded methods to 'get rid' of YS.  So, the roller coaster is picking up speed.  (Remember, I'm getting off if the ride becomes Space Mountain.)  

It will be interesting to see how much President Moon cares about who JW marries.  I'll wager that he doesn't give a hoot.

The character that totally mystifies me is SR.  WTH does or did she want anyway?!  

She pushed JW to the point that he gave her everything she wanted, i.e. assets and divorce, just to get away from her.  After which, she asked him to visit her father?  Why?

Then, when her father died and she went ballistic because JW refused to visit her father?  sheesh ...   (As if his refusal caused her father's death?)

Highlight of Episode 55

President Moon is obviously stunned by who Moon Shin Woo wanted to marry. However, President Moon does let Moon Shin or Oh Young Shim know of his disapproval and is polite and agreeable to entertain Oh Young Shim as their house guest. Myeong Joo is in horrors thinking that President must have suffered a great shock.

President Moon asks Oh Young Shim a few personal questions and agrees that Oh Young Shim has suffered a great deal. President Moon asks whether they are thinking of marriage. Moon Shin Woo says they are. Oh Young Shim says that she may be lacking but she will learned to improve herself. President Moon says that it will take some time to take in the news. Both Moon Shin Woo and Oh Young Shim are delighted having 'overcome' the hurdle.

Moon Shin Woo says that his father is different as President Moon has thought highly of Oh Young Shim. Oh Young Shim is delighted that President Moon has been so understanding.

Hye Ja asks how did the meeting with President Moon go and Oh Young Shim tells Hye Ja that President Moon was understanding about their relationship. Hye Ja says that it is indeed good news to hear.

Halmeoni is pleased but was sadden that Oh Young Shim will leave Manwoldang soon. Moon Shin Woo assures them that he will treat them like family. Halmeoni is thankful for such a thought. Hye Ja asks what of Myeong Joo and Moon Shin Woo says his mother will have to follow suit.

Jin Woo tells Hye Won that Se Ryung's father passed away. However, Jin Woo presses Hye Won that they should meet the parents. Jin Woo asks whether he should go to Manwoldang and asks permission and Hye Won tells Jin Woo that she is different from Oh Young Shim as Oh Young Shim stayed in Manwoldang for 15 years and treats them as family while she was not that attached to Manwoldang. Jin Woo says that Hye Won has to make known to them of the situation.

Hye Won drops the bombshell on Hye Ja. Hye Won tells Hye Ja that Hong Chul will not be coming back to Korea as he is living with another woman in the Philippines. Hye Won tells that they are now divorced. Although it is earlier thought that because of the failure of the business but it is not not so. Hye Ja collapse and Geum Shil comes in and asks what has happened. Hye Ja asks to contact Hong Chul immediately.

Geum Shil has a talk with Hye Won and asks Hye Won is in a relationship. Hye Won says that she is different from Oh Young Shim as she will find love and will leave. Geum Shil asks whether her ring on her finger is from that man. Soon Jung and Yun Jung comes home and Geum Shil tells them to see Hye Ja

Moon Shin Woo comes home and asks his mother to accept since President Moon has approves. Myeong Joo tells Moon Shin not to be so sure of it as President Moon is still reeling from the shock

Oh Young Shim's first day at work on the broadcast department but receives a cold response. The ladies asks her to make coffee and tea since she is a junior. Manager Go says she will go under a mentor and Im Ji Eun offers herself to teach Oh Young Shim the ropes.

President Moon discuss the matter of getting rid Oh Young Shim but the lawyer indicates that it was difficult as they have publicized Oh Young Shim winning the Shopping Host through her merit.

Yun Jung finds out that Ban Gun has called in sick and is concern.

Hye Ja thinks of what Hong Chul said to her. Hong Chul will not be returning to Korea and continue to live with his lover. He apologizes that even though he has hurt Viviana and Hye Ja but he wishes to live this way of life. Hye Ja scolds Hong Chul in her heart that he does not give a thought to the family

Myeong Joo calls Hye Ja to meet. Hye Ja tells Myeong Joo that Moon Shin Woo says that President Moon did not object. Myeong Joo says that her husband is still reeling from the shock of knowing that Oh Young Shim is the woman wants to marry. Myeong Joo tells Hye Ja not to expect that they will accept Oh Young Shim as their daughter-in-law

Jin Woo comes over and takes Hye Won and Viviana out. Jin Woo says that he is worry that Hye Won will suffer the same way as Oh Young Shim has of being send out of Manwoldang so he has prepare what needs to be prepare in case of such an event.

Oh Young Shim and Moon Shin Woo is to have lunch with President Moon. Moon Shin Woo ask how is her first at work in the broadcast and Oh Young Shim says there is loads of information to digest. Worse of all, Im Ji Eun is her mentor. Moon Shin Woo goes out and answer a call and Oh Young Shim passes a towel to President Moon addressing him as "Abunim". President Moon tells Oh Young Shim not to address him as so as he will not approve to marriage. President Moon tells Oh Young Shim that she is rather ambitious to think that with her qualifications to be able to reach such standards. As Moon Shin Woo was ending his call, President Moon tells Oh Young Shim that they will speak on it later. President Moon excuses himself from lunch.

Besides the disapproval of the Moon parents, I can think of one other obstacle . . . if YS can't have children.     That would be a deal breaker.

It's really interesting that the parent's reactions are so polar opposites regarding the woman each son wants to marry.  One does have to wonder if JW is even blood-related to the Moon parents.

Yikes, does YS have the power to pit herself against SW's father. Looks like she either goes to Busan or quit or be fired. Sometimes I feel SW is too opimistic about his father, SW has seen how his father treats JW, you know saying about a leopard never changes its spots. 文会长下令新宇接任泰国分公司负责人，要新宇结束和英心结婚的想法。英心知道文会长的意志，新宇说他去之后会回来，但新宇心里很乱。（应该是很担心在他去泰国这段时间英心会被父母逼退）

新宇带英心来到教堂正式求婚。

President Moon has ordered that Shin Woo takes over the responsibilities of the Thailand’s office operation, and he wants to ends Shin Woo’s idea of marrying Young Shim once and for all. Young Shim knows President Moon’s motive of intent. Shin Woo said that he will go there but will return but then Shin Woo is hesitant in his heart (probably he is worried that when he goes to Thailand, this duration of time, his parents by force a upper hand on Young Shim). Shin Woo takes Young Shim to a church then propose to her to marry him

In this drama, the strongest attractions, for me, have been 1) the pre-romance (the struttin' and leanin') between SW and YS and 2) the ability of the Manwoldang females to 'kick butt'.  

I wish we had had more episodes showing those attractions before heading into the 'headache' territory, which we are in now.  (Yes!  White headache bandages are still available.  And, it's part of the End of Summer Sale, too!)  

I really wanted to see the writer and director emphasize the ability of the female household to stand up for themselves.  I was actually  disappointed at how easily the women were cowed by the gangster/debt-collectors.  I thought we would see a response such as the one YS gave to that drunken customer who accosted her.  

As for President Moon's approach in dealing with the YS issue, it is as I expected from him.  There was no way he would welcome YS to be the wife of his 'prized' son.  (Makes me think of a heifer that won 1st prize at the state fair.)   And, I figured he'll wouldn't go the route of his wife's frontal-attack tactics, but, use some underhanded methods to 'get rid' of YS.  So, the roller coaster is picking up speed.  (Remember, I'm getting off if the ride becomes Space Mountain.)  

It will be interesting to see how much President Moon cares about who JW marries.  I'll wager that he doesn't give a hoot.

The character that totally mystifies me is SR.  WTH does or did she want anyway?!  

She pushed JW to the point that he gave her everything she wanted, i.e. assets and divorce, just to get away from her.  After which, she asked him to visit her father?  Why?

Then, when her father died and she went ballistic because JW refused to visit her father?  sheesh ...   (As if his refusal caused her father's death?)

I don't know.  The woman baffles me.  Perhaps, she thought of a 'brilliant' plan where she could 'have her cake and eat it, too".  Maybe, she didn't really want the divorce and only wanted to get her hands on the Moon Family assets.  Banking on the Moon Family not wanting any negative publicity, she used HW, as her 'patsy' to create the appearance of an affair, which help her get the settlement she wanted.  After which, she would have transferred the assets to her father.  Then, she would have wormed her way back in with JW and stayed married.  

However, she never banked on JW actually falling in love with HW . . .    Oh, well, as the saying goes . . . "The best laid plans of mice and men . . . "

Auntie Mame: I thought this drama was going to show strong women that don't take the usual crap from men like in most dramas ,but I see that I'm gonna have to leave soon. I've been trying to hang in there to see if JW grow some balls, and I had a feeling that SR was going to regret what she was doing and want JW back I guess him falling in love with HW and Vivianna wasn't in her plans. I'm hoping when SR moves back into the house he moves out if not I will stop watching. I absolutely  loved New Tales of Gisaeng until SaRan asked Midas to raise her hair, I had to stop watching,and the comments about DaMo father being possessed was enough for me I never did go back and watched another EP.
